XD This time, it's a fanmake of the third theatrical film "Legend of the Gold of Babylon", which took years to get a proper English dub back in 2018 or so since it's original release. (It was sub-only when first released here) And I can say compared to the previous fanmake/film, it's more wacky and weird compared, but still on-point. So how does Korra, her krew, Tenzin and other's play into things? Same with our newer(ish) characters? Well, let's read on and find out...

Chapter Text

Republic City, the shining capital of the United Republic of Nations.

Tonight, the lights are bright, the streets are full and many are enjoying the nightlife.

No matter where you go, all are alive and living their best lives.

Downtown, Harmony Park, Central District, the Port by the bay, you name it.

For this tale, it shall begin in the Dragon Flats borough, in one of the few spots in the city where the streets aren't glowing brightly with light.

For walking past a local cold cream shop, or Ice Cream to those outside of the Earth Kingdom, was a lone woman.

A short, older one laughing out into the night blissfully.

With her pink satchel slung around her shoulder and a bottle of whatever cheap, but effective hooch she had in hand, the old woman stumbled her way along the rather empty sidewalk. Not a care in the world.

Even as the streets were cluttered with litter and the walls adorned with graffiti, it didn't bother the gray haired female who looked to hail from the Ret-Kadda region of the Earth Kingdom, her wide brimmed hat slipping all over her eyesight as she walked about with a nice purple sash over her green and gold long dress and jacket.

The sound of a metal can being hit and the sensation of kicking it with her sandal covered foot did get her attention.

"What the hell's this...?" she asked out in a slur, twirling backwards in such a way she hadn't even noticed the light pole she was about to collide into back first until she did.

"What the-! Ow!" was blurted out from her, dropping her bottle of booze as she turned around at the lit up post.

"Excuse me..."

Leaning to grab her drink back in hand, thankful the cap was already screwed on and it didn't shatter, the old lady resumed her journey along the streets of the Dragon Flats.

All while a little ditty came to mind, one the old lady decided to sing by her lonesome.

"How many miles to Sona?" she belted on in her drunken state, not a care in the world as the singing continued.

"Three score miles and ten, la-la-lahh... Can I get there by candle-light? Can I get back here again?"

As she made a turn, the inebriated lady saw at the corner of her eyes one building that looked to be presently lively judging by the lights on as well as the vehicles parked near it.

THIS looked promising to her as she saw the sign that hung over the door of the hole in the wall joint.

'Monster Club Bar'

"Hum, interesting name." she observed before deciding to make her way to the front door and entering through it to get inside as she heard some poppy and hoppy sounding dance music the closer she got.

Closing the door behind her, the drunk woman got herself a good look at how happening inside was, a big goofy grin on her face forming.

"Oooh, swanky!"

It seemed that the bar's name wasn't as out of place as each of its patrons wore masks of many sorts, all themed around different monsters.

Some wore those made of latex, others with cheap thin plastic held by stretchy string and a few who wore more hard PVC. Though some female patrons chose to just rock headbands with animal ears.

Yet none were bothered by the house rules as they all danced and drank to their heart's content, enjoying the nightlife as the music kept pumping through the speakers played by the DJ.

And hey, she may certainly be up there in years, but the old woman was still up to party.

Wobbling her legs along with each step, fueled by liquor as she walked by some guys trying to pick up a girl, the drunk held her hands together in joy.

"Wow, everyone's so good-looking!" she cheered out before grabbing some fella in a crococat mask by the upper body and pulled him down.

All to give the surprised patron a huge kiss on the lips, letting him go and letting out her approval.

"Wonderful!"

"What was that?" The crococat masked man let out before seeing the old lady jump towards one of the two guys still trying to get with the girl.

He didn't expect some old bag to suddenly latch onto his side and try giving him a peck on the cheek as the other two watched him struggle to break free.

"Cut it out, lady!"

Elsewhere, sitting right at the bar near the green cap wearing bartender named Cai was cleaning a glass were two who looked to keep to themselves.

Two who looked to be women who were close; A Fire Nation female in a suit and fedora keeping calm, while the other was a Earth Kingdom woman with a sheathed sword at her side, her nerves a little shaky.

'Looked' being the keyword for their voices betrayed the truth as the one wearing the hat spoke to the other currently downing his drink.

"Hey, take it easy, Shin."

"OH, okay, Viper."

Both voices were clearly that of males, one trying to get the other to relax, ignoring the bar patron dressed up in a realistic looking goat gorilla suit under a buttoned-up shirt, suspenders, slacks and shoes.

