Chapter Text

Himiko–AKA Himi Bakugo–is Katsuki’s younger and annoying sister. He’s only older by just ten months, and for a long time, people thought they were twins. Himiko used to tell everyone they were just to see her brother get mad. It always made her giggle, the way he’d tell her to ‘screw off’ whatever that even means–because Katsuki wasn’t allowed to say the ‘F’ word until he started at UA.

Regardless, he started saying fuck by the time he was thirteen, which wasn’t a good influence on Himiko, because then she started to as well. It also has to do with the fact that Mitsuki swore like a sailor throughout their entire childhood with no shame.

Himi always felt embarrassed about her quirk, how different it is from Katsuki’s, and it always made her feel disgusted deep down—her desire for blood and the way it tasted in her mouth. Mitsuki and Masaru tried their best to understand and not make her feel guilty about it, and they went to multiple doctors and quirk specialists to see how this even happened, how she developed a quirk ‘this’ dark, but no one could figure it out, and even though Mitsuki didn’t really know how to help Himiko emotionally, she tried her best, and the guilt of her quirk is ‘mostly’ washed away now.

When they both started at UA, Himi felt out of place, like she didn’t deserve to be surrounded by other future heroes. Her quirk was always referred to as a ‘villain’ quirk, and even when she was asked by classmates to explain how it works, she just felt out of place. Wrong. Her desire for blood increased, especially during training sessions when a classmate would get a cut or scratch, Himi could practically smell the blood–it made her feel so bad, the cravings. She tried to stop, tried to not have these disgusting feelings, but after the sports festival–it got really bad. (Which wasn’t that long ago if you think about it…) That was her last episode where she couldn’t stop drinking blood. She was walking to the store after the matches, her body worn down and tired from her fight against Kaminari, when she smelt it–fresh blood, right in front of her.

She bent down, looking at the dead animal in front of her. She tried to ignore it, clear that the animal had been run over just earlier. Himi started to walk away, pushing past it, convincing herself she’d find something yummy at the store, a red-bean bun or a jam filled danish (Which surprisingly helps suppress the need for blood, the thick and dark red consistency of the jam tricks her brain just enough.) but she couldn’t—she was tired, her body weak, aching for blood, so she turns around, making herself clear of her surroundings, then Himi bent down, biting into the animal.

She licked the body clean, her mouth and hands covered in the remains of the animal. Himi burst into tears, running home, not daring to enter the convenience store. She ran so fast her heart started to hurt from how fast it was beating. And when she got inside, Katsuki stood in the frame of the bathroom. He turned around, his eyes widening as he saw his little sister covered in blood. It wasn’t a new occurrence for Katsuki, and if anything he was more familiar with her relapse periods better than anyone.

”Himi? Holy shit. Animal or human?” Katsuki said, his heartbeat increasing. Himi continued to cry. She approached him, wiping her tears as they kept pouring out.

”Um…animal.” She pauses, Katsuki sighs in relief. He pats her head, handing her a black rag.

”I’ll find you some pajamas, twerp. Just wipe off the blood before hag sees. You’ll be fine,” he says, leaving the room, shuffling through his sister's closet to find a replacement for her clothes. She runs a bath, the water rinsing off the harsh blood stains on her skin. Then she flosses, getting all of the flesh out from her teeth. Katsuki left the clothes outside of the bathroom door, and she got dressed.

She laid on her bed, too ashamed to move. Her eyes were heavy from crying, and her whole body was sore from the previous sports festival fight. Kaminari sweeped her, and a part of her was incredibly ashamed. A part of Himi wanted to prove to her brother that she was a good fighter. That she could do well. And she did well, but not well enough for her liking. As she was having a thought spiral, Katsuki knocked at her bedroom door. Before she could reply, he pushed her door open, sitting on the edge of her bed.

”You never wait for me to tell you to come in… Himiko says, her voice soft. She continues staring at the ceiling. Katsuki doesn’t say anything. “Katsu?”

