Damien Blackrose was being fitted for his new Absolute Leader outfit. He had decided that all the members of the new government required uniforms to show their political unity. This included Damien himself and his second-in-command, Deputy Supreme Leader Jian Kimfeng. Although Damien had never served in the armed forces, he still wanted his outfit to be very military-like in appearance to display his power and authority. He wanted the same for Jian.
The designer of the new outfits, who had been one of Damien’s loyal followers since the early days of Damien’s campaign, made sure that his Absolute Leader was properly fitted and looked his best. His leader deserved nothing less. Damien looked in the mirror as he adjusted his black necktie. He really liked how the outfit looked, but there was just something that felt missing. Perhaps he would know when the ensemble was complete. The designer pinned Damien’s purple armband with the Blackrose insignia to his jacket sleeve. He then handed a military cap with two diagonally crossed swords for an emblem to the Absolute Leader. After putting on his cap, Damien looked himself over in the mirror. Something was still missing. Damien then looked down at his bare hands. An idea came to mind.
“Bring me a pair of white dress gloves,” the Absolute Leader ordered. Damien looked at himself once more in the mirror after putting them on. Now the ensemble looked complete. Damien then decided that white gloves would be a mandatory part of the uniform for everyone outside of combat uniforms and school uniforms (though they may even be mandatory for formal functions with the latter). Damien felt that white gloves made the uniform look more formal and official and whatever the Absolute Leader declared, it was so.
