Chapter Text
Vox wasn’t used to being bothered during his work – at least not from Velvette. When the doors of his underground office were kicked open, he let out a sigh, readying himself to tell Val he had no time for his bullshit, but the words froze in his throat when he saw Velvette flopping down into his other, empty chair.
”Velvette? Is everything okay?” He asked, stopping in what he was doing. Only Velvette was able to stop him in work without Vox being at least a bit bothered by it. The girl groaned and leant her head back.
”I have burnout, Vox,” she admits and at first, Vox didn’t even process her words.
”Excuse me?” He asked back, trying to understand what he heard.
”I said I have a fucking burnout, Vox!” Velvette yelled, now totally annoyed. As soon as the words registered in his mind, Vox jumped up from his seat with a loud, static noise coming from him.
”YOU SAID WHAT?” He asked, but didn’t even wait for the answer, but was out of the room in the blink of an eye. Velvette groaned, deciding that following him would be the best idea.