The one called Viper took out a smoke and placed it in his mouth before doing the same with his lighter.

That he was having some issue sparking up a light, getting annoyed...

... until he saw a friendly hand hold out another in hand, easily flicking a flame for him.

The bartender of this fine establishment, Cai, decided to help out who he had thought were some drag queens, watching the fedora wearing one stick his cigarette along the flame, inhaling what he could.

"Ladies, what are your favorite monsters?" he offered in a friendly tone, having been working here for awhile, figuring selling produce at a stand didn't just cut it in Republic City. Especially stuff like cabbage.

Despite being thankful for the assist, Viper blew out some smoke from his mouth before answering for him and his buddy.

"I don't care for monsters."

"But it's customary to wear monster masks at this club." Cai had to point out, waving his hand over to a rack of masks for them to wear with a big ol' grin on his face.

Reaching below the counter, he pulled out a blue and white spirit mask along with a wolfbat looking one. "How about these two? I think they'd suit you, myself."

"What the hell are you talking about, you moron?" Viper retorted with, grabbing the bottom of his chin before pulling it up, revealing under the Fire Nation female looking face was in fact that of an older bearded Water Tribe man under it. "We're already wearing masks!"

Okay, so Cie was wrong about these two being drag queens. But still not an issue as he watched the talkative one put his latex mask fully back on.

Swearing that something seemed just a bit familiar about who the two were dressed up ass.

"Oh? I get it, what are those monsters called?"

"Azula and Kuvira..." Viper confirmed for the bar keep, reaching under his costume's suit jacket.

To reveal the six-chambered repeater he had on him.

"... one's a monster with a 0.3 second fast-draw."

OKAY, now Cie was starting to perhaps understand things. "OOH." he squeaked out as both his customers began to scan the area, Viper of course doing the talking with his voice down enough, even with the loud music.

"Where's Korra? Seen her?"

Knowing it was best to maybe avoid whatever was next, the bartender quickly shook his head, but kept up his friendly tone as he went to check on another. "No, haven't seen her."

Knowing they HAD to find their target, the two goons in disguise of their target's friends knew that the infamous Korra Nanouk The Third was around SOMEWHERE in the bar.

Needing to keep low, Viper glanced back at Shin, both grabbing their drinks to clang.

"Don't blow it, ya' hear?"

"Me kill Korra." The guy in the Kuvira costume, himself also Water Tribe like his buddy, insisted in his... special way.

All while paying no mind to the old drunk lady trying to hold onto and dance with another unlucky suitor in costume, both stumbling about the bar.

"Get off me!" The guy let out before both he and the older woman crashed into the table of the patron in the goat gorilla costume, who was trying to chat up the cute waitress with the horned bunny ear headband.

A crash which knocked into the patron, causing her to be flung into a nearby shelf with a yell, bottles of hooch falling off and hitting the floor, some breaking.

"AAAHHH!"

That in of itself was surprising for the others in the bar to see, the person inside the costume groaning out as one more fell, hitting them on their rear end.

"Ow," came out, the female inside the costume just thankful what she wore took most of the blows, shaking her head. "Dammit to hell..."

Ready to approach and apologize, the old woman happened to be close enough to hear what was just uttered.

And being around the block enough, she knew dang well who was inside that big bulky costume.

"Oh, if it isn't the Water Tribe sweetie herself!" She couldn't help but coo out, holding her arms out in delight as the costumed woman's sight adjusted back to normal to get a good look at her. "Do you remember me?"

And for her part, Korra Nanouk The Third just gave a big smile from under her mask, remembering the old acquaintance of hers from some time before.

"Hey, if it ain't old lady Jargala Omo!" The world famous lady thief referred to the older lady by name. "I'd be a hog monkey's aunt, I remember ya', yeah. Still clinging to life, I see."

Watching Jargala give a small giggle and a bashful wave of the hand, Korra grabbed an intact bottle of whiskey and passed it over to her.

"Pretty sure you'll keep giving Death the finger as long as you can, so drink up, ol' girl!"

Thankful for the kindness shown her way, the Earth Kingdom female just smiled sincerely. "Oh, I'm so happy! Thank you, sweetie!"

"YEAH!" came cheering out from the other patrons in approval as the DJ restarted back up with the music, everything getting back into the groove of things.

As long as she had been alive, and for quite some time, Jargala kept dancing and drinking along, always finding happiness in the world wherever she went.

Always thankful to encounter good people, like the Water Tribe thief whom she always deemed a sweetheart.

"Yeah, LOVE TO PARTY! WOO!"

