The Destruction of Hero Society is a terrible name-Hawks

Summary:

"Indeed. We want your help catching them." All Might looked Hawks in the eye when he said that. The man just smirked and responded:

"My help you say, why is that?"

"We need someone who can move fast and can collect information for us. Can you do that?" All Might asked.

Hawks stayed silent for a couple of seconds. "Maybe. But what is it for me?"

Or Hawks was never picked up by the HPSC. He grows up to be a thief, who will do everything for the right price. When a new villain group rises after All Might's retirement, he manages to get himself involved with the Pro Heroes he looked up to as a child. How will Hawks handle this situation? And what is the deal with TDOHS and that terrible name?

Notes:

Hi!

This is my first fanfic, so please don't go too hard on me. I just kinda had this idea for a while and thought: "Why not?"

English isn't my first language, so sorry in advance for any spelling mistakes.

Have fun reading!

Chapter Text

Aizawa Shouta really wished he was somewhere else. Preferably his bed.

He hadn't slept in who knows how long, because villains never seem to take a goddamn break.

He was in a meeting room with a few top ten heroes. All Might was leading the meeting, his weak body did not hide his authoritive air coming from years of experience.

"We do not yet know a lot of information about this new group. What we do know is concerning to say the least."

Shouta looked around the room. To the right of All Might, Endeavor was paying attention to his copy of the file concerning this group, trying very hard not to look at the former Number One's face.

Besides him Best Jeanist and Edgeshot were focused on the meeting, every now and then they would share a look and seemed to be comparing thoughts. Mirko on the other side of the table was trying very hard not to fall asleep. She had never been one for strategy meetings like these.

Kamui Woods and Mt. Lady sat behind their teammate, Edgeshot, and were listening to All Might like he revealed the secrets of the world. Typical.

Shouta sighed and focused on the meeting. Sleep would have to come later.

"They call themselves The Destruction of Hero Society-" All Might was still talking, before he was interrupted.

"What a lame ass name"

Best Jeanist glared at Mirko for the interruption. The Rabbit Hero simply shrugged unapologeticly. All Might akwardly glanced at the two, before continuening.

"The leaders of the organisation seem to be three people with powerful quirks. To the contrary of many villains, they all seem to go by their real names, or well nicknames of them. However none of the members we have arrested have yet to give an other nickname than Mi-chan. That is the only name they seem to be willing to give away."

Shouta, who already knew this information, wondered what this meeting really was about. This information had been known for a while now. Normally this would be a job for Pro Heroes at a lower number. And why was he here?

Thankfully, even Best Jeanist was losing his patience and cut to the chase.

"All Might-san, do you have any new information for us? I'm sure everyone had read the report."

He briefly glanced at Mirko. She scowled at him.

"Of course I read it! Why are we discussing this group anyway?"

"Because they have kidnapped five children in the last month."

The was not a single sound left in the meeting room. Kamui Woods, who had been drinking when the retired hero had revealed that information, choked. Mt. Lady patted him on his back with a grim expression.

Shouta was shocked from his slumber and was paying rapt attention.

Even Endeavor looked up from his papers.

"Tsujimura Motoki, Kishi Shirai, Anzai Akiko, Igarashi Mineko and Okita Chika. All seven year olds with strong and different quirks. All were taken from their home in the last month."

"In the same area?" Endeavor questioned.

"No, all over Japan."

Fuck. Unknown range then. That is always annoying.

"What do they want?"

This was the first time Shouta had spoken through the entire meating.

"We don't know." Came All Mights helpful answer.

"Survelliance cameras?" Did Edgeshot want to know.

"It lookes like the children walked away themselves, before being taken in an unkown black van."

Well that is pretty much useless, Shouta thought, controlling quirks are becoming more common this day.

"Okay, so what is the plan?" Asked Mirko. She was frowning and seemed to be thinking.

"Have any of you ever heard of Hawks?"

Shouta had. He had never met the guy, but as a underground hero he came across this name more than once.

Hawks: a villain, a vigilante, a thief, but above all: someone who did everything for the right price and was also capable of doing it.

His real identity was unkown, though it is known that he resides in Fukuoka. He would have wings like an angel, like a demon or something between that. They would be covered under the blood of his victims, victims he would create just for some money.

He also should be pretty young, early twenties somewhere. He was, according to the rumors, a very handsome young man who was very charming. He would smile at you while stealing your wallet. A real menace to society.

While some heroes tried to catch them, they were never successful. He wasn't interesting enough for stronger heroes to catch him, which is probably the reason he was still free.

Shouta saw where All Might was going and was way too tired for it.

"You want to get him on the job, All Might?"

All Might at least had the decency to look ashamed.

"According to my information, he would be someone who can travel long distances and collect information at the same time. We need someone like that for this."

Endeavor, never having been one known for his patience with villains, immediatly refused.

"Absolutely not."

Mirko agreee wirh him loudly. She also hated the idea of working with someone like Hawks.

Best Jeanist, on the other hand, seem to consider it.