”The next time you’re craving like that, just ask for blood, idiot. You have a reputation to uphold. Especially at UA. don’t be reckless like that.” He sighs. Himi turns her head to look at him, sitting up a bit. She feels like she might cry. She bites the inside of her cheek to stop the crying.

”I hate my quirk, Katsu.” she started, and Himi’s tears started back up again. He looks at her, his eyes softening. Katsuki is tough– he is, really, and he was built to be strong and he was Izuku’s bully for all of his life, but he’s always had a soft spot for Himiko. He’d never admit it, truthfully, but it’s real. When he sees his sister covered in blood, clueless, crying, he just wants to protect her from the world. “Stupid villain quirk… I know momma and dad are probably ashamed. I just want to be normal, a normal teenage girl. I can’t. I crave frickin’ blood. It makes me feel so sad…”

”I think it’s cool. You’re like a vampire or some shit.” Katsuki mumbles. Himiko wipes her tears, laughing.

”A vampire? You're a dingus.” Himi smiles, pinching her brother. He groans. “Thanks Katsu. You make me feel normal.”

”Because you are, moron. You’re not your quirk. You’re just an annoying sister sometimes. And that bothers me more than the fucking blood, I promise.”

She's grown since then, and Katsuki lets her drink blood when the craving is really bad. Himi appreciates it, but she's bad with words, bad at expressing her gratuity, especially towards Katsuki. So she just buys him food or all-might merch (which he pretends to hate around his friends, but secretly has multiple shelves in his room dedicated to his collection.) It took awhile for Katsuki to get used to it, the feeling of his blood being drank, but he doesn’t mind anymore. The first time she drank some of his blood, he felt light headed (and ended up fainting for a few seconds), and her teeth left a scar in his arm. Himi didn’t hear the end of it for a long time. He still gets mad at her for it, but she laughs it off.

In the past, Katsuki would let her drink a sip or two when they were kids– but she got too embarrassed to ask throughout middle school, and when they started at UA, she just relied on animal blood Mitsuki would sometimes offer her. She didn’t want to be seen as Katsuki’s blood-drinking freak sister, so aside when she needed blood for her quirk, she didnt ask for it.

Class 1-A is aware of how her quirk works, and in all honesty, a few classmates were skeptical about Himiko. But she’s naturally more shy, (unless close with the person) and because of Katsuki’s very protective nature, they grew to accept her, even donating blood willingly so she could use transform to its full potential during legitimate fights and practices. In particular, two classmates help her out the most.

Izuku and Ochako.

Izuku was always kind towards Himiko, and Katsuki hated it for a long time. He’d get up in Izuku’s face and tell him to screw off or to leave Himi alone (even when they were just having normal conversations.) He was scared that Izuku would be weirded out by Himiko, but when they were all kids, Izuku was also friends with Himiko. Not as close, but before their quirks developed, he’d come over and play with Katsuki, and Himi would mess up Katsuki’s hair or pull harmless pranks to make her brother annoyed, but she never involved Izuku in any of them. She was always kind to him, and even thought he was cute before she realized she was a lesbian in middle school. She never admitted that to Katsuki, because she's known for a long time that he has… certain feelings towards Izuku.

It’s pretty obvious to Himi that Katsuki loves Izuku. When Izuku was quirkless, (so basically their whole lives) Katsuki would talk so much crap, run Izuku into the ground, tell him to jump off a roof, push him, taunt him, just… bully him. Himiko never understood it. She even wanted to apologize to Izuku for her brother's behavior, but she knew it would just upset Katsuki, so she didn’t get involved. It confused Himi, the permanent smile plastered on Izuku’s face, the way he followed ‘’kacchan’’ around like a lost puppy, no matter how much Katsuki screamed or physically hurt him.