As the Monster Club Bar got back to being the happening place it was, a delivery truck was headed it's direction. One looking to belong to the First Snow Wood Meat Processing company, complete with it's moo-sow logo painted on the back cab's sides.

Parking right up next to the front door of the bar, the two delivery men got out and opened up the cab, having to unload what they had to drop off.

A quite huge wrapped up present, having to be careful considering what was inside.

All the while Korra herself, still abiding to the bar's rules and staying in costume, got back to drinking and talking to the lovely waitress, as well as a handsome male friend of hers wearing a green star being mask.

Sharing some fun tales of past adventures, the subject of a certain man of law enforcement came up.

"Well, this United Forces guy, Tenzin, chases me all over the place." she cheerfully described, patting the cute Fire Nation guy's shoulder while close to the Earth Kingdom waitress, liking her perfume. "You see, he can be quite stubborn, annoying, up my own..."

Trailing off, not wanting to curse in front of the horned bunny ear dame, Korra just pushed on ahead about Tenzin, giving a giggle.

"... but you know, even with being all obsessed with locking me up, he's NOT a bad guy. Even consider him a buddy."

The two potential partners for the night both laughed at her description, which looked to be promising for the great-granddaughter of the original Korra Nanouk.

"EXCUSE US!"

Hearing the two delivery men call out at the same time, the criminal-in-costume and everyone else in the bar looked to see them standing before the massive wrapped up gift they had placed onto the ground, with the words "FOR KORRA" written in large font on the wrapping paper.

"Looking for a Korra Nanouk The Third, we have a special delivery from an old friend!" they spoke out loud in unison.

This was plenty a surprise for Korra who simply waved them over, making sure yell loud enough over the music with a cheery tone

"OHH! Over here, boys! Come here!"

Happening to overhear that actually caught both Viper and Shin by surprise, enough to actually jump where they sat in their own disguises as they looked over in shock. "Ahh! It's Korra!" both blurted out, having not taken into account their target being in full costume.

About to respond and try snapping in action, both tripped and fell face first onto the floor, the fake sword Shin had as part of his Kuvira costume slipping out of his hand and clocking him on the back of the head.

Not that Ms. Nanouk looked to notice as she was too occupied with coming over to where her special delivery was with arms out wide, laughing to herself.

Once before it, all in the bar watched Korra start taking her mask off to get a better look, revealing her grinning face for all to see.

"Aww, so nice." she felt so faltered, wondering what kind of gift was inside, let alone who got it for her. "Hopefully it's a lovely present from my dear sweet Asami..."

Putting the mask back on, the legendary thief began to try untying the red bow...

"Wow, really tied this bow up good-"

... only for two dark orange sleeved hands to burst their way out from inside the box, HOLDING A REPEATER RIGHT UP TO KORRA'S OWN FACE TO HER AND EVERYONE'S SURPRISE!

Right as a familiar chuckle came from inside the fake gift.

"Heh heh! HOLD IT RIGHT THERE, KORRA!" The equally well-known Inspector Tenzin demanded of her, tearing his way through the false gift, still in his trench coat and fedora as he held his fated foe at repeater-point.

All while being rather pleased to see the otherwise wanted woman hold up her arms before him, even if in a silly costume.

"That's right, it's me, Inspector Tenzin of the United Forces, he of the stubborn, annoying, up my own-"

"OHHH, you heard that?" Korra couldn't help but feel a little embarrassed to ask. "Come on, Tenni, I was messing around, we're friends! Remember back in Zaofu-"

"It just so happens my hearing is 20-20!" The Inspector sniped back, making sure the younger woman didn't leave his sight as every patron and worker of the bar watched as Korra tried to get him to lower the firearm.

"I didn't know! I didn't know!"

Just as she touched the sides of the repeater, the trigger was accidentally pulled, FIRING RIGHT AT THE TOP OF HER GOAT GORILLA COSTUME!

This caught off guard not just Tenzin, but also the patrons who ducked down, all the while the big costume fell apart...

... only for all to see Korra completely unaffected or bothered while now clad in a random Fire Nation military uniform along with a random wolf head mask.

"Okay, little more trigger happy than normal..." she tried to joke along with who she saw as a friend, only for Tenzin to actually pull the trigger himself, firing another shot!

Once more, the round seemed to only hit part of the mask, causing the whole thing to just come apart once more.

This time, the bearded man saw Korra's form jump and flip over him, spinning around to see her behind him.

Only now, the thief revealed yet a THIRD costume she had on, that of the attire belonging to the main character from the "Girl from the Stars" picture comic and animated mover series, Rumiko.

