Playful tunes came from The Last Drop, spreading through the streets letting everyone know that Vander and his loved ones are definitely having a great time. For passersby there wasn’t a specific occasion to celebrate, but for them, it indeed was. Felicia finally brought herself together and told Connol she’s pregnant. Vander and Silco knew before him, they were her best friends. It’s not like she was scared to tell Connol, she was more scared to actually admit it to herself that she will be having her first baby, little Violet. She was scared shitless, Vander knew how to make her feel better though, he decided to arrange a little get-together.
The Last Drop was something special for the three of them, living in the Undercity wasn’t easy, but surrounding themselves with loved ones made evenings like this feel like it’s the exact place where they belong, without having to change anything, the warmth of their love to each other was everything they ever needed and the hope for the future was bright, making their heart beat with excitement for tomorrow. Benzo came as well, talking with Vander so loud they could be heard at the second floor of the building, the happiest man - Connol could be found dancing with Felicia next to the jukebox. Silco grinned and observed the scene, sitting at the bar, a little bit in distance from Vander, who already had few drinks in him - Silco knew if he was too close, drunk Vander would uncontrollably throw his muscular arm around his shoulders or clap his back a little to hard. Silco fondly hated it. Then he glanced at beautiful Felicia, dancing, she had zero alcohol percentage in her of course, only orange juice. To make her not feel left out Vander promised to drink some drinks for her, which made him slip out of the barstool a little already.
“Didn’t you have enough, Big Man?” When the song ended, Felicia approached him from behind, without hiding the smile on her lips.
“Told you, dear! I drink for two!” he answered proudly, holding a glass in his hand with a little bit more booze left. She giggled before she answered.
“Well, I think you did an excellent job, I can almost feel the alcohol in my veins” her purple braid fell on Vander’s torso as she hugged him from behind “I think me and Connol will get going… must save the energy, you know how it is”
He smiled with understandment caressing her hand before she let go of the embrace.
“Well, I think I should be going as well” Benzo jumped in “have to finish some things up at the shop”
Two men walked the three of them to the bar exit. They said their goodbyes and split up, leaving two friends alone.
“You always had ridiculously low alcohol tolerance, are you aware of that?” Silco commented on the bigger man’s stumbling, making Vander let out a deep chuckle.
The music on the jukebox returned the first song on the vinyl “Our Love”. The dim light of the silent bar made the place even more cozy.
“Do I?” he smiled at him dumbfounded, with this fond look in his blue, sparkling eyes.
Silco knew it was over with the bigger man’s walking skills, he rolled his eyes as he put Vander’s arm around his shoulder and grabbed his waist, walking him off to the nearest couch. The weight of the man dragged him down, making them both sit. Silco glanced with curiosity at his friend, as his arm instead of removing itself from his shoulder, started caressing it. Then Vander’s hand wandered off to the back of his head, completely messing up Silco’s bun, letting his black hair fall on his shoulders. Before the smaller man could even react, Vander wrapped himself around him.
“Feeling tender, I see,” his voice was muffled against his friend’s clothes. Vander only hummed in response, now exploring the other man’s lower back with his palms big enough to easily touch every inch of man’s back and waist. Silco, fascinated with drunk friend’s actions, let him do what he wanted, checking how far it would go. However, his brilliant mind haven’t predicted Vander pushing himself away, just to shorten the distance between their lips. Silco quickly turned his face right, getting a smooch on the cheek, instead of the mouth.
“You’re pushing it, Bozo,” Silco muttered jokingly, putting his hands on the bigger man’s torso, not pushing him away. He still wondered what drunken mind would think of.
“Sorry,” Vander whispered to his ear. His speech was slurred, and his lips were curling up in a grin. Silco could feel the hotness of another man’s cheek against his cold and pale one, which was only getting a little bit of red colour. Unstable body now swinged to rest it’s chin on the smaller man’s shoulder, burying his face in black, tar hair. The breath on Silco’s neck making him shiver.
“You’re exquisitely intriguing”
”Yeah?”
”I have to find you a girlfriend, you touch-starved goof”
”Oh, but it’s so many sweats! Women are so complicated-”
”But they are very beautiful, aren’t they?”
”I already have a very pretty lady sitting right there” Vander teasingly played with another man’s hair, twirling black strands between his fingers.
”You will earn a knife in the stomach for all this sugarcoating, Vander” Silco grinned, letting the hair play slide, just this once.
They sat in silence for a while, then Silco felt the embrace tighten again a little more and before he blinked Vander repositioned himself on the couch, laying down, easily putting Silco on top of him making them both lay stacked up on the soft surface. He buried his hand his long hair, petting them, as he had a black cat laying on his stomach.
“I will tease you about it when you sober up, you know that?”
”Worth it,”
Silco finally gave in to the touch, burying his face in another man’s chest, hearing the heartbeat beat in a stable rhythm. Vander fell asleep practically in seconds, followed by Silco shortly after.
