Chapter 1: Missing Decorations
Summary:
The engines and their friends are hard at work to get everything ready for the holiday season on the Island of Sodor. They even invite a lot of friends around the world to come to the party at Knapford Station. With excitement, they all worked very hard to be at Knapford on time before the party begins. But when Thomas and his allies go to Brendam Docks to collect more decorations, they would soon realize that there was something wrong. What could it be?
Notes:
This is where our story begins with our favorite engines and their friends (which are our favorite characters from a lot of different media) getting ready for the holidays. However, there will be a big mystery happening that will put the party on hold. If you want to find out, you have to read the story to see what it is. I don't own any of the characters here. They belong to their rightful owners. With that being said, please enjoy!

Chapter Text
Location: The Island of Sodor
It's winter holiday time on the Island of Sodor. All of the engines and their special friends were working very hard to get ready for the celebration. Thomas, Percy, Dorothy, Toto, Dora, Boots, Lincoln, McGee, Gretchen, and Squirt were working very hard clearing the snow off the tracks. While Thomas didn't like wearing his snowplow, Dorothy always reminded him to be a really useful engine even if it involves something you don't really like. Edward, James, Henry, Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Spike, and Lynn Loud Jr. collected trucks of decorations for the Steamworks, Knapford Station, Misty Island, and the Skarloey Railway to be decorated with lots of lights, baubles, and presents. Gordon, Rebecca, Lori Loud, and Rainbow Dash pulled the Express of visitors coming over to the island to celebrate the holidays. Henry, Yakko, Wakko, and Dot collected a long goods train filled with coal for the stations to be nice and warm for the holiday season. Toby, Nia, Wubbzy, Widget, Walden, Daizy, Blossom, Buttercup, and Bubbles carried passengers from the stations to take them to Knapford Station so that they can join in the holiday celebration. And Emily, Super Why, Alpha Pig, Wonder Red, Princess Presto, and Woofster collected the Star of Knapford from Brendam Docks to be held up at the top of the station. Everyone was very excited. They even invited a few of their friends from all around the world to come for the celebration.
Thomas invited Lily Stone and her family to come to the party at Knapford. Lily was very excited to see Thomas again after their last adventure they had together. Dorothy and her friends decided to invite Wilhelmina Witch, Frank, and Lyman to the party. Even though the three of them worked with the Wicked Witch of the West, they could be good on some occasions. And at this point, Dorothy wanted to give them a chance to celebrate Christmas together. Even Wilhelmina, Frank, and Lyman agreed to be good during the holidays this year, since it was Christmas and they did not want to end up on the naughty list like last year. Dora, Boots, Isa, Benny, Tico, Swiper, Diego, and Baby Jaguar invited, Kai-Lan and her friends and grandfather, Blue and her friends, Team Umizoomi, and the Bubble Guppies to the party. They couldn't back down on a deal like that and were happy to come to Sodor for the party. Timmy Turner, Cosmo, and Wanda invited Jimmy Neutron and his friends to come to the Island of Sodor to celebrate Christmas. It had been a long time since Jimmy had an adventure with Timmy, and he couldn't wait to be with him again. McGee, Gretchen and Squirt decided to invite Jordan Buttsquat and Suzi to the party. While Buttsquat was a bit skeptical about the invitation, Suzi decided to go for a chance, since she did not want to be an Ice Queen again, thus having Buttsquat reluctantly join her. Jake, Izzy, Cubby, and Skully invited Doc McStuffins and her doll friends, Vampirina, Poppy, Bridget, Princess Sofia and her family, and the PJ Masks to the party. All of them couldn't wait to meet up with their friends again, including the Little Einsteins. Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, Rabbit, Eeyore, Roo, and Lumpy invited Christopher Robin, Darby, Buster, Kanga, and Owl to the Christmas party. They wanted to meet up with their friends again and have a great time together with them, to which they all agreed on. Others have invited more friends over to join the party and they couldn't wait to have them come over to Knapford Station.
Location: The Steamworks
At the Steamworks, the place was bustling with activity. Sparks flew, machines clanked, and engines came over to get themselves polished and fixed to be ready for the holiday season. The place was also filled with lots of decorations. Victor, Kevin, Wenda, Wu, and Wesley were also very excited for the holidays as well. Just then, Thomas chuffed up with Dorothy, Toto, Dora, and Boots. Thomas had his whistle blocked up with snow after he finished helping Percy and the others clear away all of the snow. He and his friends looked around to see the Steamworks decorated, and they were amazed.
"Bust my buffers!" gasped Thomas. "Look at how the Steamworks looks!"
"It looks wonderful!" said Dorothy and Toto barked in agreement.
"Sí, it does," agreed Dora.
"Yeah!" added Boots. Thomas wanted to whistle cheerfully, but he knew that he couldn't with the snow blocking it. He remembered how bad he was when he didn't wait for his whistle to be fixed one time and it caused a lot of confusion and delay due to the sound of the wonky whistle. Dorothy always reminded him to not let that happen again so that he wouldn't have anymore problems. Just then, Victor, Wenda, Wu, and Wes came by to see their friends.
"Hello again, Thomas. What brings you here to the Steamworks today?" said Victor.
"My whistle is blocked up with snow, and I have to get it cleaned," said Thomas. "Also, I have to admit, you guys did a really good job preparing all the decorations for the holidays."
"Thank you, Thomas! We all worked together to get this ready," said Wenda. "Right, boys?"
"Right!" Wu and Wes replied.
"We're glad to see that you're all working together to get ready for Chistmas," said Dorothy. "I can't wait for the party to begin soon at Knapford Station!"
"Me neither!" said Boots. "We're inviting a lot of friends for the party!"
"You are?!" gasped Wu.
"Sí," said Dora. "Me, Boots, and our friends are inviting Kai-Lan, her friends and grandfather, Blue and her friends, Team Umizoomi, and the Bubble Guppies to the party!"
"I remember when Kai-Lan sometimes helps out Thomas whenever I'm busy around at Oz," said Dorothy. "Thomas told me all about it. I'm sure she'll be glad to meet me." Toto barked in agreement, and he couldn't wait to meet Blue and her friends.
"And I'm inviting Lily and her family to the party as well," said Thomas. "She's even bringing over Mr. Conductor, Junior, Patch, and Mutt along with her."
"Sounds like there are a lot of people coming over for the holidays," said Wesley. "Ooohhh! This gets me so excited!"
"You're not the only one excited, Wes," said Wenda. "I'm sure that EVERYONE will enjoy the holidays! I can't wait to go to Knapford and enjoy the party! If that's alright with you, Victor."
"Of course we can go there," said Victor. "But we need to fix Thomas' whistle first. Kevin, bring over the parts to clear the snow off of Thomas' whistle." Just then, Kevin trundled up while carrying the tools that were needed to clear Thomas' whistle with.
"Yes, boss, coming right up!" he called. But once he stopped, the parts suddenly slipped off and landed on the floor with a loud noise. The workmen quickly ran over to collect the tools quickly.
"Really, Kevin? Again?" Wenda sighed.
"Sorry, boss, it was a slip of the hook!" Kevin laughed nervously to Victor.
"Yes, of course..." sighed Victor. Once Thomas puffed on the turntable, he waited patiently for the workmen to clean the snow off of his whistle. Even though he was excited for the party, he still learned his lesson not to rush. After a few minutes, Thomas' whistle was nice and clean, with no snow blocking it.
"There! Your whistle is all clean, Thomas!" said Wu. "You're all set and ready to go!"
"Thanks, you guys!" Thomas puffed before cheerfully blowing a "Peep! Peep!" of his whistle. But before he and his friends were about to leave, Sir Topham Hatt arrived with Rita Loud and Lynn Loud Sr. They had something important to tell to Thomas and their friends.
"The Christmas party at Knapford Station needs more decorations," boomed Sir Topham Hatt. "Thomas, you and your friends must go to Brendam Docks to collect the decorations in more trucks."
"Salty, Porter, Jake, Izzy, Cubby, and Skully will be there to help you with the train, because it's very heavy for only one engine to pull," said Rita.
"And make sure you go slowly and carefully," added Lynn Loud Sr. "We don't want the decorations to accidentally get dropped."
"Yes, sirs and ma'am!" said Thomas.
"We'll be back with the decorations in no time, right, guys?" said Dorothy.
"Yeah!" agreed Boots.
"We can do it!" said Dora. "Sí, se puede!"
"And we'll go with you for some extra help!" said Wenda.
"The more the 'merry'er!" Thomas joked and that made his friends laughed. Once they hopped into Thomas' cab, the blue tank engine let out another "Peep! Peep!" of his whistle before heading out of the Steamworks to go to Brendam Docks to collect the decorations.
Location: Brendam Docks
Once Thomas and his buddies arrived at the Docks, they saw Salty, Porter, Jake, Cubby, Izzy, and Skully next to Bill, Ben, Lola Loud, and Lana Loud. They were very puzzled. This made Thomas and his friends very concerned and decided to see what was going on. But when they looked around, they saw that the trucks that were supposed to be filled with Christmas decorations were nowhere to be seen. Salty, Porter, Bill, Ben, and their special friends saw Thomas and the others looking around.
"Guys, where are the trucks with decorations?" asked Thomas.
"What happened to them?" added Boots.
"Arr, we're just as confused as you are, matey," said Salty.
"Me and my sister came with Bill and Ben to see what happened to the decorations," said Lana. "But when we got there and tried to look around the Docks, we couldn't find them anywhere!"
"There's something fishy about this..." said Porter.
"And it be not in a good way!" added Salty.
"Can you at least tell us what happened before the decorations disappeared?" asked Dorothy.
"Well, after Cranky, Carly, and Big Mickey filled the trucks of decorations, we decided to head out to help the other engines deliver coal to the stations," said Jake.
"But after we got back to check the decorations, they suddenly disappeared," added Izzy. "We didn't know what happened to them."
"However, we suddenly heard laughing as soon as we got back to the Docks," said Cubby. "We couldn't tell who they were, but they sounded very evil."
"Maybe even worse than Captain Hook," said Skully.
"Well, did you at least get a glimpse as to who stole the trucks?" asked Lola.
"No, but Cranky, Carly, and Big Mickey did," said Porter and the three cranes turned around to face the engines and their special friends. They did not look very happy at all.
"As we were busy loading up gifts in more trucks that would be put under the Christmas tree, we suddenly saw the trucks of decorations being pulled away from the Docks," said Carly. "We thought that an engine was taking them to Knapford Station, but then we soon realized that they were going the wrong way."
"It would mean that somebody must've taken the decorations somewhere, but we don't know who and where were they going," added Big Mickey.
"Honestly, it would've been easier for us if an engine was here to keep an eye on those trucks," grumbled Cranky. "At least the trucks of gifts were delivered safely to Knapford thanks to Rosie, Oliver, Duck, Daisy, Donald, Douglas, and their pals. I'd say that this Christmas is going to be a catastrophe to me."
"Now now, Cranky. Christmas is supposed to be the time to be jolly and cheerful," said Wenda. "But, don't worry, we'll find the decorations soon after we tell Sir Topham Hatt and Mr. and Mrs. loud about this first."
"Let's head back to Knapford Station quickly," said Dorothy. "I think all of our friends are waiting for us."
"Great idea, Dorothy," said Thomas. "Maybe we can gather all of our friends and we'll work together to find the decorations." The others thought it was a great idea. If they were going to find the missing decorations, they were going to need all the help they can get to work together.
"You guys go on ahead," said Porter. "I'll stay here with Cranky, Carly, and Big Mickey in case we see someone trying to take something else from us." Thomas, Salty, Bill, Ben, and their special friends were glad to have someone stay behind at the Docks in case something else tries to go missing.
"Tis a fine lad you are, matey," said Salty before turning to the others. "Now, let us head on to Knapford!" As soon as the engines' special friends hopped into their cabs, Thomas, Salty, Bill, and Ben head out of the Docks to go to Knapford Station to tell everyone what had happened.
"Yo ho let's go!" said the Never Land pirates simultaneously.
Location: Knapford Station
At Knapford Station, all of the engines (minus Gordon and Rebecca), along with their special friends, all waited for Thomas and his pals to come back with the finishing touches to complete the celebration. There were lots of decorations, the food on the tables, and the Star of Knapford was on the station itself. Some of the invited guests had already arrived to enjoy the party. Wilhelmina, Frank, and Lyman were glad to be in the party thanks to Dorothy and her friends. Even though Wilhelmina has a big rivalry on Dorothy, she was willing to put it aside for the holiday season. Suzi and Buttsquat were also there next to Spencer. While Buttsquat was a bit skeptical about this, Suzi wanted to give themselves another chance for this, since she didn't want to do anything stupid again. Not only that, but McGee also wanted her to be a good sister to him and his friends, and Suzi would want to make things better for the holidays this year. Just then, Thomas, Salty, Bill, Ben, and their friends arrived at the station. The engines were surprised that Thomas and his pals had not arrived alone.
"What happened, Thomas?" asked Percy. "Where are the decorations?"
"And why are Salty, Bill, Ben, and their other friends are with you?" asked Benny.
"We've got some bad news," Thomas explained. "The decorations went missing." Everyone gasped after they heard what Thomas just said.
"What?!" gasped Emily.
"This is absurd!" exclaimed Rarity. "Who would do such a thing like that?!"
"That's the problem, guys," said Jake. "We don't know who stole the decorations."
"The only ones who saw what had happened were Cranky, Carly, and Big Mickey," added Wes.
"But they only saw the trucks being taken by someone, and they couldn't tell who took them," said Wu.
"Sounds like we have a big problem on our wheels," said Douglas.
"You said it, Dougie," agreed Donald.
"Gawrsh! I sure hope that the decorations are safe," said Goofy.
"Nobody knows what happened to them, Goofy," said Dorothy. "But what we know is that we need to get to the bottom of this and find the missing decorations." Just then, they all heard something coming from above. Everybody looked up to see Harold the Helicoptor, who was with the Poppets in their helicopter and the Little Einsteins in Rocket. They all landed near the station and Harold's door revealed Sir Topham Hatt, Rita Loud, and Lynn Loud Sr. looking very worried. Patty, Blooter, and Bobby all got out of their helicopter while Leo, June, Quincy, and Annie got out of Rocket.
"Hello, Harold," said Nia. "What's up?"
"We've been looking around to find out what happened to the decorations after we heard Thomas and the others notice that they went missing," said Harold.
"But we couldn't find them anywhere," said Patty.
"We tried looking around Misty Island, the Quarry, and even the Skarloey Railway," said Leo. "But the trucks were not in either of those locations."
"But without the decorations, we can't start the Christmas party," said Thomas.
"Don't worry, Thomas," said Sir Topham Hatt. "I'm sure we'll keep looking for the decorations very soon. But we also have something very important to tell you."
"What's that, sir?" asked Rosie.