"Woah, come on!" The Water Tribe female, now wearing a long wavy blue wig with fake red horns along with a tight purple and green spandex suit hugging her lean and toned form, couldn't help but feel concerned. "We really gotta discuss proper gun handling-"

For a third time, TENZIN FIRED ANOTHER SHOT, THIS TIME IN PURE ANNOYANCE!

Yet right as he fired, Korra Nanouk The Third just vanished in a puff of smoke to his sheer befuddlement as he looked around, repeater still in hand.

Yes, things tend to get wacky when dealing with the world famous criminal, but this was just straight up ridiculous!

"Where'd she go?!" he demanded to know, hoping someone in the bar knew...

... before, of all things, a hog-monkey toy with cymbals in both hands dropped down from the ceiling and landed square on top of Tenzin's head.

And that was BEFORE the toy began to start bopping its metal instruments all over the hat covered bald head of the inspector.

"Ah, oh! HEY! OW! Hey, what're you doing?" Tenzin cried out, trying to get the darn thing off as everyone in the bar began laughing at the funny sight. "Knock it off! Knock it off, now you're just being annoying!"

At that, the sound of an engine revving up brought his and the bar patron's over to the front door, where a grinning Korra Nanouk The Third was, now sitting on a souped-up looking red motorized scooter before it.

Now out of her many costumes, sticking with a more casual light blue jacket over a darker blue buttoned-up shirt, gray slacks and dark fancy shoes, the sly thief just grinned while on the vehicle ready to be rode.

"Tenni, you really make them cymbals work." She cheekily complimented in jest. "You and that hog-monkey really got a good look going on."

"Oh! Well hog-monkey see, HOG-MONKEY DO!" was the retort Tenzin shot back with.

One which all inside the establishment couldn't help groan at how corny it sounded as he realized how it sounded.

"OOHHHH..."

"YOU ALL COME UP WITH BETTER ONES!"

Alas, Korra only held her hand over her ear, playing around with who she saw as a friend. "What? Sorry, can't hear you over me escaping." she mockingly noted before deciding she had enough fun. "Well, bye-bye!"

And like that, the infamous Korra The Third was off on the motorized scooter, speeding away as an annoyed Tenzin sprinted after where she just was, pointing an angry finger forth where she rode off.

"KORRA! YOU GET BACK OVER HERE!" he screamed out before seeing something behind him.

A dark blue motorcycle, one with the keys still in the ignition.

THIS Tenzin liked to see as he rushed over to it and turned the ignition, revving it up. "Ohh, there we go..." he approved of taking the kickstand up and began to ride his eternal foe's direction.

Right as both Viper and Shin, still in their costumes, finally recovered and had sprinted out to follow on foot.

"Hold it, KORRA!" they both yelled out, seeing which was the Inspector was heading...

... only to stop dead in their tracks upon seeing what, or rather WHO, was standing silently before them.

"Huh?"

"What?"

In fact, it was the very same two women who they were disguised as, down to the same articles of clothing.

Clad in her kimono and andon hakama combo, her clan's tachi sword sheathed at her side as she peered towards with fern green eyes, was Kuvira Beifong.

And next to her, still rocking her dark red and black suit and tie attire, with her raven locks covering her gold eyes along with her special fedora was Azula Dezaki.

"Eh... Ehh..." came blabbering from the two foolish thugs who thought they could really get away with going around with the faces of the swordswoman and markswoman.

Seeing Shin tremble while reaching for his sword, along with Viper going for his revolver, neither were as fast as Kuvira.

All it took for her was a sprint and what seemed like two swings of Bak-Kim, her sword of platinum out from its sheath.

Stopping after running by the two morons, the calm Earth Kingdom female knew she stopped them in their tracks as she quietly put her sword back in its sheath...

... and right on cue once she did, every bit of the two criminals disguises finally came apart from where Kuvira cut them, even their masks.

Revealing to the two women the Water Tribe men who dared masquerade as them, having been given the heads up by Korra earlier before the whole scene with Tenzin.

Both Viper and Shin, the latter who too had a fancy beard like the former, but narrow eyes, only stood in complete shivering shock and in their underwear among the pile of sliced apart clothing. But no cuts or blood drawn.

Really, the only thing harmed was their collected dignity.

And their cheaply made weapon replicas that too finally fell apart, the metal clanging on the ground before them.

"Huh?" Shin squeaked out before he and a very vocal Viper decided to make a smart move for once in their lives as they all began running for dear life past a smirking Azula, all the way to wherever they crawled from.

"Screw this!"

"Run for your life!"

"They're the real deal!"

