Chapter 1: Chapter 1

Chapter Text

A storm was raging, strong winds were hitting the windows of the house and inside there were people awake, walking down the hallway on the second floor. There was a mixture of anger and indignation present in the adult woman's body. Agatha Harkness preferred a quiet, calm house, isolated from the rest of the world and she got a noisy house in the suburb of Westview.

Damn, Wanda. She thought. She kept her locked up for three years and her son still showed up at her door. Take me to the path. He said. But the path was a huge lie created by her and Nicholas, but Billy had to make it a reality to leave her mind in a mess.

Now, after escaping the path alive and well, she had a Coven and the witches were living in her house. Unemployed women, Agatha wonders if she made being unemployed a mandatory requirement. That morning, Agatha woke up desperate to go to the bathroom, but Jennifer was already inside the bathroom, doing her daily routine and claiming that Lilia was occupying the other bathroom for some unknown reason.

“This house doesn’t know what privacy is,” Jennifer grumbled when she heard the door open. A nervous Agatha came in, running to the toilet and throwing everything up. “Wow, Agatha, does one beer make you like this?” She said, a light joke as they were used to.

Alice had bought pizza and beers for them the day before, commenting that they needed something that didn’t involve the food Jennifer usually prepared – in short, macaroni and cheese – they ate while watching a movie that Lilia chose – a very old one – and Agatha consumed only one beer the whole night.

“There was clearly something wrong with that pizza.” She got up and flushed the toilet. She shuffled over to the sink, brushing her teeth. “I’m going to start locking my room.” She warned softly. Jennifer didn’t listen, she just continued her daytime routine while Agatha lay down again.

“We need to go shopping again.” Alice entered the room, she ate the rest of her cereal and leaned against the doorframe. Agatha grumbled, her face buried in the pillow. “What happened to her?” Jennifer shrugged in response and went back into the bathroom.

“You need to get a job,” Agatha whispered again, they heard her this time. Technically, they all work. Jennifer opened her shop again, but in Westview, and increased her sales. Lilia stopped fortune-telling and was working at a health food store. Alice was working as a police officer alongside Agatha.

Yes. Yes. When Wanda kept her under a spell, she was a detective. The idea of continuing to be a police officer came to her when she needed money to keep her house. Damn, Wanda. She thought again.

“We work, Agatha.”

“And why do they live in my house?”

“A Coven must stay together,” Lilia recited the words. Agatha raised her head to realize that they were inside her room. “You look horrible,” she declared, bringing a cup of tea to her lips.

“Thank you so much, Lilia.” Agatha buried her face in the pillow again. She thought about whether she should kick them all out of her house, but she also thought that it wouldn’t be long before she missed them. They had been living together for four years now, she had gotten used to them.

Months ago, that scene would have happened with Billy too, invading the room to Agatha's dismay, but he currently lives in New York because of the small team he was forming. He still made his surprise visits when he wanted, but he's slowing down. The women miss the teenager, even if they don't say it out loud.

"Hangover, I'm sure."

"No, it's not." Lilia interrupted Jennifer as she left the room. Jennifer just exchanged glances with Alice, trying to understand if the witch understood, but they had the same expression of confusion on their faces.

"Lilia," Jen called out to the woman, walking out of the room.

Damn, Wanda.

Damn, Wanda.

Damn, Scarlet Witch.

Agatha grumbled again, searching for a familiar scent, but nothing, it was just the scent of her shampoo. No warm body rested near her, protecting her from the world and promising things that would never happen. Nothing. Nothing because she made her promise to never appear in front of her again, she knew, she understood that what Rio did was not entirely her choice.

They had been together for almost two centuries, she would not forget Rio like that, she would not forget the love she felt, she would not stop being in love with her and she would not stop missing her. Hell. She sat on the bed once more as she let out a tired sigh. She put on a robe, left her room and let out low grumbles about the choices of her heart.

“The boy Billy is famous” Agatha stopped in the middle of the living room, looked at the television, where a report was showing about the new heroes, Billy was appearing while talking to a member of his team.

“I can see jealousy, Agatha” Jennifer joked.

“He lives with this girl,” Alice commented, pointing to the person Billy was talking to, a girl with dark brown, wavy hair that looked a little like Agatha's hair because of its length.

“He said that gays hang out together,” Jennifer said laughing, “That's why Agatha became her mentor.” Agatha immediately turned to her.

“Are there any straight people in this Coven?” Alice pointed to Lilia, “Lilia is the Queen of the lesbians.” She rolled her eyes as she walked into the kitchen and heard Lilia trying to defend herself from the comment.

When she entered the kitchen, a mixture of egg and bacon smell hit her and her stomach churned angrily, she put her hand over her mouth and ran to the bathroom in the hallway, vomiting again.

What the hell is this?

Agatha wondered as she stood up, her body sweating, she washed her face and took a deep breath, trying to ease the nausea she felt. Lilia was standing in the bathroom doorway, looking at her with a smile, Agatha was sure she knew something.

"It's not for medicine for nausea" Lilia left it hanging, leaving the bathroom and only increased Agatha's curiosity, who remained standing in the bathroom.

Holy shit.
