Summary
Charles goes away on a mutant-recruitment mission, and this time, unlike the first one, Erik has to stay behind to care for and supervise the newest recruits. Which means their relationship has to become long-distance.
They are 3,381 miles away from each other. There are lots of phone calls, crying, and loneliness, and there are times when both of them seriously debate whether or not their relationship will survive.
But one night, at the end of an exhaustingly-long two months, Charles gets a call from Raven telling him to look outside his hotel window. Standing in the parking lot is the rest of the team from Westchester– and Erik.