Himiko realized that Katsuki liked the following. He liked that Izuku was always there. Always one step behind. Until he got into UA. then Katsuki was angry a lot, he was so resentful towards Izuku— he was confused about his quirk, how it worked, if he had been hiding it this entire time. He hated how close he was to All-might. He hated how everyone in Class 1-A loved him. He hated how good he looked in his hero costume and his uniform, and he still continued to hate the permanent smile on his face, Izuku's permanent resilience and laugh– it just bothered Katsuki that everyone in 1A loved him, because no one knew Deku like Katuski did.

Himi notices the panic that flows through her brother when Izuku legitimately gets hurt, and she sees the way his eyes light up when Izuku uses his quirk, the admiration in Katsuki’s stare— and he thinks he hides it well, but he doesn’t. Not at all.

After the attack on UA, following the sports festival, then Katsuki’s kidnapping– (which Himiko still has nightmares about) everyone moved into dorms at UA. It kind of made Himiko uncomfortable, being away from her parents, getting a brand new room to decorate. It was scary for her. But once they were settled in the dorms, and Himiko figured out how she wanted her room to look, and Katsuki settled in, she went into his dorm at night after a long day– and asked him about his crush.

Well, what Himi suspected was a crush.

She closed his door, and sat on the edge of his bed, waiting for him to be done playing video games. When he finally finished, he was clearly annoyed (he lost the game against Kirishima, and Kirishima was clearly rubbing it in his face.) then he told Kirishima to fuck off and hung up, flopping onto his bed pillow first, kind of ignoring Himi’s existence, before rolling over, staring up at the ceiling.

“What, weirdo.” He groans.

“You’re in love with him, arentcha, Katsu…” Himiko said. Katsuki sat straight up, giving Himiko the meanest stare imaginable. Then he clears his throat.

“Why would I like Kirishima, you damn idiot–”

“I meant Izuku, dummy.” she says, the words leave her mouth with ease but Katsuki just stares, his eyes widening. He looks angry. Himiko mentally prepares herself for the yelling session that's about to occur, and she hopes the UA dorms don’t have thin walls. “You can deny it but I see it. Ya know I know you better than anyone. You… love him. Don’t you?”

Katsuki goes quiet– a rare response to a claim that preposterous. “No. I don’t. You know how I feel about Deku, moron. I think he's a loser who doesn’t have control over his stupid quirk, and—” he cuts himself off any further, pausing, staring at Himi. “Get out, Himiko. Now I'm pissed.”

“Katsu, you can tell me,”

“Get the fuck out, Himiko!” He yells, his voice echo-y. She rolls her eyes and blows a raspberry at him, not taking offense to his harshness (because more than anyone, she's used to how mean he is.) She heads to the common room, sitting down at a couch next to Mina and Denki. They're scrolling on some social media app laughing at memes Himiko doesn’t understand.

“Heya, Himi!” Mina says, waving at her even though they’re directly next to each other. Himi smiles, waving back, and Denki attempts to dap Himiko up, (because he’s trying to teach her how) but kind of fails. Then Himiko tried again and she did it correctly, and both him and Mina cheered. “Is Bakugo okay? I heard him yell a little bit ago.” (even though Himiko and Katsuki have the same last name, everyone calls Katsuki Bakugo, and Himiko… Himiko. Or Himi. Rarely, Kiki. Himiko doesn’t know where Kiki came from.)

“Katsu is fine. He’s butthurt about losing to Kirishima in some game or whatever.” Himiko says, tucking her legs to her chest.

“I knew he still played Fortnite. He's such a liar.” Denki mumbles, causing Mina to giggle.

“Honestly, I wouldn't wanna play with you either Denki. You kinda suck. Even Ochako got more kills than you, and she hates gun games!” Mina laughs. The mention of Ochako causes Himiko's heart to flutter.

Ochako Uraraka was the first person in Class 1-A (besides Izuku) to treat Himiko somewhat normal. They talked about romance and boys and manga and whatever teenage girls talk about the first day of school. She introduced herself to Himiko, taking her hands in hers and smiling, and it made Himiko so happy— and ever since then, she's had these stupid heart flutters that happen whenever she's around her or Ochako is simply mentioned in conversation.

