“Bobby would kill you if he knew you weren’t getting enough sleep, you know that?” Chimney said in that way Buck knew really meant that he was worried. He waved a tired hand to brush him off.
“I’m fine, Chim, just tired”
“Tired enough to fall asleep in the back of an ambulance?”
“I’ve fallen asleep in worse,” was Buck’s only tired response. If he was any more awake he might’ve realised that he did nothing to quell Chimney’s worry, and he definitely would’ve noticed the pointedly worried furrow to his eyebrows.
