"You okay?" Mickey asked, watching his husband intently across the small space of the kitchen.
"Yeah," He answered, nodding his head, straightening up and taking a sip of his beer. "Fine. Why?"
"Well, you took losing your job kinda hard," Mickey said, still watching his husband who hadn't met his eyes yet.
"Yeah, well, people are assholes," Ian said, turning around and jumping onto the counter. Mickey nodded to himself, bringing a hand up to scratch at his nose.
"Yeah, I, uh, just thought it might be a trigger or whatever. You been takin' your meds?" Mickey said, watching lan who glanced at him then away again.
"That why you wanted me to roll with you today?" lan asked, though he didn't sound angry. "Keep me occupied?"
"You were just being all sad and depressed and shit on the couch, man," Mickey said in way of explanation.
"Okay, well, I'm fine," He said, taking a sip of his beer, sucking his seeth. "And you worry too much."
Mickey nodded again, setting his beer down and walking over to the man on the counter, slotting himself between camo covered thighs. "I gotta worry, you're my husband," He grinned up at him, hands coming up to rest on Ian’s waist.
lan looked at him, his eyes lighting up as a smile spread across his lips, arms coming up around his husband’s neck. "Oh."
"Oh," Mickey smirked, letting lan pull him into a kiss, their bodies melting into one another.
Only breaking away at the sound of a giggle.
"Uncle Mickey and Uncle lan sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G!" They looked up to see Franny skipping towards them from the dark living room.
"First comes love, then comes marriage..." She paused looking between them, a huge grin on her face. "Then comes a baby in the baby carriage!"
"Aht, aht, no babies, little red," Mickey said, looking at the little girl shaking his head.
"Why not? I need a new best friend," Franny pouted, looking at them with big green eyes.
Mickey turned from lan with a mock gasp. "A new best friend? I thought I was your best friend?" He asked, his tone exaggerated and Franny giggled.
"Nope! I need a new best friend! One my age!" She said, her words coming out between giggles.
"Oh, I'm gonna get you for that, little red!" Mickey called out, running after the little girl.
"Uncle Mickey and Uncle lan sitting in the tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G!" Franny sang as she ran away from Mickey.
From his spot in the kitchen, Ian couldn't help but chuckle when the song was cut short by a shrieking laugh followed by the loudest giggles he'd ever heard, letting him know Mickey had caught Franny and was probably tickling her.
"Caught her," Mickey grinned, walking back into the kitchen, arm around Franny's waist.
lan burst out in laughter when he realized Franny was dangling upside down in his husband's arms.