Out of everyone, she’s probably donated the most blood to help Himiko with her fights. Using Ochako’s blood and transforming during her practice training has helped her develop and match Ochako’s own fighting style. With each person she transforms into, she adjusts her fighting to however the other person fights– she mirrors them, and now, she's practically excellent at mirroring Ochako-Chan.

-*=*-

Soon, class 1-A had to get their provisional licenses. Himiko felt anxious– she didn’t know how well she’d do– especially on the Rescue Operation. She thought she’d do just fine on the Villain hunt, especially with all the effort she’s put into training. Himiko gained lots of muscle on her legs, even developing abs, and with long hours in the training arena, fighting against Katsuki, Ochako and Izuku, she feels a bit more confident in her abilities. Izuku gave her tips on how to develop her fighting style.

After practicing with Himiko, Izuku asked her if she’d like some advice. She nodded, sitting next to him in the common room after they both cleaned up and ate dinner. They sat beside each other, Izuku taking out his notes.

“So, You have the advantage of being quick and nimble. You’re extremely fast on your feet. Using that and not solely relying on your transformations will help you drastically. Your speed can help you outmaneuver opponents– especially during the villain hunt.” Izuku started. Himiko nodded. “Your other great strength is deceiving. I would focus on that as well. Make the villain think you’re one person, and then hit them with something completely unexpected. Don’t just mimic their appearance, but treat it like you’re an actress! Confuse and mislead the opponents. Put on a show, per say.”

Himiko nodded, smiling. Izuku’s face grew a light shade of red from embarrassment. “Ah– sorry Himiko— I didn’t mean to ramble too much, I mean, I hope that helps you at all, if not I have other notes we can go over! I think you’re a talented hero and I think—”

“Izuku, it’s okay.~” Himi laughs. “You really help me. Especially when we go against each other in the training arena. Thank you. Ochako-Chan is lucky.” She says. Izuku smiles.

“...Thanks, Himiko. Yeah. Ochakos so kind.” the tips of his ears grow a light shade of pink. Himiko leaves the common area, heading back to her dorm (which is next to Jirous). Before she could make it down the hallway, Katsuki grabs her wrist dragging her all the way to his dorm. He shuts the door behind him.

“What were you and Deku talking about?” He asks, his voice cold.

“None of your business. Nothing involving you, Katsu.” She says, pulling away from his grasp. “Don’t worry. I won't tell him your secret.” she teases– but Katsuki groans aggressively.

“It wouldn’t even matter. He’s with Ochako.” He says— Himiko furrows her eyebrows, a smirk appearing on her face. He looks at her with stern eyes. “What is your dumbass planning now?”

“Why don’t we break them up?”

“...What? Hell no. What are you smoking?” Katsuki replies. “What do you mean?”

“I like Ochako— you like Izuku, why don’t we figure out a way to get them to break up? Do you really think it’s that bad of an idea?”

“We couldn’t pull some shit like that off.” He says. “I don’t give a fuck. I have more important shit to focus on.”

“Night Katsu.” Is all Himiko replied with. She heads to her own dorm room, laying on her bed, trying to fall asleep— the exam starts tomorrow, and she can’t shake the feeling that she might fail.

During the first round of the exam, Class 1-A fought 1-B. She did well– at least Himiko did the best she could. She felt tired afterwards, anxiety filled her body— and she hoped she impressed her teacher and classmates. She just wanted to do good– to prove that she could do well.

She fought against Kosei Tsuburaba– which at first… sucked. She only had the blood of classmates from 1-A, and no one but her was around. She was cornered, and couldn’t use her transformation quirk. It would be useless.

“You think you can just hide behind the barrier forever?” Himiko snorts. Kosei activated his quirk, smirking.

“Why do I need to hide? You can’t land a hit if you try– and your quirk won't work.”

She was thinking– she needed to get close to him, but she couldn’t– not with the barrier. She runs away, making Kosei believe she’s retreating. Stupidly, he lowered his barrier. She closes the distance between them, running towards him, slashing him with her knife. Sorry. she thought. The blade only slashed him slightly, and he didn’t realize the small amount of blood that was lost immediately.

