Summary
Telemachus finally broke the companionable silence, his voice soft but direct. “Uncle Polites… where is your family?”
Polites smiled—warm, easy. “Where? Little lion, it’s right here,” he said, sweeping his hand lazily in a wide arc. “They’re all around me. Your father. Your mother. Eurylochus. Ctimene. You.” His grin turned sly. “Especially you. The troublemaker-in-chief.”
Telemachus laughed, but only for a moment. The smile faded, replaced by a faint furrow between his brows. “No, I mean… your first family. Before us. The ones you came from. The ones who held you before you were big.”
Polites’s smile thinned, a loose thread pulled at the edge of an old tunic. He sat up a little straighter. “Oh,” he said quietly. “That family...”
Or, Polites reflects on his birth family and the moments that changed his life forever. He reminds Telemachus about a very important rule: family are the people you choose, not the blood you share.

Summary
Odysseus slammed the only survivor against the wall, his sword pressed firmly enough against the guard’s trembling throat that blood spilled, black and reflective as it soaked under his armour.
“Which ones?” he snarled, low and feral, as monstrous as he had ever sounded. The guard only stared back, wild-eyed and silent. “You said your king stole Greek heirs. Which fucking ones?”
Barely even a gurgle in response, choked and incredulous. “How the fuck would I know, you think I keep a list of all the whores in this palace?” Something purely dangerous must have shown in his expression, the violent wall behind which he hid a terror so suffocating it would consume him alive, as the guard continued, as frantic as prey in a predator’s jaws.
“I- the Ithacan, I know, but the others-”
He didn’t feel the force in the shock of lighting that shot through him, only the scrape of his blade along the wall and the hollow thud of a skull falling to the stone below.
Telemachus.

Summary
(Still, Percy swallows, following her eyes out to the horizon. "I don't understand. I don't understand why I'm here," he tells her.
Through a slow sigh, Athena counters, "Some things don't need to be understood. They just need to happen.”)
Rescued from death by the hands of Athena, Percy finds himself wandering through ancient Greece without a true destination. Within time, he learns that the borders of Ithaca hold more than he could have ever imagined.
When he and a war-torn Odysseus are pulled far away from the kingdom, thrown back into a test by the Gods, only two questions remain: will they be able to work together to get home, and what will they give to get there?

Telemachus is adorable.
He is NOT broken. Just a little cracked.
He may not act like it but he is 21 years old god damnit.
Odysseus may make some mistakes but he's trying so hard.
Somewhat more light hearted than the first installment.
Can't really be read as a stand alone and also PLEASE READ THE TAGS.

Summary
Morpheus, the God of Dreams, takes pity on the King and Queen of Ithaca. Odysseus’s return is many years away, yet his and Penelope’s minds find each other in sleep. It’s both a blessing and a curse, and sometimes all that keeps them going.
Queen Penelope stepped into the dream as easily as crossing a threshold, and with her came the sun, as if Helios's carriage rode atop her billowing black hair. The carnage vanished in her presence, the ground no longer a battlefield but a sloping grassy hill dotted with olive trees. Her bright blue eyes almost glowed, searching the hillside with clear intent.
The King of Ithaca stood, gazing at her as if she were a vision of Aphrodite herself. The blood streaking his face and staining his hands evaporated in the wake of her sunlight, the dead bundle in his arms vanishing with it.
Morpheus stared as well, unable to believe that she stood before them. It was no shaped dream becoming a nightmare, no conjuration of the King’s mind to protect himself. It was her, slipping into his dream as if it were a room in their home. Answering her husband’s desperate cries.

Summary
The day Lady Nereis came to Ithaca, the sea wore its gentlest face.
Polites watched more than he looked. He watched the way Nereis’s gaze slid to the palace guard and lingered—no, not to the guard. To him. He watched the tilt of her head, the dart of calculation, the faint intrigue when her eyes found the man in plain bronze with the laurel brooch at his shoulder.
She was a hunter too, then.
After, Polites moved through the first days of Nereis’s visit as he moved through everything: with care, with attention, with habit. He made sure he was never alone in a room with her without an open door and servants moving through. He set Eurylochus at the far end of any space where he stood guard. He made certain Nereis’s maid, a sharp-eyed woman called Erato, was always near.
And yet—no matter how he placed the pieces—the board kept changing.
Or, when a delegate from Zakinthos comes to Ithaca, Polites finds himself in the middle of a hunt. Except, he is the prey, and Lady Nereis will not take 'no' for an answer.

Summary
"Of course you want to tell Hector."
"That's not what I said," Polites protested. "I said he's the captain. You decided that at the meeting I wasn't at. Don't be impulsive, Hector must know—"
"Impulsive?" Odysseus echoed, and Polites wanted to punch himself. Why had he said impulsive? Why not any other word in the world?
He was tired. And he could barely hear Odysseus' complaints. Polites was tired, tired of everything and everyone, and he understood Patroclus, who had taken refuge in bed. He understood Helen, who had carried him away and then simply sat there staring at the sea.
He wasn't Hector, and he wasn't Odysseus. He wasn't born to fight, and just because he knew how to do it didn't mean he could.
"Listen," he said, already forgetting what Odysseus had just said. "You have to tell the captain what a god told you. Not doing so is mutiny."
Odysseus looked at the sack, not at him. "Fine. But I'll be the one to tell him, and no one else will know."

Odysseus took a deep breath. His mind working over the Prophecy's words, "What will happen if he's left to live?"
The eagle laughed, an unnatural chilling sound, "If Astyanax is allowed to live, he would inevitably seek revenge for the fall of Troy and the death of his father, Hector. Furthermore, it is foretold that he would eventually rebuild Troy."
Those exact words, huh?
Or:
Odysseus uses his hidden lawyer skills to find loopholes in the prophecy and save the baby.
In doing so, he unknowingly acquired the 'Baby On Board' sign, therefore got immunity from his trials and hardships, lol XD -

Summary
“I am most delighted,” Penelope had said, fingers tightening gently around Ctimene’s hand, her voice earnest with joy. “Truly, most delighted – that Odysseus has a sister. For I–” and there she had laughed softly, as though confessing some girlish hope, “ –I was raised in a house of men, you see. Only brothers I had, loud and brawling, and no beloved sister. I had always longed for an elder sister. And now, the gods have granted one to me at last.”
She looked to Ctimene with wide open eyes, searching for the spark of shared sentiment. But the warmth she offered was not returned.
Ctimene had frowned, her lips parting with a slowness that suggested the words had waited long behind her teeth. She drew back just enough to reclaim the space between them, cold.
(or, in the early days after her arrival to Ithaca, Penelope talks to Ctimene in an effort to get closer to her new husband's sister - it does not go so well)

Summary
In short, Poseidon finds Telemachus' ship as he's sailing back to Ithaca from his diplomatic mission. After realizing it was Odysseus' son, he blinded Telemachus and drowned the ship, leaving only one survivor to tell the tale. To make sure Odysseus -if he were to ever return- would know that it was he who murdered the boy. A son for a son.
In retaliation, the Fates take pity on him and decide to send him back to when the suitors started showing up, to find a way to get rid of them once and for all, and to perhaps live to see the day his father comes back home.
In addition to this, the Fates have given him prophetic dreams, well, some are prophetic, others are of the past. Either way, he gets a new power beneath his belt and maybe he'll show the suitors just how hard a little Wolf's bite could be.
