Summary
For sixteen years, Patroclus has worked hard to keep the war from harming those he loved the most. He convinced Achilles to choose peace and life over glory, and together they had grown and raised their family. He was convince King Peleus and the foreign leaders alike to keep Phthia out of the war, preventing a single man from being shipped to the beaches of Troy. He had worked hard to keep the peace, and for a long time, succeeded.
But that was before the cunning King of Ithaca uses his tricks to attack the peaceful family on their eldest's 16th birthday, taking away their peace, their safety and their oldest son. That was before Odysseus showed he thought himself entitled to take it all. That was before Odysseus showed he thought no consequences would come to him.
Patroclus would prove him wrong, ensuring the Ithacan King lost what he had lost. That all those war-mongering kings, the ones whose arrogance and entitlement kept the war raging for 16 years, would lose it all.

Patroclus decides to avenge his time by conquering Greece.

Summary
The war has ended, but peace has not come to Ithaca. Its shores remain empty of its men and young Telemachus watches his mother fade as she waits for a husband lost to the sea.
At ten years old, Telemachus is visited by Poseidon. As a show of mercy, the deity offers a bargain: if Telemachus can convince Odysseus that he, his own son, despises him by the end of the month, then his father may stay in Ithaca. But if the Prince fails, he will be cast adrift for twenty years in his father's stead.

My mom and I had worked in the palace for as long as I could remember. She told me the stories of the gods, the Trojan War the king had left to fight in. That had been nineteen years ago, I’d been born around when the war had started.
Queen Penelope was kind, she ensured my mother didn’t have to go near the suitors at my request. I took over her old jobs that revolved around the suitors. That meant putting up with their endless taunts and jabs. I’d learned to be quick witted and even quicker on my feet.
That didn't stop me from getting in trouble with them, despite my efforts Mom had spent ever growing amounts of time wrapping wounds.
I was well known around the palace staff, the whoreson servant who didn’t know when to keep his mouth shut. That was fine. I’d clean up my mother’s reputation and make the people who doubted me pay eventually.

AUTHORS NOTE(S):
In this AU, Telemachus is 19, and the training is what the "diplomatic mission", referenced in "Hold Them Down", is. This is also my first fic in a whiillee that's not a one-shot, so I apologise in advance for the gods awful writing. Ithica and Troy are kingdoms well known in the area, yet they do not have modern technology. The Trojan War happened in the past, but also twenty years ago -- Ody thinking about the horse his ancestors made.

Fever. Penelope resisted the urge to groan.
She had not fallen ill — well, physically ill — when her husband was away, yet now only a few weeks after his return she falls victim to a fever. A part of her wished to find amusement in the irony of it.
(Penelope falls ill. Penelope has fever dreams. They are not pleasant — hardly anything is pleasant when it comes to fevers, really. At the very least, Odysseus is there).

Summary
In short, Poseidon finds Telemachus' ship as he's sailing back to Ithaca from his diplomatic mission. After realizing it was Odysseus' son, he blinded Telemachus and drowned the ship, leaving only one survivor to tell the tale. To make sure Odysseus -if he were to ever return- would know that it was he who murdered the boy. A son for a son.
In retaliation, the Fates take pity on him and decide to send him back to when the suitors started showing up, to find a way to get rid of them once and for all, and to perhaps live to see the day his father comes back home.
In addition to this, the Fates have given him prophetic dreams, well, some are prophetic, others are of the past. Either way, he gets a new power beneath his belt and maybe he'll show the suitors just how hard a little Wolf's bite could be.