"Would he do it?"

All Might looked relieved someone was considering it.

"He would do anything for the right price, if my information is correct."

Endeavor didn't want to hear it.

"Don't we have heroes who are fast? Why should we use someone we don't even know?"

"Because children's life are at stake." Shouta answered dryly.

This got the Number One Hero and all the other protests quiet.

"How are we going to do this?" Askes Edgeshot. He seem to be hesistant about the whole situation, but in the end found the risks worth it.

All Might, of course, already had an answer for that.

"It looks like Hawks goes to the same bar every friday. The Silent Night, it's called."

Mirko openee her mouth, probably to say something about finding the name cheasy, but then remebered the situation and changed her words.

"So what, we just show up with some guys and demand he joins us?"

All might stayed silent.

That's a yes thenShouta sighed for what felt like the hunderd time that day.

Hawks really was young.

He couldn't be any older than twenty-three and even that seemed much for the handsome young man at the bar across of Shouta.

Hawks was wearing a black shirt and blue jeans. He had short blond hair and a stubble. On his shirt it said: I ♡ coffee, though that was definitely not the most interesting part about the man.

It were the giant red wings on his back. They were stunning, their colour a beautiful blood red. They seemed incredibly sharp, but yet at the same time so soft.

You don't see wings like that often. Shouta thought to himself. Wings were a rare thing in their world on their own. Wings that big? There were very rare.

Shouta sat across Best Jeanist and Edgeshot at a table in the corner of the bar. There was a screen before the table that would make sure Hawks couldn't see them, no matter how he turned on his stool. Best Jeanist had a coke, even though he wasn't drinking from it(how does he drink with those clothed?).

Edgeshot had a limonade and Shouta a coffee. At another table closer to the bar, were All Might, Mirko and Endeavor sitting. All three were drinking non-alcoholic drinks. They were on the clock after all, even if they were all in civilian wear.

This is such an overkill. They were here with four top ten Pro Heroes. Just two would have done the job. Mirko had protested when All Might told the details of his plan. All Might had argued that Hawks was slippery and would be gone before they could even say a word. They were just catious, he had explained.

("Okay, but why do have to come with you?" Shouta had asked during the meating.

"We don't want him to fly away or attack us, so you're just there as insurance, Aizawa." )

Except for the bartender, Hawks and the disguised Pro Heroes, the bar was deserted. Hawks was nursing a glass of coke for a while now. He was quiet, something that made Shouta nervous for a reason he wasn't sure of.

"All right, how long are we gonna sit here in silence? I'm getting tired of it."

Shouta was one of the few Pro Heroes that didn't flinch when Hawks suddenly spoke. The bartender, sensing the atmosphere, quickly went to the back of the building.

All Might stood up and started walking to the bar. They had decided that All Might would do the talking. He was, after all, still impressive even without a quirk. His reputation would do enough for most villains.

Hawks wasn't like most villains.

He looked the former Number One Pro Hero dead in the eye and smiled. The kind of smile people would show on TV. It was clearly fake and he wasn't even trying to hide it.

"I've gotta say, All Might-san, I'm not sure what I did to warrant six Pro Heroes on my back. I'm defintely not a saint, but I'm not that bad." Hawks laughed and bowed to All Might.

Did he just say six?

Hawks turned to the table where Shouta and the other two heroes were sitting. Edgeshot and Best Jeanist shared a look, stood up and walked to the young man. Shouta followed close behind them.

"Number Two Best Jeanist-san and Number Three Edgeshot-san. And of course Eraserhead-san. To what do I own the pleasure? You two can come to Mirko-san and Endeavor-san." He said with a smirk.

And with those words everyone stood by the bar. Mirko looked pissed off, but stayed silent. She normally didn't do team-ups and was making an exception for this. She probably had a lot of trouble trying not to just beat Hawks into submission and be done with it.

Endeavor didn't look much better. Hawks spend a few seconds fixating on the Number One before looking at something else. Odd.

"Hawks-kun, right?" All Might looked at the villain.

"That's right! Now what do you guys want?" Hawks smiled again. He seemed to be unconcerned with the fact that he was in a room with multiple high-ranking Pro Heroes and that he was, you know, a well-known villain.

"We are not here to arrest you.'"

"Well, that's a relief!" He faked wiping sweat from his forehead. Shouta clenched his jaw and he saw that he was not the only one.

"Have you heard about TDOHS?" Hawks seemed to think about All Mights guestion and the shrugged.

"I think so. Aren't they some knew villain group or something?"

"Damnit! There are lives at stake of innocent children, Hawks! Do you want their blood on your hands?" Endeavor snapped. He had been growing more frustrated by every second and had finally snapped.

Hawks got a more serious look. So the guy had at least some morals.

"Of course not. But morals won't pay my bills."

Shouta sighed. Hawks was known for doing eveything for money. This was not a very surprising response of the man.

"Fine. We will get your money." All Might gave in without protest. They had prepared for this scenario beforehand and had set aside some money to pay Hawks.