"Hiro, Ami, and Yumi are coming back to Sodor to deliver the Christmas tree," said Lynn Loud Sr. "The Little Einsteins sent them an invitation to them and they are on their way to bring the Christmas tree." Everyone was very excited to hear that a long time friend was coming back to Sodor for the party.
"Wow! I can't believe it's been a long time since we've last seen Hiro, Ami, and Yumi!" said Emily.
"I can't wait to see them again!" peeped Percy.
"Me neither!" said Lincoln. The others all said the same thing and were very happy to have Hiro, Ami, and Yumi come back after so long. Just then, Blossom looked around to see where the Rowdyruff Boys are, but couldn't see them anywhere.
"Hey, wait a minute!" she said.
"What's wrong, Blossom?" asked Minnie Mouse.
"Where are the Rowdyruff Boys?" said Blossom. "Me and my sisters invited them to the party, but I don't see them anywhere."
"Oh, right! We almost forgot to tell you that we asked them to help Big Jet find more friends to invite them to the party," said June. "They won't be long until the party begins." Just then, everyone soon heard a "Whoop! Whoop!" and a "Toot! Toot!" of whistles. They looked to see that it was Gordon and Rebecca coming by with the Express right on time.
"We have brought the guests our friends invited!" said Rebecca. "I hope we're not too late!"
"Not at all!" said Rita. "You're just in time." Just then, the Express doors open up to reveal a lot of passengers, The engines' special friends were very excited to see that some of the passengers were their own friends they invited from all around the world. Dora, Diego, and their friends walked up to see Kai-Lan, Blue, their friends, Team Umizoomi, and the Bubble Guppies. The latter ones were very happy to see Dora, Diego, Boots, and the others.
"Ni Hao, Dora," said Kai-Lan. "It's great to see you!"
"Hola, Kai-Lan," said Dora. "I'm glad to have you and your friends come over for the party."
"We're glad to be here too!" said Tolee.
"ROAR!!! This party is going to be awesome!" exclaimed Rintoo.
"Ooh-Ooh, Ah-Ah! You can say that again, Rintoo!" agreed Boots cheerfully.
"Woohoo! I love parties!" said Hoho while jumping all around, which caused everyone else to laugh.
"Me too!" agreed Lulu.
"Looks like everyone is very excited to be here," chuckled Kai-Lan's grandfather, Ye-Ye.
"They sure are," said Diego. Just then, Dorothy and her friends came by to see Kai-Lan and her friends.
"Hello, I'm Dorothy, and these are my friends," Dorothy introduced herself with the Cowardly Lion, the Tin Man, the Scarecrow, and Queen Ozma. Toto also barked to introduce himself to Kai-Lan and the others. "I've heard from Thomas that you, along with Timmy Turner, helped him out on certain jobs while I'm not around to be with him sometimes."
"That's right!" Kai-Lan replied. "And I've heard that you're Dorothy Gale from the Wizard of Oz story. Thomas told me a lot about you! It's nice to meet you, Dorothy. I'm Kai-Lan."
"My name is Tolee," said Tolee.
"I'm Rintoo!" said Rintoo.
"My name is Hoho," said Hoho.
"And I'm Lulu," said Lulu. "Dora invited us to the party and we're very excited to be here. It's nice meet all of her friends we have never met before."
"We're glad to have you guys meet our friends we have here," said Dora. Just then, Blue and her friends come up to see Dorothy and her friends. Toto was very excited to meet her and the others and let out a couple of barks.
[Hello!] Blue barked in response. [I'm Blue, and these are my friends.]
[My name is Magenta,] Magenta introduced herself.
[I'm Green Puppy,] said Green Puppy.
"My name is Periwinkle," said Periwinkle.
"I'm Orange Kitten," said Orange Kitten.
"And I'm Purple Kangaroo," said Purple Kangaroo. "We're all friends of Blue, and Dora was kind enough to invite us to the Christmas party."
"Nice to meet all of you," said Dorothy. "Even Toto is really happy to meet you." And she was right. Toto couldn't help himself but feel very happy to meet Blue and her friends. Blue was glad to have someone be playful and friendly just like her and the others.
[From what I heard from Thomas, you must be Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz story,] said Blue. [Thomas told me about you and your adventures with him including his many jobs.]
"That's right!" said Dorothy.
"Looks like you're a fan favorite, aren't ya?" Wilhelmina chuckled while nudging Dorothy's shoulder, causing her to blush in embarrassment. Just then, Team Umizoomi came by in UmiCar to meet up with their friends. Dora and the others were very happy to see them.
"Hello again, everybody!" said Bot. "It's nice to be here for the holidays!"
"Hola, Team Umizoomi," said Dora. "We're glad to see you make it for the party."
"So are we!" agreed Geo. "We wouldn't want to miss this opportunity."
"Hey, I know you guys," said Thomas. "James, Lynn, and Robin told me that you guys, along with a railway inspector, were with them to see Sir Topham Hatt, Mr. Loud, and Mrs. Loud in a meeting."
"Oh, you must be one of James' friends, Thomas the Tank Engine!" said Millie. "After our meeting with Sir Topham Hatt and the Louds' parents, we decided to ask James about all of his friends. He told us a lot about you and the other engines including their friends." Thomas smiled to hear those nice words. Then, the Bubble Guppies came up to see their friends.
"Hello, Dora, Boots, Diego, and all of you guys!" greeted Molly.
"Hola, Molly," said Dora. "We're so glad to see you!"
"It's great to have all of you come for the party," added Alicia.
"You can say that again," agreed Gil. "I'm so glad to be here on Sodor again after so long."
"So are we," said Oona. "We haven't been her for a while ever since we've been back under the ocean."
"Well, we're glad to have you come over to the party this year," said Dorothy. "Maybe you can even stay here for a while until the party's over."
"That would be lovely," said Zooly. "And you must be Dorothy, right?"
"Yep! If I'm not mistaken, Thomas told you a lot about me and a few of his friends, right?" Dorothy replied.
"Yes, we have," said Molly. "I'm Molly, and these are all of my friends." Gil, Goby, Deena, Oona, Nonny, and Zooli all waved to introduce themselves as well. "Together, we are the Bubble Guppies," Molly continued. "We all have a lot of fun together when we hang out at school. And whenever we come to Sodor, we help out the other engines on their jobs."
"Just like all of us," said Isa.
"¡Tenemos muchas amigas ahora! (We have a lot friends now!)" said Tico.
"Sí, Tico," agreed Dora. "I have a feeling that this party is going to be great!"
"Don't forget us!" said a voice and Dora looked to see familiar friends she remembered a long time ago. She smiled happily to see that it was her good friends around her school. They are Alana, Emma, Kate, and Naiya. They were very happy to see Dora again.
"Dora!" they all exclaimed.
"Hola, amigas!" said Dora surprised. "I haven't seen you for so long!"
"Boots and the others invited us to the party and told us about how hardworking you were around this island," said Kate. "When he told us about the Christmas party, we wouldn't want to miss it!" Dora turned to Boots and smiled, from which the monkey happily replied with his own.
"Gracias, Boots," said Dora.
"De nada, Dora," replied Boots. As more passengers got out of the coaches, all of the engines' special friends were excited to see the ones they invited to the party. Winnie the Pooh and his friends were happy to see Christopher Robin, Darby, and her dog, Buster. They were happy to be together for the party today. Jake, izzy, Cubby, Skully, Leo, June, Quincy, and Annie were very happy to see Doc McStuffins and her friends, Vampirina, Poppy, Bridget, Princess Sofia and her family, and the PJ Masks here at the station. They were all very excited and couldn't wait to enjoy the music and food there. Jake was also happy to see Maria the Mermaid to be in the party too, since she didn't want to miss out. Timmy Turner, Wanda, and Cosmo were all happy to see Jimmy Neutron and his friends come to the party as well. Since Timmy and Jimmy were longtime friends, they couldn't wait to enjoy the party together with their own friends as well. There were even lots of other guests from all around the world to meet up with the engines and their special friends. From Spongbob and his buddies, to Strawberry Shortcake and her friends, to even the whole Team Awesomeness crew. They were all very excited for the Christmas party to begin.
"Like, there sure are a lot of guests here," said Shaggy.
"Reah, there are!" agreed Scooby.
"Hoo hoo hoo! This makes me want to bounce with jolly," laughed Tigger. "Because bouncing is what Tiggers do best!"
"I'm so glad our brother, Samuel, and all of his friends came over to celebrate Christmas with us, Leo!" said Annie.
"You're right, Annie," agreed Leo. Just then, everyone heard another long "Peeep!" of a whistle. Thomas almost jumped for joy when he recognized that whistle. There at the very front of the steam team and their pals was a beautiful magical steam engine coming right towards them. That engine was none other than Lady, and she had brought the guests Thomas invited from Shining Time Station. It was Lily Stone and her family and friends.
"Looks like I made it just in time," said Lady.
"It's Lady!" Dorothy gasped. Just then, Lily and the others came out of the Lady's cab. Lily was so happy to see Thomas again. She quickly ran up to him and gave him a hug, which made all of the others smile and awed at the sighed, including Dorothy and Kai-Lan.
"It's nice to see you and the others after so long, Thomas," said Lily.
"Ha ha! I couldn't agree with you more, Lily!" agreed Thomas. "It's so good to see you!" All of the engines and their special friends were happy to see Lily as well. They remembered how she was helpful to them in stopping Diesel 10 and his villainous cronies from taking over the railway. Some of the engines who never saw her before were surprised to see her.
"So, this is Lily you've been telling us about," said Nia.
"Yep," Thomas replied.
"She was a big help to us after Diesel 10 and his friends tried to cause a lot of problems," said Dorothy.
"Most of us learned are lesson after that," said Wilhelmena. "But knowing my aunt, she's not going to give up. I'm only here because I want this Christmas to be good this year."
"Same here for us," added Frank and Lyman nodded in agreement.
"Same for me and Buttsquat," said Suzi.
"Hmph... I'd rather be somewhere else than here," Buttsquat grunted.
"Now come on, Buttsquat," said McGee. "It's Christmas, and we should be together for this."
"Yeah!" agreed Squirt. "Besides, I'm sure we'll get back to doing other things once the party is over. Like, I dunno, handle more jobs around the island."
"Normally I would disagree on something like this, but just this once, I have to agree with my buddies," said Gretchen.
"Mmm... Fine..." sighed Buttsquat.
"So, when's the party going to start?" asked Junior.
"All in due time, Junior," said Sir Topham Hatt. "All we have to do is wait for Hiro, Ami, and Yumi to come by with the tree and for Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys to come back to the party on time."
"I sure hope they'll come back soon," said June.
"We'll just have to wait and see," said Patch and Mutt barked in agreement.
"Let's also hope that there will be nothing going on with Diesel 10 causing trouble stealing Christmas decorations," said Percy. "We don't want that to happen again."
"Defiantly," agreed Burnett. All of the other engines and their special friends nodded in agreement. So, with that, they continued to wait for the tree to come and for Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys to come back to the station with more friends for the party. Even though the station didn't have enough decorations yet, they would be glad to celebrate the holiday season anyway. Little did they know that there was going to be trouble happening, but not in the way they would think...
Notes:
What a good start to this holiday season story, am I right? To be honest, after watching a few episodes of Team Awesomeness' series of Special Friends Adventures with so many crossovers and specials, I've been enjoying them so much and it makes me want to make a story out of them. And here it is! I can't wait to make more for the holiday season. With that being said, I hope you enjoy this special story and hope for more to come very soon. See you then!
Chapter 2: A Delightful yet Devious Deed
Summary:
Last time, the engines and their special friends were getting ready for the holidays by putting decorations all over the Island of Sodor. From Knapford Station, to the Steamworks, to the Docks, and even to Misty Island. Everyone was having a wonderful time. But when Thomas and the others arrived at Brendam Docks to collect more decorations, they soon discovered that they went missing. Cranky, Carly, and Big Mickey told them that they were taken somewhere by someone, but they couldn't tell who did it. So, Thomas, Salty, Bill, Ben, and their pals had to go to Knapford Station with no trucks. While everyone was waiting for the party to begin, Blossom and her sisters realized that the Rowdyruff Boys hadn't showed up for the party and June told them that they were busy helping Big Jet find some more friends to invite for the party. With new events happening, when will Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys come back to help their friends find the missing decorations? How will everyone start the party? What will happen next?
Notes:
In case you couldn't tell, this one is going to focus on Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys after they were mentioned in the last chapter. If you want to know more about what will happen on their story, then read along to find out. With that being said, please enjoy!

Chapter Text
Location: Above the Island of Sodor
High in the sky, there was the roar of an engine and the sound of three kids flying. It was Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys, Brick, Butch, and Boomer. They were searching for more friends to come over to the Island of Sodor and meet up at Knapford Station for the Christmas party that was still being decorated. As of now, they had traveled through the globe for other engines around different countries. They invited Ashima, Shanker, and Rajiv from India, Yong Bao from China, and Hiro, Ami, and Yumi from Japan. The latter three they requested to bring a Christmas Tree and the former group told their friends, the Little Einsteins, the Poppets, and Harold the Helicopter to tell Sir Topham Hatt and the patriarch and matriarch of the Loud family all about it.
Right now, the big blue airplane and the three brothers continued their search around the Island of Sodor to search for more friends to invite for the party. Recently, they had invited Bertie the Bus, Kit and Kaboodle, Twist and Snout, Ninki and Pip, Trevor the Traction Engine, Terrance the Tractor, the Wheelers, the Sodor Construction crew, and Bob the Builder and his crew to the party. There were other friends they invited around the island, and now they were on their way to find more of them.
[Sure does feel nice to help our friends invite others to the party,] sighed Big Jet. [I can't wait for the party to begin.]
"Me neither, Biggie!" said Boomer. "Y'know, I sometimes feel like being heroes is much better than our old villainous ways. After all, our girls gave us another chance and allowed us to help them on their jobs around the island."
"You said it, Boomer," agreed Brick. "I'm glad that we're on the same side now that we ditched being with HIM and that stupid monkey brain for not being good fathers to us. Ms. Keane is a better parent that those two losers, and we gave the other villains satisfying beatdowns!"
"Kinda reminds me of a certain someone who changed sides, eh, Biggie?" asked Butch while nudging Big Jet with his shoulder. Big Jet shrugged when the boys kept reminding him of the time he changed his ways after becoming a permanent member of the Little Einsteins once he apologized to them for taking their favorite things for show and tell. Not to mention that he often teased them sometimes and Gordon, Rainbow Dash, and Lynn all thought he was still being bad until they had their accident.
[Yeah yeah. I get it,] the blue airplane sighed. [Now, come on! We've got more friends to invite.] The Rowdyruff Boys nodded in agreement and followed their friend to search for more guests to invite for the party. They continued flying towards the island to find more engines and their special friends to tell them to come to Knapford Station and wait until the party starts.