“You thought that would work?” Kosei laughs. Himiko starts to laugh as his blood rolls down her throat– in an instant, her body transformed into Kosei’s. Her knife is now hidden somewhere in his– well, her clothes. Kosei gulps. She walks towards him. He starts to back up but she just keeps getting closer.

“Well.. it did.” Kosei was frozen– and he shouldn’t be– but he is, and he can't stop thinking about how quickly Himiko was able to transform. His hesitation gives her a good chunk to strike. She disappears, just for a second, knocking him out. “I guess.. I’m just better.” She blows a raspberry, being quick on her feet.

The fight was a close call. She helped out other members of 1-A with their fights against 1-B, and after taking Izukus advice, she realizes how quick she is, and when transforming– she treats it like a performance, giving it her all, wanting the audience to fall for her act. It makes her happy, really, being able to use her quirk, fighting like this– the rush of power, the taste of blood… It's good. It’s so good.

The rescue mission she was most nervous for. She knows it’s fake— but it's supposed to feel real, be real, and Himiko isn’t good with affection— she doesn’t know how well she’ll do at saving others. But she wants her license. So she's determined. When she got to the fake scene, she knew the first thing she had to worry about was the lack of blood. She couldn’t transform into the ‘fake’ villains, at least not right now– so this was all Himiko– she had to rely on her personal speed and strength. So, You have the advantage of being quick and nimble. You’re extremely fast on your feet. Using that and not solely relying on your transformations will help you drastically.

She moves behind some rubble, spying on the villain. She notices that he’s distracted, his eyes fixated on the area in front of him. She sneaks up close behind, throwing rocks to his left so he’d be distracted. She pounces, taking a knee to the villain's legs, knocking him off balance immediately— she feels bad as he yelps, the pain of her hits a shock to the villain. She walks over to the civilian trapped underneath bigger rocks, and helps them out, leading them to safety.

“Thank you…” The woman said. Himiko looked at her, flashing her a wide grin.

“Yeah.”

She did well. Now was the villain test.

She was put on a team with Izuku and Katsuki, and she was facing Vlad King— quirk, bloodthirst.

Thankfully, she had plenty of Katsuki and Izuku’s blood.

Katsuki, Izuku and Himiko all split up to cover more ground. Vlad King is nowhere to be seen, driving Himiko to feel anxious again.

Into the little walkie-talkie, Izuku whispers. “We gotta be careful. Vlad is really good at strategizing– we need to face him together if we hope to win.”

“I’m feeling out the area right now. There's a narrow path over here, near a bunch of dark alleyways. I could transform here very easily while you guys kick his ass!” Himiko replies, a smirk plastered across her face.

“This is taking too damn long. I’ll just figure it out myself.” Katsuki says annoyingly– which then, Himiko sees Katsuki charge forward, using his explosions to blast holes in the walls, debris flying everywhere— it was silent… now it’s not. Himiko groans into her hands. Izuku feels frustrated– he doesn’t want Kacchan to be reckless. But he already is, and now Vlad might have an advantage.

Vlad appears from behind the debris, his blood coating a barrier around his body. He launches blood towards Katsuki, attempting to wrap tendrils around his body and pull him down. Katsuki cackles, activating his explosions to get himself out of reach– barely dodging it, but now he’s open again. Vlad forms his blood into a blade, structuring it to hit Katsuki. “I’m not a damn weakling, come at me!” Katsuki yells, his voice full of frustration.

Let's see how you like this, Vlad. Himiko giggled to herself as she darted forward, two blades in her hands. She lunges towards Vlad, trying to strike with one hidden blade– but he detects this, redirecting the barrier coating his body just in time to block her slash.

“You’re not quick enough.” He says. She retreats back to the darkness, blocking his blood attacks.

