Under the starry sky, Test tube and Fan were stargazing together. The moon was out, and there were no clouds, which made it even more perfect for a stargazing moment.
Test tube brought her telescope along with her to take a better look at the lovely stars. Fan was sitting down on the grass, right next to his partner as she admired the sky from afar. He was also staring up at the sky, thinking about something...
“Hey, take a look, Fan!” Test tube said to him. Fan’s attention immediately switched to Test tube. “What?”
“The constellations in the sky,” Test tube went back to looking into the telescope. “You can actually see the Big Dipper from here!”
“Wait—lemme see?” Fan stood up from the grass and stood by the telescope. Testy gave him some space so that he can see for himself. “Oh, wow, you can! That’s actually pretty neat, Testy.”
Test tube let out a goofy chuckle “Heh, yeah..”
Fan awkwardly stood by Test tube still. He fiddled with his jacket zipper before speaking out “W-wanna sit next to me? Y’know, on the grass?”
Test tube perked up at the question. She thought for a second, until slightly shrugging with a smile, “Sure, why not.” The two sat down on the ground together on the grass real close. A brief moment of silence passed the two objects as the sat down together, not even saying a word. Fan couldn’t help but move his hand closer to Test tubes, their fingers touching. “You look very pretty tonight,” Fan mumbled.
“Sorry?” Test tube turned around to face him, which kind of startled Fan and made him look more redder than himself. “O-OH-! Eh—what?? I didn’t say anything! D-Don’t..mind me.” He completely stumbled up his words. He stared down at the grass, too embarrassed to look at Test tube.
Testy just stared, looking a bit serious. “Fan, you know you can tell me anything that’s going on in your mind. It’s not like I’ll judge you for what you say.” she gave him a reassuring smile. Oh, that pretty smile... Fan’s heart rate was going quicker like a hare could run. His eyes were gazing into hers, and for some reason, he just couldn’t seem to reply. Heck, he can’t even stop staring at her beautiful eyes. He then became aware that he was staring so idly and he immediately snapped out of it. “Uh, sorry. I mean.. I’m just really distracted wit something I’ve been thinking about.”
“About what?” curiously asked the tube. Fan quickly thought to himself, trying to find the right words to say. Without thinking for another second, he blurted out “I want to have more than a friendship!” he quickly realized what he just said. Shoot. He glanced over at Test tube, wondering how she’d react to his confession. She was just staring, surprised at what he said. “You mean...like—“
“A couple.” Fan suddenly cut her off. “I want you to be my girlfriend, Test tube.”
Testy’s eyes shimmered under the moonlight. She chuckled a bit and leaned closer to Fan. “I was half expecting you to say that.” She gave him a light kiss on his cheek, leaving Fan stunned to his core. He placed his hand on his reddened face on the spot where she had kissed him and goofily started grinning to himself like a idiot. “So, it’s a yes?”
“What do you think?” Test tube replied. The two laughed together heartily and enjoyed their company for the rest of the night.