Location: The Dieselworks
As a result of how long the blue airplane and his buddies flew, they soon ended up at the Dieselworks. The four of them knew who would be the only ones in that exact building. The thought of going in there made the boys (specifically Boomer and Butch) a little jittery.
"Uh, bros... I don't think we should be here..." shivered Boomer.
"Maybe we should turn back..." agreed Butch, but Big Jet and Brick refused to do that and looked at the two brothers.
"No way, bros! If there are other engines and people in there, maybe we can invite them to the party," said Brick. "Now, we all know that those smelly diesels and their loser friends are in there, but maybe we can invite them to the party since it's Christmas."
[Have to admit, Brick has a point there,] said Big Jet. [Since it's Christmas, and it's our job to invite our friends to the party, maybe we can invite the diesels and their pals to the party, too. I know that they had done a lot of terrible things back in the day, but we can't let them out like that.] Now Butch and Boomer finally decided that it would be a good idea to invite their enemies to the party. With that, they flew into the Dieselworks to find them.
Meanwhile in the Dieselworks, the diesels and their villainous friends were not into the holiday spirit. They had recently ordered 'Arry and Bert to steal the long line of trucks filled with decorations and take them back to the Dieselworks to hang them up around the place. Once the two diesels were successful, the decorations were up and they even got one small tree decorated with ornaments. But despite everything they had, it wasn't enough. They only had a few decorations and their Christmas tree was missing a star. To say that they were disappointed would be an understatement.
"It's not fair!" Diesel 10 grumbled. "Why do all the steamies get to enjoy their holidays while we get NOTHING?!"
"Oh, shut yer mouth about the steamies or whatever you call them," snorted Flintheart Glomgold. "Especially since McDuck and his wee little friends get to enjoy their little party and we're not even invited! Even their mousy and doggie friends get to go to Knapford while we're stuck in this garbage dump!"
"Oh, please! You just want to be the richest duck in the world, yet you keep failing no matter what!" huffed Magica De Spell. "You'll never be able to be rich enough to stand up against that old fool and his silly friends."
"Oh, shut yer beak if you know what's good for ya!" Glomgold snapped in reply.
"Enough of your foolishness, you two!" shouted the Wicked Witch of the West. "What matters now is that we don't have enough decorations here while those idiots are enjoying their silly little time by themselves without us! Even my niece, Wilhelmina, and those two monkey brains, Frank and Lyman, are with them as well, and they didn't even bother asking me to come with them!"
"You complain all you want about your niece and your co-workers, but those stupid ponies didn't bother inviting ME to the party!" complained Cozy Glow.
"The same thing goes for Thomas and his silly friends," added "Devious" Diesel.
"Uh, boss, if I may interrupt, do you think it would be best to ask them about going to the party?" asked Splatter.
"Like, really ask them?" added Dodge, but Diesel 10 only clanked his claw in response.
"Zip it, Splodge!" he snapped. "This is serious!"
"Not to mention that the Powerpuff Girls are also helping out the other engines and their friends around here while we get nothing!" added Mojo Jojo. "It would be better that I, Mojo Jojo, would go over to Knapford Station, steal all of the decorations, and then we can have our party here, while the others get nothing in exchange!"
"I'm not sure that's a good idea..." said Paxton.
"It would be better to ask them to invite us to their party," agreed Norman.
"And then what?!" said Princess Morbucks. "Have the others laugh at us for not having anything in the first place? Reveal that we stole these decorations from them?! We need to keep this undercover! We can't let them know that we stole the decorations from the Docks!"
"Not to mention that our poor Christmas tree is missing a star!" added Cozy Glow. "I can't even ask the Mane Six to help us because we're still enemies. Not to mention that we even tried to ruin their lives for too long, so there's no WAY we can convince them to help us!"
"Especially since that will give us away for taking the decorations to begin with," agreed 'Arry.
"Well, what ARE we going to do about it?" asked Queen Chrysalis. "We can't start out party with our tree missing a star." This made the diesels and their villainous friends think about what to do. Then, Captain Hook had an idea.
"I'd say that we ask someone to secretly go and get a star somewhere and bring it back here," he said.
"Aye aye, Captain!" agreed Mr. Smee. "That's a good idea!"
"Golly! I never thought of that!" gasped Cozy Glow.
"But the only problem is that we need someone to go for us and then come back discreetly," said the Witch. The villains looked around for any volunteers, but it looked like none of the diesels wanted to participate in the mission.
"I would go...but I'm too lazy..." said Dennis.
"I don't want to do this again," said Paxton.
"I have a feeling that we're going to need someone," said Den. "Uh... What I mean is..."
"What he means," Dart butted in, "is that we need someone not from here to help us." Now the villains and the other diesels began to think about who would be willing to help them, but not from their own group. They would ask Spencer, but he was already invited to the party at Knapford Station. Before they could think of any ideas, they suddenly heard an engine roar along with the sounds of flying that were almost similar to the Powerpuff Girls. Everyone looked to see Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys entered the Dieselworks and were surprised to see that all of the decorations were up everywhere.
[Well, it looks like you guys have been getting ready for the holidays, I see,] said Big Jet.
"Too bad it's not as good as what we're getting at Knapford," said Brick while giving out a small smug.
"What's that supposed to mean?" asked Cozy Glow annoyed.
"Oh, nothing," Butch replied. "Just the fact that you don't have as much decorations as we do!"
"No wonder why nobody wants to invite you losers, because you always get the least amount of work than we do around here!" added Boomer. "I guess you can say you are a bunch of slowpokes!" The boys and the blue airplane laughed and laughed at the villains about their teasing on them. This made them and the diesels, minus Paxton, Sidney, Norman, Dennis, Splatter, Dodge, Den, and Dart, very cross. Lord Tirek was so cross that he stomped on the ground with one of his hooves, causing Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys to stop laughing.
"ENOUGH!!!" Tirek yelled. "What gives you the right to laugh at us like that?!"
"Aw, is someone being a little drama king?" Butch chuckled, which made Tirek even crosser.
"What are you boys even doing here anyway?" asked Mojo. "I thought you would never want to see me again after you were with your little adoptive mother and then left me behind!"
"Well, to answer your question, Dorko, me and my boys are traveling all around the world to find some friends to invite for the party," Brick explained. "That is until we came across here and see what you guys are up to. Gotta admit, this place looks like it needs a cleanup. It's so filthy." Big Jet and the boys couldn't help but laugh again. But while they continued laughing, Diesel 10 had an idea.
"Hmm... Maybe we do," he said. "In fact, we could really use your help." This made Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys stop laughing and look at Diesel 10 in confusion. Even the villains and the other diesels looked at Diesel 10 to see what he was doing.
[And why should we help you?] Big Jet asked skeptically. [There are so many things you have done to us.]
"That is true," said Diesel. "But there are times that we helped you, right?"
"And since it is Christmas, we could really use your help with something," said the Witch.
"Give us one good reason why we should help you," Butch demanded.
"If you help us, we can return the favor in helping you find more guests for your party," said Princess Morbucks. Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys were still not sure about what they were proposing and thought that it was going to be some kind of trick. So, they huddled together to talk about it.
"I don't know about this. I don't think we could just say no to them," Boomer whispered. "Remember when we rejected Little Baby Brat before and she joined the girls to beat us up?"
"Yeah, we remember that," said Butch. "But think about it. If we help them out, they can help us find more friends for the party."
"Then again, this is the villains we're talking to," added Brick. "Especially since one of them is that stupid monkey breath and that spoiled princess."
[I think it's best if we listen to what they are going to tell us,] said Big Jet. [If we don't help them, we'll never have them help us find more friends. What if Sir Topham Hatt and Mr. and Mrs. Loud get cross with us if we fail our task?] Now the Rowdyruff Boys were concerned about what the fat controller, Rita Loud, and Lynn Loud Sr. would feel if they didn't finish helping them get more friends for the party. Knowing that there was only one thing to do, they made an agreement. With that, they turned back to face the diesels and their friends.
"We're listening," said Brick. "What do you want?"
"You see, we were getting ready for our Christmas party, but we have everything except for one thing," said Diesel 10.
"Our precious tree doesn't have a star on top of it," sobbed Morbucks. "We can't go out and have the others see us. If they do, they won't let us get what we need."
"Which is why we're asking you to help us," said Bert. "Can you help us get a star for us and we'll have our party here?"
"And if you decide to help us, we'll make sure to invite more of your friends for your party at Knapford," added Diesel. Now Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys felt bad for them since they don't have enough supplies for their party at the Dieselworks. It made them want to help them, despite their differences. They knew that since it's Christmas, everyone should help each other. But when they heard them say that nobody was helping them, they decided to change that.
[Don't worry, we can help you,] said Big Jet.
"We'll make sure to bring you a star for your tree and then we'll be right back as soon as we can," added Brick.
"Consider you guys having a deal," added Butch.
"Yeah!" added Boomer. This made the diesels and their villainous friends very happy.
"Oh, thank you so much!" said Cozy Glow. "We promise that it won't be a waste of your time."
"But make sure you get back here quickly," said Queen Chrysalis. "Some of us don't like waiting for too long."
"Unless you don't want to get yourself trapped in Pinchy!" said Diesel 10 and clanked his claw to confirm it. This made the Rowdyruff Boys shiver from the claw, but Big Jet still remained brave.
[We won't let you down!] he said before turning to the boys. [Come on, you three. Let's go find a star for them.]
"Roger that, Biggie!" replied the Rowdyruff Boys before all four of them zoom out of the Dieselworks to find a star for the diesels and their friends. But the only ones who were not so sure about the idea were Paxton, Sidney, Norman, Dennis, Splatter, Dodge, Den, and Dart.
"Are you sure that was a good idea?" asked Dennis.
"Hmph! As long as those three get here soon, then it better be," huffed Tirek.
"It will be fine, Tirek," said Diesel 10. "After all, we didn't tell them that we stole the decorations from the Docks." This made the villains and their bad diesels smug big smiles. They knew that their plan was going to work. Now the good diesels were worried about getting into trouble if they were going to be found out about what Sir Topham Hatt would say about this, even Rita Loud and Lynn Loud Sr. One thing is for certain that it was not going to be good.
Location: Knapford Station
Back at Knapford Station, the engines and their special friends were still waiting for the tree to arrive from Hiro, Ami, and Yumi. They couldn't wait for the party to start. But they were so busy waiting that they didn't notice Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys hiding above the station looking around for a star. Earlier, the four of them had been searching for one, but couldn't find them anywhere. The only place they had left was Knapford, but no dice.
"See anything yet?" asked Butch.
"No luck, bro," replied Boomer.
[Keep looking. We can't let the others down,] said Big jet and they continued to do that. Just then, they, along with the engines and their friends, heard a very long and loud toot of a whistle, along with the sounds of rock n roll music. Everyone gasped when they saw that it was Hiro, Ami, and Yumi, pulling into Knapford Station with something behind them. On their flatbed was a big, beautiful Christmas tree. The engines and their special friends could not believe their eyes. When Hiro stopped in front of them, Ami and Yumi jumped up and did one long and loud strum of their guitars in a big introduction. Everyone hooted, tooted, and cheered when they saw them arriving.
"Thank you, ladies and gentlemen!" said Ami. "It's great to be here again!"
"Wowers!" exclaimed Riff. "What an introduction!"
"It's so nice to see you again, Hiro!" said Thomas. "How was everything in Japan?"
"It has been alright, Thomas," Hiro replied. "I'm glad that I could be a huge help for the holiday by giving you this Christmas tree." Everybody looked to see that Hiro, Ami, and Yumi, had brought the Christmas tree and were amazed at how beautiful it was.
"Wow wow wow!" exclaimed Wubbzy. "That's the biggest Christmas tree I have ever seen!"
"It sure is!" agreed Jenny Wakeman. "This will be great for the party once it's been decorated with lights, baubles, and more!" Everyone else couldn't agree more. Even Big Jet, Brick, Butch, and Boomer were amazed at how beautiful the tree is.
"That really is a big Christmas tree!" said Boomer. "Can you see this, brothers?"
"Definitely, bro!" said Brick, until he noticed something behind the tree. "Hey, do you guys see what's over there?" The other boys and Big Jet looked carefully as to what Brick was seeing. They saw something very shiny and gold. When they saw the shape as to what it was, they gasped. Behind the tree was a beautiful star.
"It's a star for the top!" said Boomer. "It's exactly what we are looking for!"
"Hey, you're right!" agreed Butch. "Now that we've found the star, we need to figure out a way to take it and bring it back to the diesels and their friends."
[The question is how are we going to do that?] asked Big Jet.
"Let's gather around. I think I have an idea on what we are going to do," said Brick, and his two brothers and the big blue airplane huddled to talk about their plan to take the star. Once they figured out on what to do, they though it would be a very naughty yet great idea for taking the star.
A few minutes later...
With a little help from Rocket and Patty in the helicopter, the tree was lifted off of the flatbed and stood next to the station. It was soon decorated with lots of ornaments; candy canes, baubles, lights, and tinsels. Now all that was left was the star to put on the top of the tree. Rocket carefully carried the star to the tree as Sir Topham Hatt gave his announcement.
"I would like to thank everyone for coming over to the party today," he said. "We may not have enough decorations for the party, we can still enjoy it while the holidays last!" Everyone cheered when they were waiting for the party to begin. Just then, Rocket placed the star on top of the tree before coming back down next to his friends.
[All done!] he chimed.
"Well done, Rocket!" said Leo.
"Now we can start the party!" added Dorothy.
"That's right," said Sir Topham Hatt. "Without further ado, let the holidays begin!" The engines, their special friends, and the party guests all cheered once again for the party to begin. But then, they suddenly heard noises coming from behind them. Before they could say anything, Brick, Butch, and Boomer suddenly flew by very fast.
"Comin' through!" they laughed as they rocketed through the station.
"What was that?!" gasped Twilight and everybody looked around to see what they were and what happened. But while they were distracted, they didn't know that Big Jet was right next to the tree. The only one who saw him was Toto and he barked loudly at him to stop what he was doing, but it was too late. Big Jet swiped the star off of the tree and flew away with after the boys, where they were waiting for him. After everyone stopped looking around, Blossom was the first to speak.
"Was that the Rowdyruff Boys who just passed us?" she asked.
"Those colors don't lie," said Buttercup. Toto continued to bark and was also feeling very worried.
"What's wrong, Toto?" asked Dorothy and then she looked up as to what Toto was looking at and gasped. "Oh, no!" When the others heard her say that, they looked at the tree to see that something was missing. The star was gone!
"What the?! Where did the star go?!" exclaimed McGee.
"Somebody must've taken it!" said Doc McStuffins.
"But who would take the star like that while we were not looking?" asked Sofia.
"Toto tried to warn us, but we noticed it too late," said Dorothy. "Maybe it was the Witch. She must've been jealous we didn't invite her to the party."
