The mirror, Four finds, is not exactly mirroring his movements. He lifts a hand, and his reflection does the same a moment later, lazy and a bit less exact—and the reflection hesitates for just a moment when Four’s fingertips brush the surface.
“It’s a cursed mirror,” the shopkeeper says casually, dragging a box of arrows over for Wild and Warriors to inspect. “Shows you odd visions of things you dread, or sometimes things you want. I’m actually surprised it shows you at all.”
“I’m not,” Four replies.
His reflection smiles.
