Summary
Stars. The sky is full of them.
Steve blinks. Eddie and Billy’s faces swim into view. They look divine against the starry background. Would be nice if he could see clearly though... It feels like there’s gunk in his eyes. Everything’s all blurred. Steve tries to raise his hand to wipe his eyes, but his arms are too heavy. He should probably worry about that. But the stars are so damn beautiful, and Eddie and Billy are on either side of him, just as stunning. Maybe they’re holding him down? If they are, it must be for a good reason. The air weighs him down like a warm, heavy quilt. It’s like being bound, but better since the pressure is all around him, not just the bindings.“Are you crying?” Steve asks Billy, trying to pull him into his arms. Billy shakes his head violently. “You’re allowed to cry,” Steve insists. “Don’t cry alone.” He manages to raise his arm. It’s so heavy, and even this motion makes his entire body quiver with the effort. Fortunately, Billy folds into him easily. Steve takes a deep breath. The stars get closer. His tongue gets even heavier. Slowly, the world goes black.