"I don't know..." said Wilhelmina. "My aunt would've laughed if she was getting away with the stolen star."
"Maybe it was Cozy Glow," said Applebloom. "She always wanted to get things done her way."
"I don't think so, sugar cube," said Applejack. "The star is too heavy for someone like her."
"Then who could it be?" asked Leo, but before anybody else could take their guesses, they suddenly heard familiar engines roaring and the laughs of three boys. They soon looked up at the source to see Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys laughing at their accomplishment.
"Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! We sure got those guys good!" Brick laughed.
"You said it, bro! They never saw us coming!" agreed Butch.
[So, now that we got the star, the only thing left for us to do is to take it back to the Dieselworks where we can finish our part of the job,] said Big Jet. [Once we are done, they'll help us invite more friends for the party.]
"Then what are we waiting for?" said Boomer. "Let's go!"
"Before we do that," said Brick, "let's give our friends a little fun..." The boys and the big blue airplane knew what Brick was talking about and looked down at their friends, who were looking up at them in nothing but complete shock.
"THE ROWDYRUFF BOYS?!" gasped the Powerpuff Girls.
"AND BIG JET?!" exclaimed the Little Einsteins.
"They stole the star!" said Jake.
"But this isn't right!" said Thomas. "They can't be the ones doing this!" Dora looked towards the Powerpuff Girls and the Little Einsteins.
"I thought you told us those guys changed their ways," she said.
"Yeah, like how I changed and never swiped on Christmas anymore," added Swiper.
"We did!" said Annie. "But we don't know why they stole the star from the tree!"
"Something about this isn't right at all!" said Bubbles. Just then, they saw Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys flying closer to their friends with smug smiles on their faces. Well, for the Rowdyruff Boys and not Big Jet, but the blue airplane was also smug as well.
"Well well... Seems like we have snagged a prize for ourselves," said Brick. "I guess they wanted the star before us."
"Well, guess what, steamies and friends, we saw the star first and it belongs to us fair and square!" added Butch.
"What are you talking about?!" said Blossom. "That star belongs to the tree! Give it back now!"
"Sorry, babe, but we got it first, so we're taking it with us!" said Brick. "We distracted you and allowed Big Jet to take the prize. Now that we have the star, we're going to take it over to another tree where a few partygoers are going to celebrate their Christmas party." This made the engines and their friends confused.
"Another party?" wondered Emily.
"What is he even talking about?" asked Minnie Mouse. Thomas puffed towards Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys.
"Look, I don't know what is going on here, but you should know that the star belongs to us for the party we're having!" he said. "You're supposed to help us invite more friends for the party, and you're instead taking something from it! Give us back the star right now!"
"Let me think..." Brick said before rubbing the back of his head and then looked back at the blue tank engine. "Uh... I didn't quite hear your question. Can you repeat that?" He and his brothers, along with Big Jet giggled and chuckled at that. That made Thomas very cross. Dorothy and Lily came up to him and calmed him down. Thomas was glad to have his friends with him to calm him down, but he was still cross at the blue airplane and the boys for stealing the star, and also for Brick teasing him.
"Now listen up here, you punks!" Rainbow Dash boomed. "What you're doing is not good at all! Just give us back the star and we'll make things easier for you!"
"Yeah, dudes!" added Luna Loud. "The tree is not going to be the same without it." But Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys refused to comply. Instead, an idea flew into their heads.
[Well, if the star is what you want, then it's what you must get!] said Big Jet.
"What's that supposed to mean?!" snapped Buttsquat.
"If you want the star back, you'll have to catch us first!" Brick replied.
"That is if you are fast enough to catch us," said Boomer. "Oh, wait! You CAN'T! Because you're all just a bunch of slow snails!" This made Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys howl with laughter. With that out of the way, they all flew away as far as they could with the blue airplane still holding the star within his grasp. They were soon out of the engines and their special friends' sights.
"Oh, no!" gasped Leo. "Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys are taking the star far away!"
"Ay, no!" cried Tico.
"This is terrible!" cried June. "We can't start the Christmas party without the star on top of the tree!"
"Curse me kilts!" exclaimed Scrooge McDuck. "I just noticed somethin'!"
"What is it, Uncle Scrooge?" asked Huey.
"I overheard them talking about taking that star to the Dieselworks!" Scrooge replied and that made the others gasp in shock.
"You mean that they're taking it to the diesels and their evil friends?!" gasped Fluttershy.
"But why would they do that?!" asked Donald Duck.
"Somethin' tells me that those boys made a deal with those cahoots," replied Scrooge. "I'm thinkin' that they're taking it over to the Dieselworks for somethin', but I'm not so sure exactly."
"Well, one thing's for certain is that we can't let that happen!" said Lincoln.
"I agree!" said Louie Duck. "We need to go after them and take that star back!"
[They're right!] Rocket chimed in. [We need to stop Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys from delivering that star to the Dieselworks, and fast!] The Little Einsteins all thought it was a great idea.
"You're absolutely right!" said June.
"But we're going to need all the help we can get!" said Leo. "Some of the engines and our friends will come with us to chase after Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys to get the star back. The others will stay behind and keep an eye out on Knapford Station just in case other decorations get stolen. We'll each need to split up into teams." So everyone gathered around into groups and got into their respectful engines. Dorothy, Toto, Dora, Boots, Lincoln, Twilight Sparkle, Kai-Lan, Blue, Molly, and Lily all hopped aboard on Thomas, McGee, Gretchen, Squirt, Pinkie Pie, Rintoo, Tolee, Hoho, and Strawberry Shortcake all hopped aboard Percy, Donald Duck, Suzi, Buttsquat, and Rarity all hopped aboard James, Rainbow Dash, Lynn Loud Jr., and Lori Loud all hopped aboard Gordon, the rest of the Loud sisters, Fluttershy, Starlight Glimmer, and Trixie Lulamoon hopped aboard Emily, the Super Readers and the Mystery Gang hopped aboard Edward, Blooter, Bobby, and the Warners all hopped aboard Henry, Applejack, Wubbzy, Widget, Walden, and Daizy all hopped aboard Toby, Nature Cat, Hal, Daisy, and Squeeks hopped aboard Nia, Pooh, Tigger, Rabbit, Eeyore, Roo, and Lumpy hopped aboard Rebecca, Lana, Gil, Goby, Nonny, Heuy, Dewey, and Louie hopped aboard Donald, Lola, Deema, Ooma, Zooli, Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and Daisy Duck hopped aboard Douglas, Rex, Unicorn, Komodo, Mouse, and Sasquatch hopped aboard Oliver, who had Toad the Break Van with him, Timmy Turner, Cosmo, and Wanda hopped aboard Duck, and Kit and Kaboodle, Twist and Snout, Ninki and Pip, Jake, Izzy, Cubby, and Skully hopped aboard Salty, and the Wheelers were all on the road with Bertie the Bus to help out the engines and their special friends. The ones who will be flying up above were the Little Einsteins in Rocket, Patty in her helicopter, the Powerpuff Girls, Jenny Wakeman, Wilhelmina, Frank, Lyman, and Vampirina in her bat form. The others were going to stay behind to keep an eye on the station. Sir Topham Hatt was also going to go with them by hoppin on board Thomas. Rita Loud and Lynn Loud Sr. decided to stay with the other guests and the remaining engines to keep an eye on the station.
"Is everyone ready to go?" asked Thomas.
"We're ready!" everybody replied.
"Be careful, you guys," said the Scarecrow. "It could be dangerous out there, especially when there are icy tracks."
"Come back soon with the star safely," added Alana.
"Don't worry," said Dorothy. "We'll be back with the star before the party starts."
"Those boys won't handle us altogether," Wilhelmina added.
"Yeah, what she said," said Lyman. Leo then took out his baton as it shines.
"We've got a mission!" he said. "We're going to catch Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys and take the star back to Knapford Station. Let...the mission... begin!" With that, Rocket blasted off to the sky, with Patty in her helicopter, the Powerpuff Girls, Jenny Wakeman, Wilhelmina, Frank, Lyman, and Vampirina following them, while the engines and their special friends, including Sir Topham Hatt, went after them to chase Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys to get the star back from them. The other engines tooted their whistles and the guests, along with Rita Loud and Lynn Loud Sr., waved to the others.
"Good luck, everyone!" they all said together. The chase to get the star back from Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys was on!

Chapter 3: Red Light, Green Light
Summary:
Last time, Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys invited a lot of other engines from all around the world to come to the party. When they came across the Dieselworks, they saw that the diesels and their villainous friends getting their decorations up and a Christmas tree for their party. Unbeknownst to the big blue airplane and his allies, however, those decorations were the same ones that were stolen from the Docks. They were about to leave until Diesel 10 offered them a deal. He and his friends asked him to find a star and take it back to the Dieselworks, and in return, they'll help them out in finding more friends for the party at Knapford. Reluctantly, Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys agreed to help and arrived at Knapford Station where they saw a big Christmas Tree with the star on top. Believing that it's the star they were looking for, the boys distracted their friend while Big Jet took the star. After that, they flew away towards the Dieselworks with their friends chasing behind them. With the catastrophe beginning, will the chasers be successful in taking back the star? Or will Big Jet and his cronies get back to the Dieselworks in time? What will happen next?

Chapter Text
Location: The Main Line
Further along the line, Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys happily flew over the tracks. They couldn't believe that their plan actually worked to take the star. Now that they got it, they could get going to the Dieselworks to give it to Diesel 10 and his friends to begin their Christmas party. But Big Jet was slightly struggling to keep himself up in the air, because he didn't think that the star would be a bit heavy. Luckily, he still had the Rowdyruff Boys to help him carry the star.
"Heh heh! Can't believe we got those guys good, didn't we?" asked Butch.
"We sure did!" Brick replied. "Now that we got the star, let's hurry to the Dieselworks and give it to the diesels and their friends."
"And once we're done with that, they'll help us invite more friends for the party at Knapford!" said Boomer. His brothers and Big Jet couldn't agree with him more. But then, they heard the sounds of engines chuffing and tires squealing.
[Did you hear that?] asked Big Jet.
"It sounds like it's coming from behind!" said Boomer. They looked behind them to see their friends and their engines, along with Bertie the Bus, the Kerwhizz racers, and the Wheelers chasing them. Not only that, but Patty in her helicopter, the Powerpuff Girls, Jenny, Vampirina in her bat form, and the Little Einsteins in Rocket were after them as well.
"Come back with that star!" exclaimed Thomas.
"It belongs to the tree at Knapford Station!" added Dorothy.
"And if you don't bring it back, there's going to be big trouble!" added Rainbow Dash. But the big blue airplane and the Rowdyruff Boys took no notice about what their friends were telling them. Instead, they thought they were the ones trying to steal the star away from them.
"Sounds like these guys want a race to see who can get away with the star first!" said Butch.
[Well, we'll show them!] said Big Jet.
"You said it, Biggie!" said Brick. "Boys, let's move!" With that being said, Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys did not stop to give their friends back the star. instead, they flew faster and faster to get away from them. The engines and their friends could not believe their eyes.
"They're getting away!" exclaimed Kit.
"We can't let them take that star to the Dieselworks!" said Leo. "Who knows what will happen if they get there?!"
"We have to hurry!" said Dora. "Rapido!" With that in mind, all of the engines pumped their pistons and raced after Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys. Bertie and the Kerwhizz racers put the pedal to the metal and went faster and faster after the big blue airplane and his allies. Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys flew over the tracks to get to the Dieselworks on time with the star, but Thomas and his friends were determined to get the star back and take it Knapford where it belongs.
"Come back here!" yelled the ponies.
"Give us back the star!" yelled Buttercup.
"Or else we'll tell Sir Topham Hatt about what you are doing!" Lincoln warned.
"You don't want that to happen, now do you?" asked Molly as the engines puffed faster and faster. But the tracks were icy, and the engine's wheels started to slip and slide. The same thing goes for the road, and Bertie's wheels, along with the Kerwhizz racers' cars and the Wheelers', scooted and skated on the road.
"Cinders and ashes!" gasped Thomas. "This is slippery!"
"I don't think we can go too fast on the roads and tracks," said Ninki.
"Boys! The tracks and the roads are too dangerous for the engines and Bertie and his friends to go through," said Daphne. "You have to slow down!" But the boys and their airplane friend refused to comply. They thought their friends were tricking them in getting the star by going faster.
"These guys are persistent as I expected," said Boomer.
"They're even gaining on us!" said Butch. "How are we going to lose them?!" Up ahead on the line, the Rowdyruff Boys and Big Jet suddenly saw a signal box nearby, along with a set of signals that shown green. This gave Brick a naughty idea.
"I can see a signal box over there," he told his brothers. "If we can mess around with the signals and turn them all red, it will make the engines stop on their tracks. That way, it will be easier for us to get away from them." Butch and Boomer that this was a good idea, and laughed cheekily. Then they turned to Big Jet.
"You heard it all, right, Biggie?" asked Butch.
[I heard you alright,] Big Jet replied. [You guys mess with the signals and I'll go through them quickly. But you better hurry! They're still catching up!] So, the Rowdyruff Boys hurried over to the signal box as Big Jet dashed through the green signals. Once he was behind them, he stopped and looked at the signal box where the boys where heading to. The engines and their friends were puzzled.
"Why did Big Jet stop behind the signals?" asked Quincy.
"And what are those naughty boys up to?" added Starlight.
"It looks like those guys are heading towards that signal box," said Percy. Then Thomas noticed what was going to happen. Before he could say anything, the boys made it to the signal box and knocked on the door. The signalman heard the knocking and opened the door to see the Rowdyruff Boys. He was very tired after a long hard work today for the holidays.
"Sorry, but you're being a bit lazy for the job," said Brick. "So we're taking over your duties for ya!" Before the signalman could react, Butch and Boomer quickly grabbed him and then threw him out of the signal box.
"Consider this your Christmas break," chuckled Butch as he and his brothers closed the door and locked it, leaving the signalman out.
"Hey! Open the door!" he yelled while pounding on the door, but the Rowdyruff Boys refused to listen. Instead, they looked directly at the levers that are connected to the signals nearby.
"I'd say we destroy this thing to shut down the signals," said Butch.
"But where's the fun in that, bro?" asked Boomer. "I have an even better idea."
"What's that?" asked Brick.
"If we can pull two levers each at the same time, it might just turn all of the green signals to red," said Boomer. "That way, those guys will never catch up to us!" Brick and Butch laughed cheekily at that idea.
"Looks like you're smarter than we thought!" said Brick and that made Butch and Boomer happy. With their naughty idea in mind. the three brothers each picked two levers, and held them into their hands. "On the count of three, we'll pull the levers at the same time," said Brick. "Ready?"
"Ready!" replied Butch and Boomer.
