Summary
Buck brings Eddie joy, he guesses. His best friend, who’s been there for everything that’s happened in the past few years: every girlfriend and every consequent breakup, every single one of Christopher’s milestones, countless nights huddled on the couch sharing pizza and a beer. If Eddie’s being honest, Buck is the only thing keeping him sane while Christopher’s away. He’s a perfect distraction from the shitshow that is Eddie’s life, and Eddie doesn’t even feel bad for that.
But what about himself? When was the last time he actually felt like he was being honest with himself, instead of doing the things other people wanted him to do and being the things other people wanted him to be? When’s the last time Eddie’s felt okay in his own company?
