Bumblebee had always loved the sunrise.
Back on Cybertron, the sky would always fill with gorgeous yellows and oranges as the stars rose above the horizon. It was something Bee felt he could always rely on; no matter the battles and injuries, the sunrise would always be there.
When they evacuated to Earth, the amazement only grew.
Instead of strictly warm oranges and brilliant yellows, Earth’s sky would fill with breath-taking blues, pinks, and colors Bumblebee didn’t even know the sky could be.
He would never grow tired of the sight.
But, as he looked out over the shallow canyon, nothing but despair filled Bee’s spark.
The final battle had commenced, ending the war once and for all when Megatron tossed the Allspark into the space bridge.
The war was over , Bumblebee thought, he should be celebrating. But such a desire felt out of place compared to their reality.
The Allspark was gone ; lost to a vaporized space bridge. Their planet- their home - was doomed.
Bee sat on the canyon edge, watching the sunrise that overlooked the space bridge. Gorgeous pinks, oranges, reds, and blues danced across the atmosphere. But the scenery did not have the desired effect on the Autobot.
It wasn’t right. The beautiful view did not belong at such a devastating scene. It felt like a mockery. Almost as if the very Earth itself was taunting the Cybertronian race for being the cause of its own destruction.
Earth’s sunrises would always be magnificent. But, at that moment, Bee would have given anything to be able to spend one more dawn on Cybertron.
