   Summary

   The triton warrior known as Aleryn Vadorath has never been the most talented soldier in the Salathan Dominion. Her family history and struggles to control Positive Energy has kept her otherwise spotless career from advancing very far. But in the wake of heartbreak, she chooses to take a risk and volunteer to visit the surface nations so she can investigate rumors of a cult known as the "Crushing Wave". There, she hopes to prove herself to her superiors...and maybe find a personal answer along the way.

   (This story serves as a tie-in/prequel for my character in the official Dungeons and Dragons campaign "The Princes of the Apocalypse". As such, it contains minor spoilers for the campaign's premise.)
