Summary
Jace's six years of peace and happiness on Dragonstone come to a screeching halt when his younger brother Joffrey is poisoned. Desperate to protect his family, Jace seeks help from an unlikely source: the uncles he has not spoken to in a great many years. Time and bad blood have driven them apart, but united against a deadly foe, the young dragon riders manage to find common ground once again.
But a decades-old feud will not be settled by budding friendships, or even a budding romance. Bloodshed begets bloodlust until the pages of the history books are stained a vivid crimson.
