Chapter Text
“You don’t know me, not like this, but you have to take me through that door.”
Percy looked at the blonde man and his stomach did something funny, but he didn’t know why. There was a sort of warmth in the man’s tone that felt very familiar. Something that Percy couldn’t pinpoint (gee, he has no memories of anything, I wonder why he can’t pinpoint anything!) what exactly was different about this man. His hair was short, but it should be long. His icy blue eyes should be deeper, less like a cold winter and more like a warm summer day. But for the first time in weeks, Percy felt like he was home in this man’s presence.
But why?
“You need help walking across the highway?” Percy asked.
The man’s blue eyes crinkled at the corners and his lips turned upward in a smile. “It’s good to see you haven’t lost your sense of humor, seashell. Alas, I need you to take me across the road and to that door. I will handle things for you from there.”
Seashell? That word sent a pang through his chest.
Percy sighed. “Okay, let’s go.”

Percy looked into the younger boy’s brown eyes, glowing almost amber in the sunlight. “I know you.”
The boy’s face flashed in surprise before quickly schooling his features. “Do you?”
“Percy, this is my brother, Nico. Nico, this is Percy. He arrived just before you did!” Hazel piped up. Percy extended a hand toward the boy, and Nico took his hand and shook, looking as if Percy would bite him at any second.
“Do, uh… Do either of you know where I could find Nausinous? Or Nausithous?” Percy asked after a beat of silence.
Nico reeled back.
“Oh, uh, I’m afraid I don’t know who that is, Percy. I’m sorry,” Hazel spoke. “Why?”
“I… I don’t know, actually. They’re the only names I can remember, but I can’t remember why I remember them. But I need to find them. I think I just… I think I just need to know that they’re okay, is all…”
