Notes:

Was listening to September when this idea hit me.

Work Text:

After a long mission, a longer debrief, and the longest Quarantine Leon's had to stay in for a while. He was excited to be finally be home. He pulled into his driveway and hop off his bike.

Leon took off his helmet and shook out his hair. He tucked the helmet under his arm and walked up to the front door. As he did so, he began to hear the faint sound of music coming through the door. I guess Chris is home, the agent thought.

When Leon opened the front door, he was able to hear what the song was clearly. September by earth wind and fire. “Chris? I'm home!” Leon closed the door behind him. But got no response.

Leon walked into the living room and froze at the sight in front of him. Chris Redfield was in the middle of the living room, dancing along to the music. In his arms was Leon's cat Wonton.

Wonton looked surprisingly relaxed with Chris spinning him around in his arms or lifting him into the air. Letting his legs dangle dangle in the air and pressing his paws against Chris face.

Leon leaned against the doorway, watching the view of the older man dancing with his cat. Wondering how long it would take for him to notice.

Once the music began to fade out, Chris finally noticed Leon. He froze, blush appearing on his cheeks rather quickly. “How long have you been standing there?” He asked, still holding the cat in his arms.

“Long enough to watch your dance. I didn't know you enjoyed dancing with Wonton.” He teased, walking up to his husband and kissing him on the cheek.

Chris was still blushing. Leon let out a chuckle and put his arms around Chris' hips. “Now, may I have this dance?”