Izuku called for all of them to coordinate their attacks. Izuku used his quirk to overwhelm Vlad with his speed— while vlad was fixated on defending Izuku’s quick attacks, Himiko swiped in, grabbing a sharp piece of metal right beneath where Vlads feet just were– using it to strike at his tendrils. With that, Izuku lands a final blow– but one final explosion from Katsuki seals the attack.

Vlad king temporarily down, they officially captured him– officially restraining him. The villain hunt was over.

tch. I could’ve taken him down myself…” Katsuki huffs. Himiko just sticks her tongue out at him, pinching at his arms. He flinches away, annoyance clear on his face.

“You guys all performed well. Katsuki, your strength was impressive; but you need to work on precision. Izuku, your tactical thinking was well. You knew when to move and how to redirect your team. Himiko— your stealth is great, but you need to work on your timing.” Vlad says.

“Well duh. I know I was good…” Katsuki mumbles.

“Thank you so much, Vlad! It was definitely difficult, but with Kacchan– um, Bakugo, and Himi, it was pretty easy.” Izuku chirps. Himiko looked over at Katsuki, his cheeks a light pink.

“Ts’ fun. Thanks.~” Himi says, holding up a peace sign.

"All three of you showed what it means to be heroes. People civilians can rely on. For your passing grade—consider it official. You passed the Villain Hunt simulation.” Vlad said.

-*=*-

Himiko and Katsuki stand over the railing on the UA rooftop. Himi lets the wind mess with her hair, and Katsuki looks down over the railing. There's not a lot of moments of silence between the two– Himi saying something to clearly annoy Katsuki, or Katsuki being angry– there's always something, but they're both exhausted, their bodies drained from so much training and fighting. Himiko rests her arms over the railing, and her head falls into her arms, the sounds of nature consuming her ears.

“Himiko.” Katsuki says. She looks up, her eyes fixated on her brother. He looks over at her, hesitation between his lips. “Breaking them up… I don’t want Deku—Izuku-- to get hurt. Um. it has to be… painless. Or some shit.”

“I don’t want Ochako-chan to be hurt either… She's too cute for that.” She replies. “So… we’ll just make sure they get distant. So distant that they need to break up. You spend time training and fighting Izuku, and I take Ochako shopping and stuff, like dates that aren’t dates… training too, I guess.~”

“I– How…” Katsuki pauses out of frustration. “I can barely talk to the damn nerd, and you want me to train with him everyday? for hours?

“Yup.~ figure it out, Katsu.” Himiko says. “Can you make me the spicy curry you like? I’m so hungry.”

“Ugh.” He groans. “You better eat it all.” He replies. Himiko laughs, and drags Katsuki downstairs. When they make it to the kitchen, Himiko stops behind the wall. “What now? Let go–” Katsuki whispers, but quickly cuts himself off. Izuku and Ochako are in the kitchen, Ochakos lips pressed against his. He quickly pulls away, his face red.

“Oops, ugh– crap… I should’ve asked before doing that,” Ochako says, turning on the lights. Himiko and Katsuki stop peeking around the corner, still listening to the conversation.

“Nonoo– Uh, it’s okay Ochako— really um– I wanted to kiss you but I just– I’m not the best with that kind of stuff and—” Izuku keeps stuttering, messing up his words, and his face is still bright red. Ochako presses another kiss on his forehead before heading to her dorm room.

“Goodnight, Izuku.” She says.

“Goodnight, Ochako.” He replies, his hands pressed against his lips. Himiko looked over at Katsuki, his expression dull, before he furrowed his eyebrows and looked down at the floor. Himiko drags them out from behind the wall.

“Hi Izuku! Katsu is gonna make us curry, want some?” Her words caused Midoriya to jump. He turns around, his face no longer flushed.

