Summary
Fyodor Dostoevsky is a priest who spends his nights carrying out God's will by eliminating unrepentant sinners. When a strange man appears at his church claiming to have witnessed Fyodor's latest kill, he is sure he'll be jailed and hanged. But, instead, the man offers to join him and assist with his killings.
Fyodor never could have foreseen how far astray accepting the man's assistance would lead him. Nikolai Gogol had become his ultimate temptation. He was both the forbidden fruit and the serpent tempting Fyodor to take a bite. For that, the man would have to die. But, killing Nikolai was proving harder than he had expected.