"Okay!" Brick declared. "One... Two... Three!" Once the brothers pulled their levers, the signals outside suddenly turned red. After they were done, the brothers unlocked the door and rushed outside to see if their plan worked. They were pleased to see that the signals were red.
[Nice work, boys!] said Big Jet. [Now, let's see what happens next.] The blue airplane and his three friends looked down to see the engines and their special friends coming towards the signals. But when Thomas saw that the signals turned red, he applied his brakes. The other engines heard Thomas and applied their brakes as well. They stopped just in time. Bertie and his friends saw the commotion and they too screeched to a halt.
"Why would the signals be red?" asked James. "I don't see any other engine coming by."
"This can't be right," said Suzi. "We can't stop at a time like this!"
"This can't be the work of the signalman that's for sure," said McGee.
"How do you know?" asked Gretchen and McGee only pointed towards the nearby signal box that showed the signalman crossly rushing towards the engines and their special friends. Sir Topham Hatt got out of Thomas' cab to see what was going on.
"What happened?" he asked.
"I don't know, sir, but three boys kicked me out of the signal box and I saw them messing around with the levers!" replied the signalman.
"'Three boys'?" wondered Bubbles. "It couldn't be..." Before anybody else could say anything else, they heard laughing coming from behind the signals. Everybody looked up to see Big Jet, Brick, Butch, and Boomer laughing that they turned the signals red to stop the engines on their tracks.
"Aw, sorry that you had to stop at a red light," said Brick. "Looks like you're stuck here for a while." Kai-Lan put the pieces together.
"It was the Rowdyruff Boys!" she explained. "They messed around with the signal box controls to turn all of the signals red!" The other engines and their special friends gasped. Then they, along with Sir Topham Hatt and the signalman, looked at the boys and the big blue airplane crossly.
"What are you even doing?!" exclaimed Nia. "You're going to make us late for the party if you don't give us back the star!"
"Sorry, Ni-Ni, but this star belongs to us!" Butch chuckled. "And now we'll be on our way to the Dieselworks!"
[You'll never catch us now!] snorted Big jet as he and the Rowdyruff Boys soared smugly away.
"Smell ya later, losers!" said Boomer as he and his brothers, along with Big Jet, laughed and laughed until they were out of the others' sights.
"Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys are getting away with the star!" exclaimed Annie.
"We have to go after them! We can't stand around here doing nothing!" said Twist.
"Ah, we can't get through if the signals are red!" said Douglas. "It's too dangerous to go through a red signal."
"Can't we just get through it anyway?" asked Rebecca. "I mean, we all know that this isn't the signalman's doing, and that we don't see any other engine coming by."
"We can't do that, Rebecca," said Dorothy. "Remember when Gordon and Lori didn't pay attention and accidently dashed through a red signal, which caused them to crash into a goods train of jam tankers? It had to take him a long time for Gordon to get the jam cleaned out of his engine." Gordon and Lori sheepishly remembered that accident. They didn't want to be reminded of that, but it made them learn a lesson to pay attention to signals and not crash into something or someone again.
"Not to mention that I had to take a nice long shower because of how sticky the jam was," said Lori.
"We also learned a lesson after that," added Gordon.
"But if we can't get through the signals, we'll never get the star back from Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys," sighed Percy. "What are we going to do?"
"I can go back to the signal box to switch the signals back, but it's going to be hard to do that," said the signalman.
"Why?" asked Dora and Boots simultaneously.
"Because those boys pulled six levers at the same time with both of their arms due to their strength," replied the signalman. "Since they pulled six levers, I need five more people to come with me to pull the remaining levers." Then, an idea flew into Thomas' funnel.
"I know! How about the Powerpuff Girls handle pulling the levers?" he suggested. "Since they have the Rowdyruff Boys' similar strength, they can handle it together." The others though it was a good idea.
"Good thinking, Thomas," said June.
"We'll get this done in no time!" said Buttercup.
"Just be careful," said Vampirina. "Something like this might be complicated." The Powerpuff Girls took note of that and went with the signalman to the signal box. Once they entered inside, they saw the levers. But they didn't know which ones were the right ones to turn the signals back to green. Luckily, the signalman was able to tell them what to do and they each got their levers to push.
Meanwhile, the engines and their special friends were waiting for the Powerpuff Girls to change the signals to green. As they waited, they decided to talk about Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys, as well as their reason why they were taking the star to the Dieselworks.
"Anybody have any ideas as to why those guys are taking the star?" asked Lucy.
"Can't say I do," replied Suzi. "I haven't been there for a while now."
"Me neither," added Buttsquat.
"I don't think I have anything to say about it," said Lyman and Frank shook his head to confirm.
"Maybe they're trying to go back to their old ways again," said Rainbow Dash. "It could be the only thing we can think of, since they did cause a lot of trouble in the past."
"No, that can't be right," Applejack declined. "They were only trying to help us find more guests for the party like June said, so why would they do something like this instead?"
"Maybe it's because someone is telling them to help them or something," said Emily.
"That could be the case," added Henry. "I mean, if they were doing something, it must be for a reason."
"I think I may know who would tell them to steal that star..." said Thomas, which brought everyone's attention to him.
"Who?" asked Cubby.
"Diesel 10!" Thomas replied firmly, and that name alone made everyone gasp. They all knew about Diesel 10, and then they remembered a few others that are with him.
"Wait a minute... If that diesel might be the one who told them to steal that star...then that means my aunt must be a part of this, too!" exclaimed Wilhelmina.
"And that nasty Cozy Glow!" added Twilight Sparkle.
"Even the nefarious Lord Tirek!" added Spike.
"And that rude Queen Chrysalis" added Rarity.
"Don't forget about that no good Glomgold and Magica De Spell!" said Scrooge.
"Ugh! I hate those guys!" groaned Huey.
"So do we!" agreed Dewey and Louie.
"Maybe even that Captain Hook is also a part of this as well!" said Jake. "If he's still with those diesels, then that means there's still more trouble!"
"Yeah!" agreed Izzy, Cubby, and Skully.
"Maybe they might be the ones to tell them to steal the star to begin with," said Patty.
"If that's true, then we need to go over to the Dieselworks and stop them!" said Super Why. The others agreed. Just then, the Powerpuff Girls came back to their friends.
"We've just got the signals to green!" said Blossom. "Look!" Everyone looked up to see the signals changed back to green. Now they can continue their chase after Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys.
"Well done, Powerpuff Girls," said Sir Topham Hatt. "You three have been really useful." This made the Powerpuff Girls very happy. They were glad to help.
"Wonder-ific! You three were terrific!" said Wonder Red. "Now we can go after those naughty boys and their big bad jet!"
"Let's hope that we can get the star back and talk them out of this," said Mickey Mouse. "I'm really worried about them."
"Same here," agreed Leo. "But we can't let the others down. We have to get that star back and take it to Knapford before the party starts."
"Then let's hurry! We have a big airplane and three boys to go after!" said Lily. The others agreed with her and quickly hopped back into their respectful engines. Once they were ready, Thomas and his engine friends pumped their pistons and raced through the green signals to go after Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys again. Bertie the Bus the Kerwhizz racers, and the Wheelers went with their friends to continue their chase. This time, they made sure to go slowly if they were approaching the ice tracks and the slippery road. But it was also getting late. One thing's for certain was that they had to get the star as soon as possible. If they didn't get the star, there would be no Christmas party, and that was something there were NOT going to let that happen.
Notes:
I know that this was a bit short, but I can assure you that the next chapter will be just as exciting. Now that the engines and their special friends have started to realize that their enemies were the ones for having Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys steal the star from Knapford Station, they are going to go straight to the Dieselworks and stop the big blue airplane and the trio of boys from delivering it there. The next chapter will be the big chase to end it all off, but there will also be something else as a surprise. What is it? Well, stay tuned to find out! Bye bye!
Chapter 4: Engine Trouble
Summary:
Last time, the engines and their special friends chased after Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys to take back the stolen star. But the tracks and the road were very icy, as their friends back at Knapford warned them. They wanted the big blue airplane and the boys to bring the star back to the station, but they refused and instead kept going to the Dieselworks. On their way, they saw signals up ahead and the boys broke into the signal box and changed the signals to red, causing all of the engines to stop. As the thieves get away with the star, the Powerpuff Girls went into the signal box to change the signals back to green. As their friends waited, they all talked about who would ask Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys to steal the star in the first place, until they finally came to the conclusion that it was Diesel 10 and his villainous friends. Once the signals were green thanks to the Powerpuff Girls, and now that the engines and their special friends got a clear guess about the perpetrators, they dashed through the signals to continue their chase. Can they be successful in getting the star back this time? Will they stop Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys from reaching the Dieselworks? What will happen next?
Notes:
Our chase is going to continue once again, but if you guys are wondering about the chapter subtitle, this is where my surprise comes into play. If you want to know what that means and what you will be expecting, then read along to find out. With that being said, please enjoy!

Chapter Text
Location: Pathway to the Dieselworks
Soon, the engines and their special friends, along with Bertie the Bus and his allies, found Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys again. The latter four didn't seem to notice their friends coming behind them. They thought that they got away from them this time and were very pleased. Now that they believed that they got away from their chasers, the only thing that was left was to deliver the star the Dieselworks, so that the diesels and their friends could enjoy their party. But the star was very heavy, and Big Jet didn't notice that his right engine was starting to fail due to carrying the star for too long.
"Heh heh! Now I'm sure we got away from those losers this time!" chuckled Brick.
[Now let's hurry to the Dieselworks and give this star to the diesels and the others,] said Big Jet. [We're going to be really useful now!]
"That's what you think!" boomed a voice, which was revealed to be Wilhelmina, and the big blue airplane and the boys looked behind them to see the engines and their special friends still coming on their tail. This made them very cross.
"Why won't you just give up already?!" yelled Butch. "Can't you leave us alone?!"
"Not until you give us back that star!" replied Thomas crossly.
"Oh, yeah? Well, try to keep up, puffball!" said Boomer as he and his brothers, along with Big Jet, flew faster and faster to get away. Big Jet's right engine was failing to work properly as the star was too heavy for the blue airplane to carry, but he didn't take any notice.
"They're getting away!" exclaimed Quincy.
"After them!" added Dorothy. Thomas and the other engines' wheels whirred like the wind. They chuffed as fast as they could. Bertie and his nearby road friends put the pedal to the metal and went after Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys. Everybody wanted to get the star back as quickly as possible. Then, Rocket and the Little Einsteins got closer and closer to the big blue airplane and the boys. Leo had an idea.
"Rocket! Let's grab the star from Big Jet's hands," he said. "If we can pull the star away from Big Jet, we can take it to Knapfrod quickly."
[Good idea!] agreed Rocket. [But what about the Rowdyruff Boys?]
"We'll handle the boys from here!" said Blossom.
"You can always count on the Powerpuff Girls!" added Buttercup.
"Come on, girls! Let's go!" said Bubbles and her sisters nodded in agreement. With that, the three of them flew right towards the boys. Once the Rowdyruff Boys looked behind them after they heard the girls coming towards them, they failed to stop them once they were kicked that sent them flying backwards.
"Yowch!" they cried.
"Got 'em!" said Buttercup. "Alright, Rocket, get that star!" Rocket nodded and quickly flew towards Big Jet. The blue airplane turned around as to what had happened to the boys, but once he looked behind him to see Rocket, the red rocket ship grabbed the star and pulled with all his might.
[Hey! Let go!] Big Jet growled.
"No, YOU let go!" Gordon snorted.
"Now give us back the star!" Duck added. "Or else we'll take it by force!"
[Not a chance!] Big Jet replied before looking in front of him. [Boys, get over here!] Brick, Butch, and Boomer suddenly heard their friend after they regained their composure from the collision they received. They quickly flew towards Big Jet and stopped right in front of him. Then they saw that he was struggling to pull the star away from the others. But, like Big Jet, they didn't notice that the blue airplane's right engine was failing, which was starting to get worse.
"What's going on, Biggie?!" asked Boomer.
[They're trying to take the star away from us!] Big Jet replied. [I need your help!]
"What is it?" asked Butch.
[You need to climb into my canopy and then drive me!] Big Jet explained. [Just use my controls to help me go faster and pull the star away! We can't let them take it!] The Rowdyruff Boys nodded in agreement and Big Jet quickly opened his canopy to allow the boys to enter inside his cockpit. After closing it up, Brick landed on the pilot seat and buckled up, while Butch and Boomer hovered on both sides. The Rowdyruff leader took control of the jet plane and steered Big Jet to make him pull the star harder. Big Jet's engines roared as he struggled to pull, but the right engine was having trouble to keep itself steady.
"Yikes!" gasped Annie. "The Rowdyruff Boys are driving Big Jet! They're making him pull harder!"
"Don't give up, Rocket!" Leo cheered. "Pull harder!"
[I'm trying!] Rocket jingled as he struggled to pull the star back from Big Jet. Big Jet is a very strong plane, but Rocket is strong, too. Both flying vehicles continued to pull the star, with their drivers fighting for control to keep the star in their grips. The only problem was that Big Jet's right engine continued to fail. It began to create sparks.
"Come on, bro! Make him pull harder!" Butch ordered.
"It's hard to do that, dude!" Brick replied.
"Come on, guys! Keep trying!" cheered Louie.
"Don't let that star get lost!" added Donald. "We can't let 'em get away with this!"
"Pull harder! Pull harder!" said Thomas. Rocket pulled and Big Jet tugged, but neither one of them still let go to take back the star. Big Jet's right engine was now getting worse and worse. Sparks flew and smoke billowed, but the blue airplane refused to give up.
"Come on! You can do it!" cheered Mouse.
"There's nothing that can stop you, Rocket!" added Sasquatch.
"You can do it!" said Zooter. Rocket heaved and pulled with all his strength he had never had before. Leo tugged on the controls to help Rocket pull the star. At last, Rocket managed to get the star off of Big Jet's hands, as the big blue airplane flew away after losing his grip.
"Rocket got the star back!" said June.
"You did it!" Dora and Boots said simultaniously.
"HOORAY!!!" everybody else cheered as they tooted their whistles and honked their horns.
"WHAT?! NO!!!" exclaimed the Rowdyruff Boys once they realized that their chasers got the star back. Then there was trouble. There was a loud hissing noise that was coming from Big Jet's right engine. Until... *BOOM!* Something exploded that caused the engine to spew out sparks.
"What in Oz was that?!" gasped Dorothy.
"That sound must've came from Big Jet!" gasped June. Everyone looked up to see what had happened to Big Jet. His right engine had failed after carrying the heavy star and was going out of control. Big Jet started to fly side to side. This made everyone worried.
"Uh-oh!" they said together.
Meanwhile, the Rowdyruff Boys felt the sudden movement of Big Jet. Brick tried to pilot Big Jet to regain control, but it didn't work. This made him frantic as he fought for control, but to no avail.
"Brick, what happened?!" asked Boomer.