“Oh! Hi guys! Um– no really I don’t want to bother and it’s late and I’m sure Kac– Bakugo— only has a certain amount of ingredients so–”

“I don’t. I’ll have a shit ton of leftovers. Just sit with us, dweeb.” he says. Izuku sits next to Himi on a barstool, and they start talking about their provisional exam. Katsuki listens to Izuku’s analysis of his sister's fighting style, and secretly wishes that Izuku analyzed him like that. He wished Izuku would talk about him with that much admiration and joy– it made him jealous, really, which was stupid because he knows Izuku has a girlfriend and always rambles about others like this. He’s even done it to Katsuki, but he pushed him away, telling him to shut up. Of course he regrets it, he regrets all of the bullying, Katsuki is just too embarrassed to say anything.

“Here…” Katsuki said, handing them both a bowl of curry. They eat in silence before Izuku’s eyes light up.

“The chili peppers mixed with the beef and vegetables is such a nice contrast, and it really goes well together! I really like how flavorful this is, I mean, it’s really good—” He cuts himself off, shoving the last few bites in his mouth. Then he coughs a little due to the spice.

“Yeah… it’s whatever.” Katsuki replies.

“He means thank you.” Himiko says. Katsuki groans, taking their empty bowls and beginning to wash them. Izuku stops him.

“Oh, I'll clean the dishes! Don’t worry about it.” He smiles.

“You don’t have to do everything. I made a damn mess, I’ll clean it.” Katsuki snaps. Izuku pushes him, just a little, and starts washing the dishes in the sink. Usually Katsuki would get angry, tell him to fuck off and let him deal with it– but he just sighed, sitting down next to Himi, watching as Izuku cleans off the plates and utensils, humming some random song to himself.

“I’m going to bed now, the exam was fun…Goodnight Izuku and Katsu!” Himiko said, as she was walking away Katsuki looked at her with wide eyes, because now it was him and Izuku alone in the kitchen with the majority of the lights off, and even if he won’t admit it— that makes Katsuki nervous. But she left anyway, going to the bathroom and brushing her teeth.

“Thanks.” Katsuki said. Izuku turned around, water dripping from his fingertips. “Are you deaf? I said thanks…”

“For?” Izuku tilts his head in confusion like a puppy.

“Cleaning. Idiot. What else for?”

“Yeah, right, um— no problem.” he smiles.

“Goodnight.” Katsuki said, getting down from the barstool. He starts walking towards the dorms before turning around. “Deku,”

“Yes?”

“Do you still take notes on everyone?” Katsuki asks. “In 1-A.”

“Oh, yeah. Why?” Izuku asks, putting the last plate away. “Did you want to see–”

“I was just wondering. Night.” Katsuki heads to the bathroom to brush his teeth, and then he goes back to his dorm room, laying on his bed like a starfish. He thinks… a lot. He thinks about his impulsiveness during the exam– how he could’ve navigated his quirk better. He thinks about Izuku’s quirk and how he still doesn’t understand exactly how it was passed down from him to All Might– and really it frustrates Katsuki. It frustrates Katsuki that Izuku chose Ochako, but it’s also foolish to hold resentment for that— why would Izuku ever like him that way? He could never be intimate with him— he could never kiss Katsuki. Why would he?

Katsuki can’t even hold one decent conversation between him and Izuku. And he’s supposed to ask him to train together. Pathetic, really. He thinks as he falls asleep– that maybe it would just be better to call operation: heartbreaker off.

Even if he wouldn’t admit it, Katsuki wants to be Izuku’s boyfriend.

Himiko lays in bed and can’t fall asleep. She feels jealous of Izuku. How Ochako pressed her lips against his so softly, she wants that to be her. She wants to hold her soft hands and share dessert with her and embrace her the way Izuku does. But a part of Himiko is terrified, because what if Ochako thinks she's weird? What if she changes her mind about Himiko? What if her fascination with blood secretly disgusts her? She's too shy to find out.

She really wants Ochako to be her girlfriend.
She wants to love Ochako.

Notes:

just wanted to say: when Himiko drinks Katsuki's blood, it is NOT to be interpreted as romantic. at all. it's just donating blood basically. plz dont think it's in a weird way i just wanted to clarify lolz ty