"They're so scary!"

This pleased the Fire nation woman to see as she took out the cigarette she had in her mouth out, taping some ashes onto the ground. "Heh. Never fuck with the originals." she smugly noted as her friend came to her side, more restrained with her eyes closed.

"Agreed."

Before she could say more, something got Azula's attention as she looked up into the sky.

"Humm?"

Doing the same and opening her eyes, Kuvira saw it for herself. "What the?"

In the night sky, even with all the bright lights of Republic City, both just witnessed what had to be a shooting star pass by.

That was quite the sight neither had ever seen before, Azula looking up in awe. "Shooting star. Make a wish, Kuvira."

"Something to cut that's not worthless." was Kuvira's simple answer, in turn getting a snigger from her ally.

All while both knew they wouldn't have to worry about Korra's present situation.

Elsewhere...

As she rode her scooter, Korra Nanouk The Third had not a single ounce of worry on her mind as she confidentially made her way towards the light ahead of her.

Already having Tenzin catch up to her on a motorcycle of his own, the thirty-something female decided to change things up for their current chase.

Hence why she made a hard turn on her left, off the street they were riding down and through the doors of a tall tower that doubled as a casino and hotel, complete with a massive animatronic face on the side of the building that served as its sign.

Before all who had witnessed the chase from the streets knew it, the large moving face of the hotel's owner, one Iknik Blackstone Varrick, looked to open up its mouth and stick its tongue out, its giant eyes blinking while neon lights shined brightly.

To which Korra came riding out of the open walkway through the now open mouth and onto the tongue, turning right before she could go off the edge...

... allowing her to use the curled metal tongue as a ramp, maneuvering herself up into the air and making her scooter fly back towards the rest of the huge animatronic face.

"Peek-a-boo!" She cheered out as she landed, with the ever-determined Tenzin following her exact lead, the both of them able to ride along the curved features of the large structure, as he kept making his demands.

"KORRA! GET BACK HERE!"

Even in moments such as this, all in Republic City witnessing this wild gravity defying chase, couldn't help but watch and cheer at the action.

As if they just didn't care how much both the thief and lawman were giving the proverbial middle finger to the laws of physics, this was just awe-inspiring to watch happen before them.

Along the ongoing chase on the massive mechanical structure that no doubt cost plenty of yuan just to get made in the first place, Korra rode up the sharp cheeks of the face and into a passageway up the nose.

All to let her slip back around the eyes, something which the persistent Tenzin did as soon as both got back onto the stretched out tongue before riding their way up to the right ear.

Or more specially, another passageway accessible through it.

It was curvy and wild, but Korra rode on through with ease.

For his part, it was starting to get just a WEE BIT too much for the inspector as he tried to keep control and stay on his motorcycle.

But as we all know, Tenzin Gyasto is kind of a stubborn man. And when it came to trying to capture the most infamous criminal alive, you best believe he was even more stubborn.

Seeing all the people on the streets watching the spectacle like they were at the arenas of old, watching fighters duke it out, and even making bets among each other, Cie had himself a good idea as he too was watching things.

So grabbing a big ol' stack of tickets, some blue and some orange, and making sure there was plenty of empty space in his apron's pockets, the bartender called out to all those listening.

"Listen up, people! On whom will the light spirit of victory smile upon in this epic moto-duel?" he yelled out, seeing plenty of people take notice. "The great thief Korra Nanouk The Third, or inspector Tenzin Gyatso of the United Forces? It's the start of the Roku Plaza great grand race! Betting odds are 100:1!

And as expected, plenty of people rushed to make their bets, handing over plenty of big yuan bills to him and grabbing the tickets of who they're betting for.

This pleased Cie to not end, especially with the amount of betters wanting in.

"Make that 1000:1! ALRIGHT!"

In the midst of things, just as he waited for the right moment when close enough, Tenzin threw a cuff right at Korra's wrist, and only the right one.

Feeling it go around her wrist, the Water Tribe woman wondered as she kept riding why he only aimed for one wrist and not two...

... before taking note of the rather long and flexible metal cable attached to the cuff, one that actually led all the way BACK to the lawman himself, having the cuff on the other end locked around his wrist!

That Korra had to admit was pretty clever as she led him back up into the giant mechanical face's mouth, with said mouth shutting close before the large eyes of it began blinking one by one.

Seeing as she rode along the inside structure of what looked like a bolt cutter, no doubt left due to the construction being done on this part of the floor they were on, the sly crook made sure to ride close enough to lean and grab it in hand with one hand.

