At an exclusive Manhattan gala, Rio Vidal, the confident and charismatic daughter of a wealthy businessman, finds herself drawn to Agatha Harkness, a renowned and enigmatic writer who has just been honored for her contributions to cultural movements. Despite their age difference and vastly different worlds, the two women strike up a conversation that quickly becomes an engaging and playful battle of wit and charm.
They lose track of time, the grand ballroom emptying around them, until Agatha announces it’s time to leave.
Disappointed but unwilling to press for more, Rio lets the moment slip away, uncertain if their encounter was just a fleeting spark or the beginning of something more.
