Looking back, Lyn probably should have realized what was going on from Eliwood's continual offers to introduce her and Hector.
She had just assumed that he wanted to introduce her to his best friend. Which was probably still a factor, but not the reason for the sheer amount of times. Seriously, every single letter?
In her defense, Hector hadn't figured it out either, and he had actually seen Eliwood in person over the past year.
Eliwood also should have just said something to her. It's not like Hector was the only person in Lycia to favor a Wolf Beil axe in combat. And how was she supposed to know that he had a soulmark in the first place if no one brought it up?

“A vote.” Bucky’s voice was sour and quiet as he shoved off from the wall and walked over. “We’re a team. We act like one. So we’ll vote on it.”