Keeping it on her as she rode up a set of steps, still feeling Tenzin following behind, Korra braked just quick enough to snip the metal cord attaching them together apart with the cutter.

With that settled, the thief continued riding away, with the following cop realizing she broke free, fueling his want to arrest her more.

As the two got onto an unfinished portion of the floor, riding along the large steel beams, they were side by side, so close.

That was until Korra suddenly pumped the brakes to slow down, confusing Tenzin enough to look back.

"HEY! Why you slowing-"

He got his answer right as he suddenly felt himself collide chest first into a poking out beam that was in the way of where he was riding.

"UGH!"

Feeling the air knocked out of his lungs while feeling his arms hold him onto it, his motorcycle speeding on ahead without him, Tenzin didn't think it could get any worse.

"Pardon me!" he then heard Korra casually bring up as she rode by on her scooter, not stopping to help him.

Never mind, it got worse.

"Err..." came grunting out of the angry inspector who saw where his ride now crashed into, still in one piece.

This was all too delightful for the one and only Korra The Third as she laughed loudly while performing a wheelie, seeing the way back to the mouth of the large Varrick face ahead of her.

Making her way out of the massive animatronic's mouth as the tongue poked out, the thief made sure to turn and brake her scooter.

All to take in the massive crowd there to see her in action, to which she had to do a little showboating for her adoring audience.

"Thank you, thank you, oh, thank you! And another thank you!"

Before she knew it, the mouth's tongue was brought back in and the mouth was closed, for a short bit before the reverse happened.

Only now, Inspector Tenzin was where his foe was, just now insulted as he rode back here on his motorcycle for nothing as he held a pair of cuffs in hand.

"Where is she, LET ME AT HER!" he demanded to know of, feeling himself being brought back in.

To the still-increasing crowd's joy, the chase was back on between the two, both riding their way along the space where the light blue eyes of the massive Varrick were, even going along loops.

As a fancy looking white limo with some gold colored hood features slowly made its stop near the scene, the people's choice was about as clear as crystal.

"KORRA! KORRA! KORRA!"

Inside the vehicle, or more specially, inside the back of it, were two important men. Both dressed in their finest attires, considering their positions.

Clad in a dark blue, gray and black suited number, the brimmed hat he wore the same color, a young man in his late 20's looked out the window to see what all the ruckus was about.

The gentleman, having rather pale skin for a Water Tribe man, couldn't help but wonder as he moved a black bang from his eyesight.

This was Tahno Emiuk, leader of the Triple Threat Triads.

"Why is that long-armed bitch still alive?" he asked in a calm manner, almost as if he couldn't help but be curious. "Shouldn't she be long since dead, Zolt?"

The graying short haired man Tahno was asking, simply known as 'Lightning Bolt' Zolt Takahata, was one of the original Triple Threats, having founded the triad with his own late father.

The Fire Nation man sat calmly in his very dark purple and gold suit, taking a look for himself with his aged, but experienced eyes.

But the second-in-command didn't worry about who Tahno spoke of.

"Don't worry, Tah. I'll see to it she's taken care of before the morning, you know me."

"How so, may I ask?"

Giving it some quick thought as he bit off the end of the unlit cigar he had in hand, Zolt took out his nice lighter and flicked it open, lighting up a flame at the same time. "Up to you, would you rather I float or sink her in the Cranefish river?" he offered, bringing his oral fixation to his mouth to start smoking.

Thinking for himself, Tahno decided to perhaps go with a classy idea.

"Erm, float her. I think I'll drink a toast with my girlfriend as we look over the river." he shared, not seeing the slightly questioning glance he was getting from Zolt.

No doubt because of WHO the younger man's current love was.

But hey, his boss's love life wasn't the triad's problem.

"Ok, I'll float her right at noon." Zolt promised, inhaling some smoke before blowing it out his mouth as both kept watching the chase still in-progress as the younger man snapped his fingers, cuing the driver to resume driving.

With the crowd cheering on at the scene above, Cie kept taking in whatever money people were betting, knowing he was gonna make a killing off this.

"I've NEVER seen a longshot like this!"

Within the mass of people yelling and hollering as Korra kept her distance all over from Tenzin, a lone female managed to get herself a good spot to see the action.

A light skinned beauty whose looks stood out among everyone, with her long wavy raven locks, piercing light green eyes and apple red lips.

Clad in a pricey long sleeved white silk shirt she had unbuttoned down the middle enough to show some cleavage, a gold belt around her waist, a black mini-skirt, stockings and red high heels, she saw the Water Tribe gal who had caught her eyes plenty of times.

