Work Text:
“All right, Isha!” Jinx declared. “It’s time you learned your letters. I even came up with a little song and flashcards!”
She picked up the first one, on which was scrawled an ‘A’ next to a house on fire.
“A is for Arson, which is a lot of fun! Doo doo doo dun dun dun!”
“What are you teaching our daughter?” Ekko asked, popping his head into the room.
“I’m being responsible! You interrupted my song.”
Isha nodded, pretending to glare at Ekko. Jinx showed Isha the second flash card, a picture of a chomper.
“B is for bomb! Be careful where you set those off,” she said, stopping the song. “I learned that the hard way! Ha ha. That’s not funny.
“C is for cake! It’s yummy, and...hey, this is boring. Let’s ditch this lesson and get some cake. Ekko!”
“Yeah, babe?”
“Me and Isha are getting some cake. Wanna join us?”
“Sure,” Ekko said.
He picked up Isha and put her on his shoulders. Jinx took his other hand, and they headed off to get some cake. Lessons could wait.
