Even after Jason’s death, he’s always with Percy. He is in the wind, the breeze that blows past him on an otherwise sunny day.
And Percy shivers, but not because he’s cold.
(No, never. Not when Jason was one of the few people who made him feel warm and welcome when he needed it most.)
Rather, he shivers in the same way people describe when a ghost walks straight through their body.
Percy shivers, but not in fear or cold. He shivers because he knows Jason is there with him, always and forever.
And he wouldn’t trade that feeling for the world.
(although, maybe he wouldn’t mind having Jason back.)
