Homura Akemi would time travel for Kaname Madoka.
Homura Akemi would protect Kaname Madoka.
Homura Akemi would kill for Kaname Madoka.
Homura Akemi would become a witch for Kaname Madoka.
Homura Akemi would fall into the depths of despair and the pits beyond hope for Kaname Madoka.
Homura Akemi would become the devil for Kaname Madoka.
Homura Akemi..
..would do anything for Kaname Madoka.
Yet.. What does Madoka think of this?
—
"Devil."
"God."
The heavenly sat upon seats made of fragile, crackable glass; expression remaining inpentrable and unknown, God's bright as the sun yellow eyes shined through the Devil's bloody pink pupils, smirking like she was the Cheshire cat. The table, in the middle of nowhere, far beyond Mitakihara City was eerily similar to something that both could easily connect. That grand big cake will be dearly missed by Bebe. Two sat in silence, the lizard painfully putting up a face which was not hers, resembled her.. But something wasn't right? Sometimes, wonders like 'how'd it come to this..' invade their minds. It had seemed, in the lizards eyes.. Even god was stuck on this (?)
Born to love eachother, destined to always be opposing enemies. When all is said and done, it's just two eternally fourteen year olds, eternally crazed to love eachother; One deeper in the ground then the other, and another whom only seemed to believe in hope.
'God' put her hands together, a sad smile on her divine face. "Homura.."
"Madoka. I want to let you know about something..." Homura stated, leaving the goddess curious and riddled. "Go on, Akemi. We have all the time in the omniverse." Madoka replied, patient and serene within the endless sea of memories linked between them, ribbons a sparkling white, flowing in non-existent wind.
The Devil snook over closer, which the Goddess quickly took note of. Kaname mumbled a quick 'Hm' under her breath, why would she come closer? Perhaps she wants to intiate combat. Why would Homura, though? She'd wouldn't be able to win; Nor would Madoka want to hurt her best friend. Just best friend right? Yes. As 'god' she has a responsibility not to have any romantic relationship with anyone-- Especially the Devil herself. She doesn't have a mortal flesh form exactly-- So why does she feel something beating?
This simply cannot be right. God wants the Devil to be safe and loved, without her so the world will go on peacefully-- The nutcracker witch, the Devil wishes for something else. Worlds stand before her, yet she passes through, destroying all to head back to God. Her Devil has already put up with so much, what purpose does she have despite working so hard already?
While the Goddess is caught up in her thoughts, the Devil slides a small peck on God's cheek before sitting down on the part of the table right infront of her. "Madoka.. Accept my love. It has grown stronger then any emotion, period.. So I beg." The demon's voice came out smooth, like honey whilst having a somber feeling upon her front, eyebrows together in a sad facial expression. However, the God did feel the same. The reason she could not, was right under the Devil's nose. "Homura.." The God frowned, looking up at her (once?) lover.
"I'm afraid I cannot accept. I had sacrificed myself for you, to have a better life.. Even if--"
Flashbacks flashed like a movie; Everything she had done, was for the world to better itself. The curse of Magical Girls was eradicated. Wraiths were created. She could have just wished to erase the Magical Girl concept of fighting and witches in general, right? No. There wouldn't have been enough time. Mirrors appear from all around the now opposing gods, memories flooding in like a tsunami and emotion nowhere to be seen. Akemi started to speak before the Devil herself couldn't even conclude her thoughts.
"Madoka.. your sacrifice was not needed."
....!!!
Madoka got up from her glass seat speedily, said glass shattering promptly and fading into the galaxies void. The shards hit Homura, her smile only widening at Kaname's surprise. Had she finally changed the course of time and all her Goddess could see in the far future? Including this moment? Regardless, she continued to smile, even if it wasn't out of joy.
"E-E..Excuse me..?" The Devil chuckled at her Goddess's 'tantrum' sliding off the table to swiftly take Madoka's hand, the Demon's other hand going across God's waist. "You never wanted to, did you, Miss Goddess?" Akemi looked pitful, starting to spin Madoka in circles, as if they were dancing in a ballroom. "It's okay.." She puts her hand off the pink haired gods waist, slowly reaching for her chin and putting a finger under. "Your best friend is here to save you, right?" Now Homura's smile turned to dull, almost as if she was angry. "A-Akemi.." "Homura. Call me Homura."
Goddess Madoka took a deep breath, "I can't accept this, you know this. And as for the sacrifice--" The Devil sighed loudly, loud enough for the god to stop talking. "No need to lie. I'm the person closest to you, you can tell me." The Demon brings the Goddess closer lips so near yet so far, lightly brushing against eachother as the lizard, now the serene and patient one waits for a response.
..
"Homura.. I.."
"I do love you. But.."
The clock ticks faster, as if Homura wanted time to speed up in this moment-- It hits 9:59 on October 31st sooner and before the two know it, are aware of it..
"We need to get a divorce." Madoka sighs bleakly, even though she's a god, tears are flowing out of her yellow eyes. "Wait.."
Confusion spiraled in Akemi's head, wondering ever there was ever a timeline where they got married at fourteen. Did they? How could she forget if it did happen? How could this be????
"We were married?"
