The elven mage looks up as she swiftly pushes the door shut behind her. She blinks, obviously not having expected him. “Shit,” she mutters. “I'm sorry. I…uh…need somewhere to hide.”He stares back at her, his mind struggling to make sense of her words. Surely she would not have come here had danger found them. “Hide?” he echoes, brow furrowing.
She bobs her head in a quick nod and moves further into the room, glancing around quickly. “Been trying to get away for an hour. I promise you won't even know I'm here.”
He watches in confused fascination as she crouches down to shuffle around a few crates and canvas sacks to slip underneath the kitchen counter a few feet to his left before pulling everything back into place to shield her hiding spot.
Her disembodied voice calls out, “Carry on!” before she goes silent.