"I don't know!" Brick replied. "I'm having trouble controlling Biggie!" Big Jet knew exactly what was the problem. He gasped.
[*gasp* Oh, no! One of my engines failed!] he cried. Before anybody could do anything, Big Jet's engine stared to spew out more sparks. Suddenly, the engine was starting up a sudden boost that made Big Jet spin round and round in circles. Without an engine to help him regain his balance, Big Jet was flying out of control! He was in a flat spin and he couldn't stop!
"Oh, no! Big Jet is in trouble!" gasped Annie.
"And so are the Rowdyruff Boys!" added Bubbles.
"HELP!!!" cried the Rowdyruff Boys as Big Jet spun in circles flying far away from Thomas and the others.
"Mr. Oliver, we have to go and rescue them!" said Toad. "If we don't save them now, something terrible might happen to them!"
"You're quite right, Toad!" agreed Oliver. "We have to hurry!"
"But how can we follow them?!" asked Cubby. "They're flying out of control so fast!"
"We'll have to find a shortcut!" said Thomas. "Bertie, the Kerwhizz racers, and the Wheelers can hurry back to Knapford to tell Mr. and Mrs. Loud about what has happened and bring in the others to help us, and Jenny, Patty, and the Powerpuff Girls can go to the Sodor Search and Rescue Centre and bring in more help! The rest of us will go after Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys if we can!" The others thought this was a great idea.
"Then let's do it!" said Wubbzy.
"We'll be back with Mr. and Mrs. loud in a couple of honks," said Bertie while honking his horn.
"Let's hurry to Knapford and tell them what happened!" said Kit. The other Kerwhizz racers and the Wheelers nodded in agreement and they all followed Bertie to drive back to Knapford Station. As soon as they left, the special friends hopped into their engine friends' cabs.
"Let's go and save them!" said Lily. "We can't let anything bad happen to them."
"You got that right, Lily!" agreed Thomas.
"Vámonos, amigos!" said Dora. "Let's save Big Jet and the boys!" Everyone agreed and were ready to go. The engines pumped their pistons and raced after Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys to rescue them. They head out through the icy tracks to find a shortcut that would lead them to the ones in trouble faster. Rocket, Wilhelmina, Lyman, Frank, and Vampirina flew after them to help them out. As they were heading through the tracks, Patty in her helicopter, Jenny, and the Powerpuff Girls flew their way towards the Sodor Search and Rescue Centre to get more help.
Location: Knapford Station
Meanwhile at Knapford Station, the engines and their special friends, along with the party guests, who were all left behind to stay and keep an eye on the place, were getting worried. It was getting late and the others had not yet come back with the star for the tree that was stolen by Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys.
"I wonder what's taking them so long," Robin wondered.
"I sure hope that they get the star back soon," said Baby Bop. "We can't start the party without them."
"I hear you, Baby Boppity Bop," agreed Riff. "The only thing we can do is wait for them, even though it's late at the moment."
"I really hope that they're okay..." sighed Ronnie Anne. "If they don't get the star back from Big Jet and the boys, we'll never have our Christmas party..."
"But why would they steal the star like that?" asked Marina. "It couldn't be that they did this without a reason. Somebody must've told them to do this in the first place." This made everyone concerned. They knew that Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys changed when they first arrived on Sodor, but they wanted to know why they would steal the star in the first place. Before they could come with any guesses, Bertie the Bus, the Kerwhizz racers, and the Wheelers arrived looking very worried. Everyone was surprised to see them.
"Bertie?! You're back?" gasped Rosie. "What happened?"
"We've got a big problem!" Bertie replied. "Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys are in trouble!" This made the others gasp in shock.
"What?!" exclaimed Scoop. "What do you mean?!"
"As we were trying to get the star back from Big Jet, it was too heavy for him to carry," Ninki explained. "After we got the star back, something went wrong with Big Jet's right engine. Before we knew it, the engine malfunctioned and now he's spinning out of control!"
"We have a feeling that he's going to crash somewhere!" added Twist. "If we don't stop them in time, there will be a terrible accident!"
"Don't worry, you guys!" said Rosie. "We'll all help you save them!"
"Those boys may be in big trouble for stealing that star with Big Jet, but when they are in serious trouble, we have to hurry!" said Darby.
"So, we're all going to help you save them!" added Jack. This made Bertie, the Kerwhizz racers, and the Wheelers very happy.
"We KNEW we could count on you guys!" said Bungo.
"Now, let's go and save them!" said Ellyvan.
"We'll go with you guys to keep an eye on the road and the tracks if they crash there somewhere," said Rita Loud. "Right, honey?"
"Of course, sweetie," replied her husband and they both got into Bertie before he and his allies hurried out of Knapford Station. Then the remaining special friends, along with the party guests, got into the remaining engines to get themselves ready to leave the station.
"Is everybody ready to go?" asked Bob.
"We sure are!" they replied.
"Super-dee-duper!" said Barney. "Let's go!"
"Can we save them?" asked Scoop.
"Yes, we can!" replied the other machines from Bob's construction crew.
"Er, yeah, I think so!" said Lofty.
"Let's hurry and get going!" said Ms. Jenny. "Follow Bertie and the others!" With those in mind, the remaining engines and their special friends, along with the party guests, hurried out of Knapford Station to follow Bertie and his allies to where Thomas and the others were located. They had to get over there quickly in order to save Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys before it's too late.
Location: Sodor Search and Rescue Centre
At the Sodor Search and Rescue Centre, Harold the Helicopter just got back after searching for the missing decorations. So far, he had no luck and decided to take a rest here. He was chatting with a good friend of the steam team, Maggie Pesky, who was invited to go to the party at Knapford, but had a lot of work to do here are the Search and Rescue Centre. After she was done, she decided to take a break before leaving for the party by passing the time in talking with Harold.
"Are you excited for the party, Harold?" asked Maggie. "I can't wait to perform my rock music with Ami and Yumi. I also heard that other rock bands, such as the Ghoul Girls and the Wiggles, are going to perform with Ami and Yumi as well."
"I heard a lot about it, old chap," replied Harold. "But I have also been searching around the island for the missing decorations that disappeared from the Docks, but I haven't found them anywhere."
"That's a shame," sighed Maggie. "Well, I'm sure you'll find them another time." Harold was glad to have someone like Maggie, including his other friends, to know that he was still being really useful, no matter what happened. Plus, he knew that he shouldn't give up. But before he was about to leave to continue his search, he and Maggie suddenly look up to see who was coming down to the Search and Rescue Centre. It was Patty in her helicopter, Jenny, and the Powerpuff Girls, and they were very worried.
"Mayday, mayday!" cried Jenny. "We have an emergency!"
"What's wrong?" asked Maggie.
"The Rowdyruff Boys and Big Jet are in trouble!" said Bubbles. "They were carrying the heavy star for so long, one of the blue airplane's engines failed! Now Big Jet is in a flat spin with the boys in the cockpit! They're going to crash if we don't save them in time!"
"Can you help us save them?" asked Blossom. "We need all the help we can get!" Harold and Maggie were worried about Big Jet and the boys. Harold remembered how much of a teammate Big Jet was throughout their days around the island. He even remembered their race against Percy, Dora, Boots, Lincoln, and the Little Einsteins, from which the latter group won as he and the blue airplane were trying to land. He even remembered helping Percy, Dora, and Boots when they were in a flood and also when they, along with Lincoln and the Little Einstiens, helped them after they got stuck in a haystack due to carrying heavy nets of mail. Hearing that his friend was in trouble made him worried, especially when he felt like history was repeating himself when Bubbles mentioned Big Jet carrying the star that was very heavy and caused his engine failure to begin with. Maggie knew about how troublesome the Rowdyruff Boys were, which reminded her about the time she arrived her on Sodor the first time with Billy, and was a bit rude to Thomas and Lincoln, but eventually they both learned their lesson and became friends with them. It was just like how good the Rowdyruff Boys had become after they reformed like Big Jet. But after hearing that they were in big trouble made her worried. So, they both decided to help.
"We'll be glad to be of service, girls!" said Harold.
"Let's hurry and save them!" added Maggie. This made the other girls happy to have their help. With that, they all flew out of the Sodor Search and Rescue Centre and Harold and Maggie followed the other girls to where the engines and their special friends were. They had to hurry because there wasn't much time left.
Location: Near the Dieselworks
Back with Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys, the blue airplane was still in a flat spin due to the failed engine. To make matters worse, Big Jet's left engine received a flameout after he spun around for too long. Now that he only had one engine that wasn't working properly, there was nothing he could do to stop in time as his flat spin continued. Brick tried to get his control back on Big Jet, but nothing worked.
[HELP!!! I CAN'T STOP SPINNING!!!] Big Jet exclaimed. [I'M GETTING DIZZY!!!]
"BROS, I'M LOSING CONTROL!!! I'M LOSING CONTROL!!!" cried Brick. "I CAN'T CONTROL BIGGIE!!! HE WON'T RECOVER!!!"
"NOT GOOD!!! NOT GOOD!!!" Boomer exclaimed.
"IF WE DON'T STOP, WE MIGHT CRASH INTO SOMETHING!!!" added Butch. "SOMEONE!!! ANYONE!!! HELP!!!" Without his engines in working order, Big Jet was still out of control and couldn't stop. The Rowdyruff Boys felt like they were going to throw up as they were getting dizzy too. Just then, the Little Einsteins in Rocket, Wilhelmina, Frank, Lyman, and Vampirina, flew as fast as they could to catch up to the runaway airplane.
"Hang on, boys! We're coming to help you!" said Wilhelmina.
"Don't worry, Big Jet! We're going to save you!" said Annie, but they were too far away to make it.
"We're not fast enough to make it!" gasped Vampirina tiredly. "They're too far away!"
"But we can't give up!" said Leo. "We have to save them no matter what!"
"The kid's right," said Lyman. "Let's try going faster to catch up to them!" With that, they continued to fly towards their friends as fast as they could. But they were still too far away to make it.
Down below, the engines and their special friends raced along the tracks to find a shortcut that would lead them to Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys. But whenever they approached a junction, they couldn't find the big blue airplane anywhere. They tried taking routes through the tracks, but no matter where they went, they still couldn't find Big Jet. This made them very worried.
"I don't see him anywhere," said Widget.
"He has to be somewhere," said Nature Cat. "We have to keep looking."
"Let's try this way!" said Thomas as they soon came cross another siding. But after they were sent down the line, they still couldn't find Big Jet anywhere.
"Ah, that airplane's not here!" said Donald.
"Double drats!" grunted Wonder Red. "We'll never find him now!" But then, everyone heard the sound of an engine roaring and sparks flying, along with the screams of boys. They stopped and looked up to see Big Jet still spinning out of control to the right.
"Bubbling boilers!" gasped Henry. "There's Big Jet!"
"And the Rowdyruff Boys are still trapped in him!" said Molly.
"Which means that we haven't lost them," said Kai-Lan. "They're going that way to the right." But that made Thomas worried.
"Cinders and ashes!" he cried. "That way leads to the Dieselworks! They're going to crash there!" Now the others were more worried about them. They didn't want the blue airplane nor the boys to crash there and be in more trouble after that.
"Oh my peas!" gasped Princess Pea. "If we don't stop them in time, they'll be taking serious injuries! We have to hurry!" The others couldn't agree with her more and hurried along the tracks. They soon found another junction and this time turned right to the direction of the Dieselworks, where Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys were heading.
Up above, Harold, Maggie, Patty, Jenny, and the Powerpuff Girls watched around the skies to find the runaway airplane where the boys are trapped him. They had been searching around for a few minutes and couldn't find them anywhere. That was until they suddenly heard the sound of something roaring like the wind and the screaming of boys. They quickly looked down and saw Big Jet still spinning out of control due to his failed engine, and the screams were the Rowdyruff Boys still trapped in his cockpit.
"Look! There's Big Jet!" said Jenny.
"And the Rowdyruff Boys too!" added Buttercup.
"Patty, where are they heading to?" asked Maggie. Patty looked at the radar in her helicopter and spotted where Big Jet was heading. Once she figured out where they were heading, she became frantic.
"Oh, no!" she gasped. "They're going to crash at the Dieselworks!" This made the others worried as well.
"Crikey!" exclaimed Jenny. "If we don't stop them, there's going to be even more trouble!"
"Then we have to hurry and stop them before they cause an accident!" said Blossom.
"Then let us whirr like the wind and help them quickly!" said Harold. With the others agreeing on that, they all flew towards the runaway blue airplane to rescue him and the Rowdyruff Boys from crashing. If they didn't make it time, there will be big consequences.
Big Jet didn't know how long he was spinning. He didn't even know when he was going to stop. He kept going in a flat spin and was still getting dizzy. Whenever Brick still tried to get control back, he just couldn't due to the flat spin Big Jet was still in right now. Rocket, Wilhelmina, Frank, Lyman, and Vampirina were getting tired. Not only that, but the star was too heavy for Rocket to carry, and he couldn't puff any longer.
"Uh-oh. Rocket and the others are getting tired," said Quincy. "We're too far away to make it! And the star is too heavy for Rocket to carry."
"We'll just have to go back to the others and hope that Patty, Jenny, and the Powerpuff Girls get some more help for us," said Leo. Wearily, the others agreed and flew down to go back to their friends back down on the tracks, knowing that they were out of luck in getting to Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys.
The engines were still on their way to the Dieselworks. They knew that if they didn't make it in time, there would be a big accident if Big Jet crashed there. Just then, they saw Rocket, Wilhelmena, Frank, Lyman, and Vampirina coming down.
"What happened?" asked Boots.
"We couldn't make it," said Wilhelmena. "They're too far away for us."
"And the star is too heavy for Rocket," said June.
"Don't worry," said Percy. "We're still on our way to the Dieselworks. Follow us!" As the engines pumped their pistons, their flying friends followed them to the direction as to where they were going. Then they saw a junction that lead to the Dieselworks on the left. They took the left track and went towards the Dieselworks.
Location: The Dieselworks
Once they made it to the Dieselworks, everyone stopped. Everything around the works was quiet. There wasn't a sound to be heard, which meant that they made it first and Big Jet had not yet arrived for a crash landing. But the quiet didn't last long when the engines and their friends heard footsteps coming closer. Three shadowed figures came out of the Dieselworks and then revealed as to who they were. This made the engines and their friends gasp.
"The Wicked Witch!" exclaimed Dorothy as Toto growled.
"A-Auntie?!" gasped Wilhelmena.
"Boss?!" said Frank and Lyman together.
"Cozy Glow!" exclaimed the Mane Six.
"And Glomgold!" snorted Scrooge. The three villains snorted crossly at their enemies.
"What is the meaning of this, Scroogy?" asked Glomgold. "What are you lot doing here in this place? This is our turf and you don't belong here! Get lost!"
