Summary
The thing about being quiet is that people ignore you. They forget your name, they forget you’re there, they forget you. Everything that happens happens without you.
Abed wanted desperately to be like his classmates, to fit in, to have people look up when he walked into the room, greet him when he sat down in his seat. He yearned for the connections he watched his classmates form. But he didn’t know how.
So he’d just have to be content with watching.
