Summary
The second-newest hero to join the group seemed a bit off to Wind. Well, not him, specifically. Hyrule - as he’d gone by due to a lack of any other Hero titles - had a ghost, and Wind thought they were odd.

They were ambushed near the top of the tallest goddess-damned cliff Twilight had ever seen in his life - by a lynel and a pack of gibdoes, of all things. He watched as his mentor was frozen by the magic of the gibdoes, watched him get hit, watched him fall a fatal distance. Twilight nearly collapsed with grief as he watched Time die.

Summary
The portal spat Legend out into a field of dead grass.
He recognised where he was, sort of. The sepia-toned landscape of Hyrule’s era was easily identifiable.
Legend realised that, despite being in the middle of the group when passing through the portal, no one stood in front of him. He spun around, praying he hadn’t been dumped alone in the most hostile time period, to see that he hadn’t been; Hyrule himself stumbled out of the portal, already very obviously sick from the swirling sensation the portals left them with. The portal closed up behind him.
It was just the two of them.
OR
Legend and Hyrule, separated from the others in Hyrule's era, are out of potions when they get ambushed. Hyrule takes a fatal blow.

Summary
At twelve years old, the Hero of Legend nearly dies inside the palace of the Four Sword. Worlds away, the Hero of Lorule is saved by the ghost of a shadow. Opposites and equals in every way, the two boys are haunted by the Hero of Light’s legacy.
Life goes on, through love and war and the machinations of gods.
Shadow never expected to wake up again after shattering the Dark Mirror. Without the Hero he was created to follow, what’s the point of him? It’s a brave new world, and Shadow has no choice but to change with it, blissfully unaware of the Four Sword resting just below his feet.
How do you react when faced with a past you long thought buried?

Summary
When nine heroes were brought together on an adventure, they'd thought that that was all that they were; nine heroes, nine brothers, nine Links, all called to save the world together, as a team.
When evidence starts to indicate that one of them is more than that though, each hero takes it upon himself to defend his new knowledge and the brother that it concerns, unbeknownst to the rest. After all, princes aren't taken well to in Hyrule, and trust each other though they might with their own lives, they're not yet ready to trust each other with someone else's, especially when that person is Hylia's own blood. -

Summary
What could the Hero of Legend endure at the end of the day? How long could his love for his brother hold true? Failure meant the death of his brothers, and Legend would not fail. The dark figure before him echoed another fear that festered in his mind.
“But what will be left of his precious hero when he arrives?”
Legend takes Hyrule's place in the clutches of the Cult of Ganon, but can he make it out? Will there be anything left of him if he does?

Legend finds himself set adrift - apart from his brothers, in a new place filled with foreign faces. He knows little, but enough to keep himself alive.
Warriors has been left bereft of two brothers. He has studied for years, trained for countless hours, and suffered for the experience he holds so dear. He has known enough to know when he is lacking, and he finds himself in troubled waters.
Time is constant - moving yet stagnant. There is much he has to answer for, but it will not be today, for all some may wish otherwise.