"Ay, such a feisty one ya are!" snorted Douglas.
"What's going on is none of your business, Glomgold!" Scrooge replied. "Now get out of here now!"
"Who says you're the one to let us leave our turf!" Cozy Glow snapped. "We LIVE here, and it would be best for you to get out of our way!"
"YOUR way?!" exclaimed Rainbow Dash. "You're in grave danger!"
"And what makes you say that, Dashie?" Cozy Glow asked.
"Don't you get it?!" said Wilhelmina. "Big Jet is going to crash here at the Dieselworks! You have to leave!" But the Witch was cross with her niece once she told her that.
"You dare say that to your aunt?" she snapped. "You were supposed to help us with our problem, and you instead went to your silly little party with that ruby slippers girl!" Thomas was cross when the witch called Dorothy that.
"Why can't you just listen to us about what we're telling you?!" he huffed. "Besides, your niece is right! You need to-"
"INCOMING!!!" yelled Alpha Pig, pointing up at where he was looking at. Everybody turned to see that it was Big Jet, still spinning out of control and was heading right for the Dieselworks. But since he was going so fast, he couldn't stop in time!
"Zoinks!!! That blue airplane is coming down!" cried Shaggy.
"He's going to crash! He's going to crash!" exclaimed Boots. Dorothy rushed up to the side of Thomas and waved her arms high in the air. Dora went next to her friend and did the same thing.
"STOP!!! STOP!!!" Dorothy cried.
"PARA!!!" added Dora, but Big Jet still couldn't stop. He kept spinning around and around and flew faster and faster. Harold, Maggie, Patty, Jenny, and the Powerpuff Girls flew after them as fast as they could, but it wasn't fast enough for them to make it.
[I CAN'T STOP SPINNING, BOYS!!! I CAN'T OPEN MY CANOPY LIKE THIS!!!] Big Jet told to the Rowdyruff Boys. [YOU HAVE TO GET OUT OF HERE NOW!!! PULL THE EJECTION HANDLE AND THEN FLY OUT OF HERE!!!] This made the Rowdyruff Boys worried. If they were to get away, they would leave their friend behind.
"What?! But what about you, Biggie?!" asked Boomer.
"We can't leave you behind!" added Brick.
[DON'T WORRY ABOUT ME!] Big Jet replied. [JUST PULL THE EJECTION HANDLE AND GO!!!] With nothing but tears in their sockets. the Rowdyruff Boys prepared for the worst. As Brick pulled the ejection handle as hard as he could, Big Jet's canopy swung open. After that, the Rowdyruff Boys quickly flew out of the blue airplane just in time. Big Jet still spun around and around straight towards the Dieselworks. Harold, Maggie, Patty, Jenny, and the Powerpuff Girls saw what happened and continued to fly towards Big Jet.
"Big Jet, LOOK OUT!!!" cried Jenny, but it was too late. With a mighty crash, Big Jet broke through the wall of the Dieselworks and stopped right on the turntable. Luckily, no one was hurt, but poor Big Jet was in a terrible mess. The streamers were torn, the baubles were smashed, and worst of all, the Christmas tree was destroyed. Diesel 10 came out of the shadows along with the other diesels and their villainous friends. Everyone looked down at Big Jet and were very cross, except for Splatter, Dodge, Den, Dart, Dennis, Norman, Paxton, and Sidney.
"Look what you've done!" Diesel 10 snapped.
"Now we'll never have our Christmas party because of you!" shouted Tirek.
"I KNEW I should have never trusted you and those little boys for this!" said Morbucks. "Everything is ruined!"
"You should be ashamed of yourself, you big blue airplane!" scoffed Queen Chrysalis. Big Jet felt worse than ever. He knew that Christmas had been ruined for everyone and it was all his fault...
Notes:
We've reached a cliffhanger, folks. I was originally going to make this longer, but I decided to wait until the last chapter. Now, from here, we had a lot of action and a rescue mission that ended up failing. And now, the Christmas decorations in the Dieselworks are ruined. The question is what is going to happen to Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys once they found out about what they had done? Well, all will be revealed in the final chapter of this short Christmas story. With that being said, stay tuned for the final chapter and have a nice day.
Chapter 5: A Gift to Remember
Summary:
Last time, the chase for the stolen star continued. Rocket and Big Jet pulled with all their might to see who would be the one to take the star for themselves. Rocket was successful and Big Jet flew away after losing his prize, causing the Rowdyruff Boys to complain that they lost the star. Unfortunately, trouble came by when Big Jet's right engine suddenly failed and activated a sudden boost that caused the blue airplane to spin out of control and he couldn't stop. Brick tried his best to regain control, but it was no use. Everyone gathered the others to come by and help the runaway blue airplane and the Rowdyruff Boys trapped in his cockpit. As the engines and their special friends, along with Harold, Maggie, Patty, Jenny, and the Powerpuff Girls, headed straight to the Dieselworks, Thomas and his friends tried to tell the Witch, Cozy Glow, and Flintheart Glomgold about what was happening. But the three villains didn't listen and it was too late. As Brick, Butch, and Boomer safely got out of Big Jet's cockpit by pulling the ejection handle, Big Jet crashed into the Dieselworks, causing all of the decorations and the Christmas tree to be ruined. With nothing but a mess, what will happen next?
Notes:

Chapter Text
Location: The Dieselworks
The bad diesels and their villainous friends were very cross with Big Jet after he crashed into the Dieselworks and ruined all of the decorations, including the Christmas tree. Big Jet felt bad about what he did. All he wanted was to help them out after he and the Rowdyruff Boys saw how sad they were for missing the star on their Christmas tree for their party. But now that they were all ruined, he didn't know what to do. Not only that, but he also made his friends chase after him and the boys for the star. Just then, Brick, Butch, and Boomer flew into the Dieselworks and hurried over to their big blue airplane friend and saw that he was in a terrible mess.
"Biggie! Biggie, are you okay?!" asked Brick.
[I think so...] Big Jet groaned. [But I wish I could say the same about my engine...] As soon as he said that, the Rowdyruff Boys looked at the back of Big Jet and saw his right engine still flicking with flames as more sparks flew out of it. With a final flameout on that engine, Big Jet broke down. This made the boys feel very sad. But it only got worse when the villains approached them, along with a few of the diesels. Now the boys were scared, but Big Jet only looked at the diesels and their villainous friends in shame.
"I hope you realized the damage you have done here!" said the Witch.
"Thanks to your reckless actions, our party is ruined!" added Magica. "We only asked you to bring us a star for our tree, and now the tree is destroyed!"
"No wonder it's such a bother that you all never do anything right when you are with us," complained 'Arry. "Maybe if you continued your ways like we did, you wouldn't mess anything up!"
"You guys are an absolute disgrace!" added Bert.
"B-But it wasn't our fault!" stuttered Boomer.
"Then who had the brightest idea to allow one big blue airplane to crash into the Dieselworks to begin with?" asked Mojo. "Yes, it was you who didn't gain full control on Big Jet, because your only job was to carry the star back to the Dieselworks, unaware of the fact that it was heavy, which caused Big Jet's engine to fail, and then you never even attempted to try to help him as much as you could because you boys are always so dumb and slow to think properly, therefore making YOU responsible for wrecking the Dieselworks!"
"Not only that, but you lousy brats can't think about what to do next now that your airplane friend is stuck here!" added Captain Hook. "Right, Smee?"
"A-Aye aye, s-sir..." Mr. Smee reluctantly replied.
"Now tell me this, Big Jet and Rowdyruff Boys," said Diesel 10. "What are you even going to do next now that you have a big mess to clean up? Oh, wait, I already know the answer to that! You cannot! Because YOU are useless!" The others crossly agreed with Diesel 10, except for Mr. Smee, Splatter, Dodge, Den, Dart, Dennis, Norman, Paxton, and Sidney. Just then, they all heard the sounds of wheels turning and engines puffing. They all turned to see the other engines, along with their special friends, coming into the Dieselworks and inspected the damage of what had happened. They couldn't believe of how badly the Dieselworks had ended up.
"Cinders and ashes!" gasped Thomas. "What happened to the Dieselworks?!"
"It's in a big mess!" said Gil. "This is worse than a few other messes I have seen before."
"My my my!" said Walden. "This mess is terrible."
"I'm guessing that when Big Jet's engine failed and he went out of control, there was nothing he could do to stop in time," said Emily. "It's going to take a while for the Dieselworks to be repaired."
"Well, that wasn't supposed to happen," said Widget. Just then, Sir Topham Hatt stepped out of Thomas' cab and approached the Rowdyruff Boys and Big Jet while the villains stepped aside, he was very cross.
"Uh-oh..." the boys said simultaneously.
"Big Jet and Rowdyruff Boys, what were you four doing?!" boomed Sir Topham Hatt sternly. "I asked you to invite other engines and their friends to the Christmas party at Knapford Station, but you instead stole the star that was for the tree! Then you tried to get away with it and stopped my engines by messing around with a signal box! And now, the Dieselworks is in bad shape! You have caused confusion and delay!" Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys felt terrible. They knew that Sir Topham Hatt was right, but they also had to tell them the truth about their reason.
[We're sorry, sir. We didn't know that the star we took was for the tree at Knapford Station,] said Big Jet. [We just wanted to help the diesels and their friends in the Dieselworks when we were about to invite them to the party. They were trying to have a party in here when they didn't receive any decorations for the place.]
"A-And their tree was also missing a star!" Butch butted in. "Since it's Christmas, we just wanted to help them since they were feeling a little sad for not getting anything."
"Although we did tease them a little bit and we didn't trust them at first, Biggie told us to give them a chance so that we can all celebrate Christmas together," added Boomer.
"So, we found the star and tried to take it all the way over here, but our friends were chasing us," Brick added. "They kept telling us to give them back the star, but we didn't listen and continued on our way to the Dieselworks. The reason why we kept stopping them was because we didn't want them to know about us helping Diesel 10, Mojo, and the others with their party. Because if we did, they would get suspicious and even a bit cross with us." The other engines and their friends were surprised when they heard Brick saying about not mentioning the diesels and their villainous friends and wanting to help them despite their differences.
[But after they got the star back, I didn't notice until too late that my right engine failed and I was in a flat spin,] said Big Jet. [I couldn't stop when I was out of control and told the boys to save themselves by pulling the ejection handle to manually open up my canopy so that they could get out of my cockpit. Unfortunately, because I was out of control and couldn't stop spinning, I crashed into the Dieselworks and ruined all of the decorations. All we wanted was to give everyone a great Christmas... But now, this Christmas has been a catastrophe...and it's all my fault...] He looked around and saw all of the Christmas decorations still in bad shape. It made him feel even more guilty than before. Then he saw the star next to Rocket, who just landed and brought the Little Einsteins out to see the disaster. [Now that I think about it, maybe taking a star from another tree wasn't such a good idea after all...] he sighed and the Rowdyruff Boys sadly nodded in agreement.
"Ya think?!" Gretchen snorted.
"Actually, how DID the decorations get here in the first place?" asked Brick. "I thought Knapford Station was supposed to have more of them instead of here."
"Come to think of it, I remember that there were trucks of decorations me, Izzy, Cubby, Skully, and Salty shunted at the Docks," said Jake. "What happened to them?" Diesel 10 looked side to side nervously, but Splatter was the first to tell him.
"I think you should tell the truth, boss," he said. "Just like what that blue airplane and his boys did." Diesel 10 clanked his claw crossly, but he knew that it was the only right thing to do. With that, he looked down towards Sir Topham Hatt, the engines, and their friends.
"Um, sir... If I may interrupt... I know what happened to the decorations that were missing at the Docks," he said, but the villains looked at him with worry.
"What are you doing?" Morbucks whispered. "Are you trying to get us in trouble?"
"Don't say another word!" Cozy Glow snapped, but Diesel 10 refused to listen to them. Instead, he had to do what was right.
"Sir...it was me who stole the decorations," he admitted. "I ordered 'Arry and Bert to take the trucks from the Docks and bring them here. Nobody ever comes here to help us at the Dieselworks, because we thought that the steamies and their friends are better than us. We also wanted Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys to help us so that we can return the favor in helping them invite others for their party." Everyone gasped in shock.
"So, it was that big diesel that stole the decorations with his friends!" snapped Donald Duck crossly. "Why I outta!"
"Well, bless me bagpipes!" said Scrooge. "No wonder Thomas and the others didnae arrive with them!"
"That was just very naughty!" said Luan Loud and the other engines and their special friends agreed crossly, including Wilhelmina, Buttsquat, Suzi, Frank, and Lyman. Now the diesels and the villains were worried about what Sir Topham Hatt would say. They found out soon enough.
"I am very disappointed in all of you!" Sir Topham Hatt told them. "You know that it was not nice of you to steal something that doesn't belong to you. Not only that, but you are the reason why Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys were not being useful for the party. For your punishment, you must return the decorations to Knapford Station at once!"
"Yes, sir..." the diesels and their villainous friends replied. Then Sir Topham Hatt looked at Splatter, Dodge, Den, Dart, Paxton, Dennis, Norman, Sidney, and Mr. Smee.
"Even though you were not exactly a part of this, I need you to help the other engines make final preparations for the party at Knapford Station," he told them. "After you are done, you can join the party with us." This made the eight friendly diesels and Mr. Smee very happy.
"Of course, sir!" they replied happily. Finally, Sir Topham Hatt looked back to Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys.
"Now that you four have told the truth and it wasn't entirely your fault, you must go to the Steamworks where you will be fixed," he said. "I'm not sure how long your engines will get back to working order again, Big Jet, but once you are fixed, you can help us in putting the star back on the tree where it belongs." Now Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys didn't feel sad anymore.
"Yes, sir! We'll do that, sir!" they replied. Just then, everyone heard more chugging noises along with the honking of horns. They all turned to see the other remaining engines and their other friends coming to the Dieselworks, including the Sodor Construction Company, Bob's Construction Crew, Bertie the Bus, and all of his friends. They were very surprised to see what had happened to the Dieselworks.
"Fumbling fenders!" gasped Spencer. "What a mess!"
"I've never seen something this messy before," added Scrambler.
"It's going to take a while to clean it up!" said Maggie.
"*chuckle* Don't worry, everyone," said Barney. "When there is a mess, it's always best to clean it up!"
"Barney's right," said BJ. "We'll all help clean up this mess and bring all the decorations back to Knapford."
"Now that's what I'm talking about, Beej!" agreed Riff. This made everyone very happy, including the bad diesels and their villainous friends. They knew that it was best to work together as a team to clean this mess up.