"Great. Anything else I should know right now?" Hawks asked.

"It's in Tokyo."

Hawks was quiet for a moment. "You will cover for me an apartment and food there then."

Mirko scowled. "Really?"

"Hey! Not everyone can pay for twenty apartments!" He yelled in his defense.

"We will have your contract ready by tomorrow." All Might informed him.

"You can bring it here at two PM. Only one of you can come though." Hawks said looking around. He looked everyone one for one in the eye.

When Shouta's turn came, he didn't flinch. Hawks's eyes were a lot of thing but definitely not human. That must be because of his mutant quirk.

They were yellow and very sharp. Despite his cocky attitude, he seemed intelligent.

Dangerous.

"Why don't you come, Best Jeanist? It'll be fun!" Hawks had choosen his victim. Best Jeanist was resinged and simply asked:

"You will be here?"

"I'll be here. Scout's honour!" Hawks mock saluted.

Shouta pitied Best Jeanist, but he was gkad he could sleep in tomorrow. Wait, how long was he going to be involved in this?

Fuck. I am never going to sleep at this rate.

Tsunagu walked into the bar with the knowledge he would walk out confused and pissed of.

Tsunagu wasn't sure why Hawks had chosen him to meet him, but he knew it could't be anything good. He had barely talked to the man, but he had his own observations.

Hawks was cocky, annoying and had an air around him like he knew everything about you. It was infuriating

However this was, Tsunagu theorized, exactly what Hawks wanted. He was catious and calculated. How else could he have stayed hidden for this long? He somehow knew he, Eraserhead and Kamihara were hiding and was not impressed by the Top Ten Pro Heroes that were capable of arresting him.

It probably has to do with his quirk. Tsunagu mused while he sat down at a table. Hawks wasn't here yet. Someone was only that confidant if they knew they could win or escape. The latter was more likely as Hawks wouldn't win against Endeavor for example.

His quirk obviously had to do with his wings. He could fly with them, couldn't he? Tsunagu remebered that from a report he read.

Hawks walked into the bar with a smile on his face. He immediatly found the Pro Hero and went to sit with him.

"Good afternoon, Best Jeanist-san! Nice day, isn't it?" Hawks grinned at him.

"I suppose." Tsunagu responded cautiously. He gave the papers he had brought to the criminal.

Hawks took his time reading the documents. He seemed to search for loop holes. When he reached the pay he would get he whistled impressed.

"Damn Heroes earn a lot. Not that I'm complaining."

They had spend some time on that. In the end All Might had decided to give enough, but not too much. They had tried to reach a balance and agreement.

Hawks had finally finished reading. He looked happy with the contract.

"Where do I sign?" He had a pen in his hand that seemed to have appeared out of thin air.

Tsunagu pointed at some blank spots on the paper. Hawks signed the places properly. Tsunagu looked at the autograph. It just said Hawks. He wasn't willing to reveal his name then.

Hawks handed the pages back.

"Is that it?"

"Yes. Now, we need you to come to Tokyo tomorrow at eleven AM. If you give me your number I can sent you the information." Tsunagu unlocked his phone and set a blank contact.

"My number already? We just met, Best Jeanist-san!" He laughed and typed his number on Tsunagu's phone. He already felt a headache come after spending five minutes with him.

"Can we expect you tomorrow?" Tsunagu ignored the provoking comment.

"Yeah, yeah of course. This is way too pass up. One question though, what does TDOHS stand for? I'm curious."

"The Destruction of Hero Society." Tsunagu found the name tasteless. It was very cheesy.

Hawks seemed to agree, going by how much he was laughing.

"Pff—for real? That's so lame! So stupid! How did anyone come up with that?" He kept lauging for another few minutes. Tsunagu was getting increasively annoyed.

"Any other questions, Hawks-kun?" Hawks shook his head, still grinning.

"Good. I have some for you to better establish the contract." The Hero picked up his bag and took a few papers.

"Do you mind telling the name of your quirk, your age and a discription of your quirk?" Tsunagu now had a pen in his hand and looked at Hawks. The man looked not surprised by these questions and just smiled at him.

"Sure. My quirk is Fierce Wings and I'm twenty-two! I can of course fly and use my feathers how I wish." Tsuangu frowned. He was younger than he had thought.

"Can you expand on that last bit?"

"Nope." Hawks was still smiling. Tsunagu sighed. This was getting nowhere.

"Fine. How far can you fly and for how long does that take?" Tsunagu was very interested in that. It was one of the main reasons the Pro Heroes had established this contract.

"About sixty-four kilometres per hour. I can get pretty far if I can rest every now and then."

Tsunagu raised his eyebrows. That was impressive. It was almost like Hawks was an actual hawk.

"I see. That should be all then. I'll see you tomorrow, Hawks-kun." Tsunage packed up his things and stood. Hawks remained on his chair.

"Till tomorrow, Number Two."

Tsunagu had no idea how he was going to survive working with this guy.
