“I…” Agatha’s voice trails off. “I don’t know…” She retreats to her couch like a dog with its tail between its legs. “This would be a bad idea. It would be a really bad idea.”
She makes a fair point. Usually, people aren’t in a rush to have sex with the person who lured their six-year-old child into the afterlife, but Agatha’s always been different, hasn’t she? Besides, this wouldn’t be the first time. Nor would it be the last, Rio reckons.
“Does that suddenly deter you?” She asks, her voice suddenly sweet like sugar. “I know a few things you’ve done specifically because it was a bad idea.”
Agatha takes a moment to consider it, then jumps off the couch. “You know what? Fuck it.”
Rio’s eyes widen. “I’m not an it.”
Or, Rio visits Agatha to discuss a case, and by discuss a case, she means the exact opposite of that.