"Let's rock and roll!" Roley and Nia said together in sync. Soon everybody worked together to clean up the mess around the Dieselworks. The engines collected the trucks and Diesel 10, Lofty, Scoop, Jack, Alfie, Oliver the Extractor, Scoop. Muck, and Lofty placed the decorations in them one by one. After they were filled, everybody left the Dieselworks back to Knapford Station to put them all in place. The diesels and their friends followed them to help after learning their lesson to never steal anything ever again like last time. Only the broken down Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys were left behind, but they were not alone. Leo, June, Quincy, Annie, Rocket, Blossom, Buttercup, and Bubbles decided to stay with them and keep them company while Edward went to the Sodor Search and Rescue Centre to pick up Rocky.
"Don't worry, boys," said Blossom. "Everything's going to be okay. Edward is on his way to get Rocky. He'll lift Big Jet on a flatbed and then Edward will take you to the Steamworks."
"Thanks, babe," Brick replied. "I just hope that Edward comes back in time, because Biggie is in really bad shape." And he was right. Big Jet couldn't turn his engines back on again as they only coughed and spluttered. Big Jet was very sad.
[I wish I told you guys about what happened to the diesels and their friends in the first place,] he said solemnly. [But even if I did, they would also end up in trouble for stealing the decorations in the first place.] The Rowdyruff Boys only nodded in agreement and looked down in shame. The others felt bad for Big Jet and the three brothers.
"It's not your fault, Big Jet. You and the Rowdyruff Boys just wanted to help them," said June. "While you did steal the star that was for the tree at Knapford Station, none of you understood that and didn't even try to listen."
"But that was because you were only worried about the diesels and their friends," added Quincy. "If anything, we're proud that you were trying to help them."
"But maybe you should have asked us first and then we would have done something to help them instead of stealing that star," said Buttercup.
"Yeah, you're right..." agreed Butch. "But you know what we can be like..." Everyone laughed, even Big Jet. Just then, they heard a "Peep! Peep!" of a whistle. It was Edward. He had just arrived back at the Dieselworks with Rocky. There was also a flatbed right in front of him.
"I'm back!" Edward declared. "And I brought Rocky!"
"Hi, Rocky!" greeted the Little Einsteins, Rocket, the Powerpuff Girls, and the Rowdyruff Boys.
"Hello, kids!" Rocky replied before turning to Big Jet. "Don't you worry, Big Jet, I'll have you on this flatbed and then Edward will take you to the Steamworks to fix your engines."
[That would be appreciated,] said Big Jet. [Thanks.] Once Big Jet was carefully hooked up to Rocky, Rocky lifted the blue airplane off of the turntable and gently lowered him on the flatbed. But Big Jet was very heavy and Edward wasn't strong enough to pull both him and Rocky at the same time. So Rocky was uncoupled from the flatbed and Edward brought him back to the Sodor Search and Rescue Centre, while the Little Einsteins, Rocket, the Powerpuff Girls, and the Rowdyruff Boys continued to keep the blue airplane some company.
"Are you going to be comfortable on that flatbed?" asked Bubbles.
[I think so,] Big jet replied. [As long as I get my engines fixed, I'll be glad to help you put the star back on the tree as a way of saying sorry for taking it.]
"Same goes for us, too," Boomer added and his brothers nodded in agreement.
"Don't worry," said Bubbles. "I'm sure the others will forgive you along with the diesels and their villainous friends, including Mojo Jojo and Princess Morbucks." This made Big Jet, Brick, Butch, and Boomer very relieved. They were glad to have their friends make them feel better. Just then, they heard a "Whoop! Whoop!" of another whistle. It was Henry, who was sent to collect Big Jet and take him to the Steamworks.
"Sir Topham Hatt asked me to tell you guys that he wanted to see you," Henry told to the Little Einsteins, Rocket, the Powerpuff Girls, and the Rowdyruff Boys.
"Really?" said Leo.
"Yes," replied Henry. "Now come on! He's waiting for us at the Steamworks." They all nodded in agreement to follow Henry to the Steamworks. After Henry was buffered up to the flatbed, he chuffed away to take Big Jet to the Steamworks, while the Powerpuff Girls and the Rowdyruff Boys followed them. The Little Einsteins hopped aboard Rocket and followed their friends to go the Steamworks.
Location: The Steamworks
At the Steamworks, everything was still bustling with activity. Sparks flew and cogs creaked. Victor, Kevin, Wenda, Wu, and Wes were all hard and work to keep the Steamworks busy. Victor and Kevin had also heard about what had happened to Big Jet thanks to Wenda, Wu, and Wes for telling them and hoped that the blue airplane wouldn't feel miserable for too long. Just then, Henry chuffed in with Big Jet on his flatbed. Behind them were the Powerpuff Girls, the Rowdyruff Boys, and the Little Einteins in Rocket. The latter group got out of the rocket ship and walked up to Victor and the others. Sir Topham Hatt was waiting for them.
"Here he is, sir," said Henry. "I brought Big Jet."
"Thank you, Henry," Sir Topham Hatt replied before turning to the Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys. "Now, you four, I know that you were still responsible for stealing the star, but now everyone is working very hard to put the decorations around Knapford Station. Once you are fixed, Big Jet, I have an important job for you."
[What's that, sir?] asked Big Jet.
"As I have told you earlier, I would like you to help Rocket put the star back on the tree and we'll start the party," said Sir Topham Hatt. "The Powerpuff Girls and the Rowdyruff Boys will help you and Rocket." This made Big Jet very happy, and so were the boys.
"Thank you, sir!" they said together.
"And while you are getting fixed," continued Sir Topham Hatt, "the Little Einsteins will fly with Rocket to invite more guests for the party in your stead, and the Powerpuff Girls will be helping them out."
"Of course we can do that, sir!" said Leo.
[No problem!] chimed Rocket. Then Sir Topham Hatt left, but Big Jet was starting to feel sad again. The others could see that.
"Is something wrong, Biggie?" asked Boomer.
[*sigh* I'm not sure how long I will be fixed...] Big Jet sighed. [Maybe I might miss the Christmas party after all. Maybe Sir Topham Hatt was just saying things to make me feel better.]
"Don't say it that way, Big Jet," said Victor. "Sir Topham Hatt was being sincere with what he said. Besides, fixing your engines will only take you a few minutes."
"And we'll help to make sure that you'll never break down ever again," added Wes.
"Absolutely!" Wenda and Wu said together. Now Big Jet didn't feel miserable anymore, since Victor told him that fixing his engines would only take him a few minutes.
"We'll stay here with ya to keep you company, Biggie!" said Brick. "If you want it, that is."
[Yeah, thanks,] Big Jet replied happily.
"We'll see you at the party, Big Jet," said June. "Get well soon." Secretly, she had an idea that would be the best present for Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys.
"Don't forget about the star," added Annie before giving Big Jet a hug, from which the blue airplane happily replied with his own. After he was taken out from the flatbed, Henry chuffed away from the Steamworks to return back to Knapford Station, taking the empty flatbed with him to leave it back at the Docks. The Little Einsteins soon hopped aboard Rocket and flew away with the Powerpuff Girls to invite more guests for the party.
"Don't you worry, Big Jet," said Wu. "I'm sure your engines will be fixed in no time!"
"Just make sure you never carry something heavy like a big star again," said Wenda.
[Noted,] Big Jet replied. Just then, Kevin trundled up with tools to help fix Big Jet's engines. But when he stopped, some of them slipped out again.
"Oh, Kevin!" Victor sighed.
"Not again..." Wes grumbled.
"Sorry, boss," Kevin started, "just a slip of the-"
"Hook," Wenda interrupted. "*sigh* We know." Soon, Big Jet was having his engines fixed. The Rowdyruff Boys decided to tell him lots of jokes that would make him laugh, which they did. Big Jet was happy to have the Rowdyruff Boys keep him company, including the Little Einsteins. He was happy that his friends were doing a great job inviting more guests for the party for him. As he waited, he didn't feel sad anymore. In fact, he felt very comfortable and pleased to have company.
Location: Knapford Station
A few minutes later...
When Big Jet's engines were fixed, he and the Rowdyruff Boys flew into Knapford Station, just in time for the Christmas party to finally begin. This time, a lot more engines and their friends had arrived to celebrate the party. There was Jay Jay the Jet Plane and all his friends from Tarrytown, Gumball Watterson and his family and friends from Elmore, and more! There was also friends of the Super Readers from Storybook Village, such as Sleeping Beauty, Peter Piper, and much much more! Everyone was happy to see Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys come back from the Steamworks to make it for the Christmas party. Everyone cheered, tooted their whistles, and honked their horns to welcome the big blue airplane and the brothers back to the party. This made them very happy.
"We're glad to have you guys back for the party!" said Leo.
"Despite the fact that you stole the star from the tree," added Samuel. "My brother and sister told me all about it."
[Yeah, sorry about that,] Big Jet apologized. [We just wanted to cheer up the diesels and their friends for not having enough decorations for their party. How are they doing by the way?]
"They're doing alright," said JC. "They helped us put all of the decorations back around the station."
"That's good to hear," said Brick. Just then, Sir Topham Hatt, Lynn Loud Sr., and Rita Loud all came up next to the tree to give an announcement.
"Attention everyine," Sir Topham Hatt said. "We would like to inform you that we appreciate your patience after a minor delay. I am happy to see that we are all pleased to have everyone together for our Christmas party again."
"And, we would also like to thank Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys for owning up to their mistakes after a misunderstanding," said Lynn Loud Sr. "While they were intending to give something to the diesels and their villainous friends, it was still not nice on their part to steal something that was already being used."
"But now that we decided to allow the diesels and their friends to come over the party, we would also like to give Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys a very special surprise!" said Rita Loud before turning over to June. "June, if you would please?" June smiled and happily skipped her way to the Loud parents and Sir Topham Hatt.
"Thank you, Mrs. Loud," she said before turning to face Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys. "We think that you deserve something special after realizing that what you did was wrong. In fact, before we left the Steamworks, I asked Sir Topham Hatt to call someone to come over for the party, and he agreed to do that. He will be arriving any second now." This made Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys curious as to what June was telling them. Just then, everybody heard the sounds of jingle bells along with a jolly good laugh.
"Ho ho ho!"
Everyone gasped when they looked up to see a big, giant sled being pulled by reindeers. The engines hooted and tooted when they saw their special guests coming down. Once the sled came down next to the three, the first one to come down was a jolly bearded man with a red outfit and a big red hat. Next to him was a young girl, a little elf, a small young reindeer, friendly fox, and a playful polar bear.
"It's Santa!" Percy gasped. Just then, the young girl next to Santa soon saw June and was very happy.
"June!" she exclaimed as she rushed to her and hugged her tightly. June was happy to have her best friend come for Christmas after inviting her and the others.
"Heh heh. Nice to see you again, Sophiana," she said. "I'm so happy that you made it for the party."
"So am I," Sophiana agreed. "Speaking of which, where's Sleeping Beauty?"
"I'm right here," Sleeping Beauty replied as she walked up to her two best friends. "I'm so glad that you made it. June was kind enough to invite you."
"She sure was!" Sophiana agreed. "I would never DREAM of missing a Christmas party!" Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys were in deep shock. They couldn't believe that June invited Santa Claus and his friends to the party. It was like a dream come true and they felt very happy.
[You brought Santa himself to the party?!] Big Jet exclaimed.
"Of course, I did," June replied. "Me and my friends went with Sir Topham Hatt to his office to make a phone call all the way to the North Pole and I asked Sophiana to invite Santa and the others to come here to the party. Once they agreed, I wanted to surprise you by having him come over. It's your present from us to you." Big Jet was so happy he felt like his engines would burst with joy. Just then, Santa walked up next to him and the Rowdyruff Boys.
"Big Jet, Brick, Butch, and Boomer, I know how naughty you four have been when you stole the star from this tree," he said. "But you have also learned your lesson and were only trying to help the diesels and their friends with their party, and that is what also makes you nice. Just remember that if anybody needs help, you should always ask your friends first to help you deal with their problems and that there won't be any accidents."
"June told us what had happened when one of your engines failed, Big Jet," said Sophiana. "It's a good thing that you and the boys are safe and sound."
"Yeah, we're glad to hear that, too," agreed Boomer before he, his brothers, and Big Jet turned to face their friends.
"Guys, we just want to say that we're sorry for taking the star," said Brick. "All we just wanted was to help the diesels and their friends because they were feeling left out. But we all wanted to make it up to you and have our party together here at Knapford."
[So, we're going to help Rocket put the star back on the tree,] said Big Jet. [Right, Rocket?]
[Of course!] Rocket chimed in reply. Together, the two flying vehicles carried the star and gently placed it back on top of the tree. Due to the fact that it was heavy, with both of them working together, it was no problem at all. Soon, the star was back on the tree safely and everyone cheered.
"Hooray!" they said. "Hooray!" Rocket and Big Jet hi-fived each other for working together in placing the star back on the tree. They soon hovered down back to their friends and the Little Einsteins all hugged their big blue airplane friend.
"We knew you would still help us out in the end," said Quincy.
"You're always our friend and a member of our team," added Annie. Big Jet felt proud. Then the Powerpuff Girls hovered next to the Rowdyruff Boys.
"Thanks for helping us invite friends for our party," said Blossom. "Even though we did most of the work for you, you still started all of this to bring a lot of guests for the party. We really owe you one."
"Eh, it was nothing, babe," Brick replied. "After all, we always wanted to help-" But Blossom interrupted him with a kiss on the cheek, causing him to blush bright red. Bubbles also did the same to Boomer and he couldn't help but smile while blushing. Buttercup didn't want to do the same thing, but Butch, being the sly one he is, quickly did it for her by kissing her cheek, causing her to blush a shade of pink in embarrassment. The boys then looked up to where the girls were pointing at and saw that Big Jet was secretly carrying a mistletoe and he chuckled at the young couples. The six children couldn't help but blush.
"Everyone around here has proven to be all really useful," said Sir Topham Hatt. "Now, without any further delay, let the Chrstmas party begin!" As the lights around the station, including the Star of Knapford, all lit up, everyone danced to music, ate food, and enjoyed the party while it lasted. Even the diesels and their friends were having a wonderful time, and the Witch couldn't help but let out a smile of this joyous occasion. Then the Little Einsteins, Rocket, and the Powerpuff Girls all went up to Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys.
"This sure has been a wonderful Christmas, hasn't it?" Leo asked.
[It sure has,] Big Jet replied. [Don't you think so, boys?]
"You said it, Biggie!" Brick, Butch, and Boomer replied simultaneously. It was then Leo had an idea. He took out his baton and prepared to raise up his arms, and Big Jet started to do the same thing.
"Mission completion!" they said together.
"Merry Christmas!" everyone said altogether and the party went on and on happily. Big Jet and the Rowdyruff Boys had also learned a valuable lesson. Even when it comes to helping others, stealing something from someone else is never the right thing to do. But if you helped others out by working together, it was what makes Christmas a very merry one. And when you spend Christmas all on your family, friends, and sometimes your enemies and frenemies, it's what makes Christmas very special. And when everyone is together, they are all very happy. And that was what had happened today.
