It was actually quite easy for him to move naturally around the other. Countless lifetimes spent together in so many ways made it second nature. Their dinner wasn’t in any danger just because Mianmian was being a menace. Sometimes the other misbehaved just to annoy Shen Wei, other times he knew it was deeper than that. Not a test but seeking reassurance. That Shen Wei was there. That he wasn’t going anywhere. Because deep down, Mianmian was still that little ghost king tugging on his brother’s robes with bloody hands.