Having some tickets that she got yuan on, the woman called Asami Sato smirked as she reached into her white purse with her other one.

All to grab a special little spherical device she made up in hand.

Pressing a small button on it, Asami then threw it up as high as she could, knowing it should take a few more seconds...

... and right as she timed it, the device burst open with confetti popping out as a balloon suddenly inflated from it with helium, large enough to hold the extended banister which a sign rolled down from.

Hearing that for herself where she was, knowing she had some distance from her pursuer while on the left eye, Korra stopped her scooter to see what was floating.

As well as reading what was written on the banister.

"'I bet on Korra. If she loses, we're through!' Who the crap put that up?" she had to ask herself, not seeing a name.

Looking down, trying to peer her eyes, Korra had to tune out the voices of all those cheering loudly.

"Korra's got it in the bag!"

"Nobody's gonna bet on Tenzin!"

"You can say that again!"

"KORRA!"

THERE SHE WAS...

There Korra saw the beautiful woman; her sometimes lover, sometimes enemy, sometimes ally, sometimes ex.

"Hang in there! I'm waiting for you!" Asami called out, giving a sweet wink and blowing a kiss towards her.

Even from this high and the distance, Korra Nanouk The Third always could spot her favorite cat-burglar from anywhere.

Just the sight of her, in that mini-skirt nonetheless, got the lady thief blushing and giving a huge wave of her hand...

... not realizing that Asami herself was betting on Tenzin.

"Yo, 'sami-cakes! I'll be right over!" Korra gushed out, just hoping that perhaps the both of them could celebrate over a nice dinner under the stars.

Yet before she could think more, the thief felt metal hit and cuff around her neck!

"The fuck?!"

Seeing the metal line again, the master thief realized in her increasingly lustful thoughts, she got distracted and left herself open to a awaiting Tenzin, who kept his distance before the other eye.

Feeling him start trying to pull her closer, Korra tried to rev up her scooter and speed away...

... only to hear and feel it sputter in place, not moving.

"Heh? What the?!"

As she hurried to get the engines going, Tenzin didn't mind as he had something else in mind.

That something being a bundle of explosives he hooked onto the line, ready to light it up with some matches.

Of course, this wasn't going to kill or maim his target, but it'd be enough to knock the wind out of her. Just long enough to get her down and out enough to finally arrest her.

"This is gonna be a blast..." the ever focused inspector couldn't help but joke as he lit up the collected fuse before lifting his end up, causing the explosives to start sliding down towards Korra.

A frightening sight for the young woman herself who realized she wasn't going to get freed in time.

"No, NO! Gonna die, gonna die!" she kept crying out...

... before suddenly an idea came to mind.

"Oh, DUH!"

Getting a wily grin on her face, right as the explosives got close enough, Korra then stood up from her scooter, in turn raising her end of the metal line up!

Deciding to put gravity to work, the bundle ready to blow up stopped briefly before sliding backwards...

... right back towards a taken aback Tenzin. "Huh?" he uttered before realization kicked in hard, his gray blue eyes going wide at his explosives coming back.

"Oh, COME ON! NONONO!"

Right as they were close to being sent back to the sender, the massive animatronic Varrick face's eyelids went shut.

Before all watching knew it, the building itself began to rumble as an explosion was just heard being muffled as the large face looked to start experiencing technical issues.

Luckily, nothing broke apart or blew up to a large extent for those on the ground, including an awaiting Asami.

Finally after a few seconds, the mouth juttered open, no doubt in need of repairs as thick smoke poured out of the mouth with the tongue just holding on...

... as finally, all could see both Korra Nanouk The Third and Inspector Tenzin standing side-by-side, covered in soot with their clothes dirtied and messed up from the explosion both were near.

Obviously, both felt the force of the blast, yet were still standing with their eyes wide and teeth gritting.

"Well, I think we can both agree, as a shared experience, that sucked..." the young woman finally broke the ice, no doubt feeling some pain.

Though he'd be the first to admit she was right, the obsessive nature of the lawman kicked back in as he attempted to jump at her and tackle her to the ground.

Alas, Korra dodged out of the way and began running her way back inside the mouth and towards the passageway as Tenzin followed, letting his frustrations be vocal.

"HEY! Korra, hold it! Get back here!"

Even after not getting an exact winner yet, the crowd of citizens in Republic City laughed out at the humorous nature of the situation.

And Asami Sato, she just smirked to herself.

She knew that betting on Tenzin was a bad idea, but hey, she had yuan to waste.

Yuan that wasn't even hers to begin with anyway as she tore up her betting tickets and made her leave from the scene among the crowd of those still watching.

