“You know it’s funny,” Powder said. “I know practically everything about you, but I don’t know what your favorite color is.”
“That’s kinda embarrassing,” Ekko said. “We’ve been together for more than five years.”
“Hey, I don’t usually worry about little things like that,” Powder complained. “It’s not like you know my favorite color.”
“Bet you can’t guess mine,” Ekko said.
“Uh…green?” Powder said. “Or orange!”
“Nope,” Ekko said. “It’s blue.”
“Ha ha, Ekko,” Powder said. “Very funny. You’re really trying to butter me up today, aren’t you?”
“It’s true. Blue has been my favorite color since I met you.”
Powder turned her face away, suddenly feeling like crying.
“Hey,” Ekko said quickly. “I didn’t mean—“
“I really don’t deserve you.”
“I don’t think anyone deserves me, I’m pretty amazing.”
She laughed at that.
“It’s green. For me. It’s been green since before I met you.”
“Yeah? Then I’d say I chose the right colors.”
“Sounds like we both did.”
