BREAKING NEWS! Season two of Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint, live-action of the novel by Sing-Shong (@SingShong), has officially been confirmed!
After more than a year and half of zero news following the devastating season one finale: Disaster of Floods, ORV fans can finally sleep peacefully knowing that it’s in the making!
In an interview with co-stars Kim Dokja (@1trureader), as Kim Reader, and Yoo Joonghyuk, as Yoo Protagonist (@SK_YJH), the two men talk about their excitement over the season to come:

INTERVIEWER: So, let’s talk about season two. How’s that going?
KDJ, gasps, he’s grinning like an idiot: Oh my god!
YJH, shaking his head, a faint smile on his face: Don’t get him started on that, please.
KDJ: It’s been so cool being back on set with everyone. I feel like it’s been forever!
INTERVIEWER: Well, it has been almost two years…
KDJ: Sh*t– (YJH elbows him in the ribs) Oh! Sorry, am I not allowed to swear on here? (laughs)
INTERVIEWER: Don’t worry, we’ll censor it out.
KDJ, nodding: OK. Well, as I was saying— My god, I hadn’t realized how much time had passed since season one came out. (KDJ’s face scrunches up as if he’s thinking) …Has it really been that long?
YJH: Yes.
INTERVIEWER, laughs: A man of few words, aren’t you Yoo Joonghyuk-ssi?
YJH: Yes.
INTERVIEWER: Well, we’ll have to be wrapping this up soon so do you two have any parting words or any sneak peaks to tell the fans watching at home?
YJH and KDJ share a glance.
KDJ: I think fans are really going to enjoy this season, because we get to find out what’ll happen with Kim Reader after being… (he coughs, hiding a smile behind his fist) made into a donut by The Disaster of Floods, Shin Yuseong.
KDJ: I’ve read through the script a million times already, and… Well, I can’t say much, but buckle up. This is a crazy ride.
INTERVIEWER, smiling: Thank you both so much for you time today. (They shake both KDJ and YJH’s hands) It’s been awesome chatting with you guys, and I wish you the best of luck on set.

The livestream flickers on slowly— the screen is black for several seconds before a voice is heard through the microphone:
“Is it on?”
“I know what I’m doing, Kim Namwoon,” the familiar and grumbling voice of teen actress, Lee Jihye, rings through the room.
The camera finally flashes to life, being held up by what seems to be Kim Namwoon’s shaky hands. The lenses are turned toward him and the viewers can see his face. He rolls his eyes at Jihye, “Never said you didn’t.”
“Shut up,” she hisses behind the camera. Then— “Give me that.”
Lee Jihye grabs the camera harshly from Kim Namwoon, who lets out a half-hearted complain, and directs it towards her face. She’s scowling, but when the camera meets her eyes, she grins brightly. “Heeeey, chat! Surprise, surprise, it’s me!”
She walks forward and props the camera down on a cabinet so that the viewers watching can see the room they’re in. It looks to be a dressing room.
“And me,” Kim Namwoon walks into frame, glaring at the girl next to him.
She scoffs with an eye roll, “Yeah, he’s here too. Anyways! We’re on the set for the second season of ORV, and I got explicit confirmation from Uriel that I could do a little behind-the-scenes livestream!”
The chat goes crazy:

Lee Jihye laughs.
“You know,” Kim Namwoon shrugs. He steps back to give the camera a complete view of his outfit: his white hair is long enough to cover his eyes and he’s wearing a beige tunic with bandages on one arm. “Gotta wait to find out why I’m dressed like this.”
“You look stupid,” Lee Jihye teases.
“You look stupid!”
Before Lee Jihye could retort, a knock on the door resounds. “Come in,” Kim Namwoon calls.
The door open, and the chat goes ballistic when Kim Dokja walks in.

The man smiles and shakes his head, giving Lee Jihye and Kim Namwoon a knowing crinkle of his eyes. “Don’t worry, I understand.”
Kim Namwoon waves to the camera and wishes the chat a good day and follows Kim Dokja towards the set.
Lee Jihye sighs, “Idiot.”