All as, having gotten the soot off in the middle of their chase, Korra and Tenzin continued their catowl and chickenmouse game all over the still working structure of the Varrick face.

"CAN'T CATCH ME!"

"I'LL GET YOU!"

"Have to do better than that!"

"Come on, now you're just being-" Tenzin cried out while going through one of the nostril passage ways before being just able to grab a dangling leg of Korra's as she tried to climb up the nose. "HEY! GOT YOU NOW!"

"Let go of me! AHH!"

In all fairness, the young Water Tribe could keep doing this all night, especially as both she and the older man found their respective two-wheeled vehicles and decided to resume the chase on it.

Yet Korra decided it was time to end things for now as she rode down one of the passageways, seeing the light ahead.

Knowing Tenzin was getting closer and having just now timed a certain thing, the thief pushed her scooter to go harder, riding ahead of him.

Leading her back out of the mouth and towards the tongue being held out as she pressed the brakes.

Stopping right before she could go off and into the air, Korra turned to see Tenzin finally come out, speeding ahead towards her...

... just as the tongue itself began to be brought back into the mouth, with her still on it.

Leaving the unsuspecting man to still drive forward himself right into the air!

"Wah, WAHHH! NO! AAAHHH!"

His screams echoing out loudly in the night, everyone all watched as Inspector Tenzin Gyasto kept flying away from the scene, no doubt making quite a large distance.

So far in fact, he and his bike somehow made a crash landing in the Bay near the docks!

And just unlikely, but it still happened after a few seconds, Tenzin managed to get back to the surface, completely drenched where he swam, furious at what he just endured.

Yet would this defeat stop him? Not in the slightest.

"DAMN YOU, KORRA!" he yelled out, not going down without a fight where he was.

"Next time we meet, for sure, I'LL CAPTURE YOU!"

Until then, whenever it'll ever happen, Korra Nanouk The Third who could only celebrate her victory as she once more looked out at her adoring crowd cheering her own.

"KORRA! KORRA! KORRA!"

"Oh, it was nothing, it was nothing!" she called out in her usual humble manner, not against the admiration either.

All the while one Jargala Omo watched from the crowd, looking up to see the lady thief with a silly smile on her face.

Even in her drunken stupor, the old woman just knew this thief was the one...

Notes:

AND THE FIRST ONE IS DONE! Quite the wild chapter, eh? All to re-introduce ourselves to our main five characters and some new ones. With Tenzin being a little more... headstrong in his obsession to capture Korra, blame the film there, though I do tone it down for the fic. XD Same with Korra busting out some rather random/unexpected tricks, the original film was... well, more cartoonish than others in tone at times. But among things, it seems our new characters all got special goals in mind, Tahno and Zolt having sent out some triad thugs to deal with Korra (and failing naturally thanks to Azula and Kuvira), along with a old woman... JARGALA OMO FROM THE TURF WARS COMICS?! Yep, she plays a big factor in the fanmake, if different appearance wise... there's a reason for that.

Also, of course Varrick (who doesn't physically appear in this) has his own casino with a giant animatronic face of his on the side of the building. XD

And here's our cast of characters and those from Avatar playing them in the chapter. (And I won't be listing off every character, try to find the fun cameos on your own!)

Arsène Lupin III- Korra
Fujiko Mine- Asami Sato
Dasuke Jigen- Azula
Goemon Ishikawa XIII- Kuvira
Inspector Koichi Zenigata- Tenzin
Rosetta- Jargala Omo (Weird to have her be a old woman since we all know how young she is canonically, but trust me, having her as a older version of herself will make sense in the long run. And maybe you might see a younger her, just roll with me. Plus, it's amusing to see her crushing on Korra... OH, slight spoiler.)
Marciano- Tahno (He makes sense as the young leader of the Triple Threat Triads here)
Kowalski- Zolt (Of course I have Zolt in the role, cause he's freaking awesome and underrated. Though he does have to deal with Tahno's BS... you'll see...)
Willy and Chin- Viper and Shin (Well, we are dealing with Triple Threat Triads, have to include them as some dumb lackey's trying to dress up like Azula and Kuvira. And yes, Viper saying "Me kill Korra" is a common thing in the fic, it is commented on. Again, wacky film)
Sam The Bartender- Cai (CABBAGE MAN APPEARANCE... who actually has a real first name, given via a kid's book of all things. I actually didn't know that until writing this. Funny.)

Until next chapter, where Korra starts to figure some things about not just who want her dead and why they're after the Sona treasure, but also who may have the hots for her...
