Summary
Polites, barely escaping the cyclops with his life, ends up severely injured, and when Odysseus tries to patch up his injuries his viewpoint of his best friend shifts from what he originally thought to be friendly, to pure infatuation. With blunt-force head trauma from the Cyclops, Polites tries to get rid of anyone and everyone in the way between him and Odysseus after he’s healed enough to stand. War can change a person. Usually not for the better.
