Caitlyn had been laying in bed watching the sun rise out of her large window. Somewhere at her ankles Isha was drooling and snoring loudly. For a girl who never spoke, she was quite a loud sleeper.
Then, on her arm Jinx clung to her tightly. She almost swore that she could feel the hold stopping her
Blood flow.
It didn't start out like this, all three of them fell asleep next to each other. Isha in between Jinx and Caitlyn, Jinx was telling Isha just how exciting Christmas is. Until they both passed out. That allowed Caitlyn to get up and place all the presents under the tree.
Jinx was very vocal about never having a tree for Christmas. She loved teasing her girlfriend about their different upbringings. She also often brought up that kids in Zaun didn't believe in Santa, but Caitlyn won that fight and Jinx agreed to let Caitlyn showcase the Christmas magic to Isha.
Caitlyn sighed as Jinx pulled at her arm with more force.
"The sun's coming up darling.."
She whispered, leaning her head to the side.
The bright blue haired girl simply shook her head slightly.
"What do you mean no? We gotta make breakfast for Isha.."
"Mmmmm... you go do that."
Caitlyn sighed. She knew she shouldn't indulge in every one of Jinx's whims but she always found herself kissing her girlfriend's forehead and agreeing.
It took a long time slithering out of bed. Caitlyn didn't want to wake Isha up, the young girl always had a lot of trouble falling asleep.
Caitlyn stumbled into the bathroom, staring at her reflection. She had a bite mark on her neck. She was reluctant to think about how that got there during the night.
She went for the tooth paste, and cleaned her teeth. She could still hear the snoring from in the bathroom. It made her smile. Like really smile.

Jinx rubbed her red/pink eyes as she walked into the kitchen. She breathed pretty loudly through her nose and found herself hugging Caitlyn from behind.
"Mmm.. what are you making today chef?"
She placed a kiss on the side of Caitlyn's shoulder, their height difference pretty evident here.
"I'm making eggs.. and bacon.. Jinx careful don't get burnt."
"It's okay.. you'll protect Me"
"That's not how that works."
Jinx whined and let go, stepping back.
"The monster is still sleeping, I don't know how she's such a heavy sleeper.."
Jinx continued rubbing her eyes, sitting down at the table.
"It's because you have her running around the city all day."
Caitlyn smiled at Jinx, turning her head to the girl before going back to the oven.
Caitlyn finished cooking while Jinx stared out the window.
As she started making plates she too looked out the window. It was snowing.
"Darling, go wake up Isha won't you?"
Jinx stood up and gave a little salute, then kissed Caitlyn's cheek and running off.
Caitlyn sat each plate on the table and went back to the counter, she grabbed 3 mugs and got to work making hot cocoa. She put extra sugar in Jinx's.
Caitlyn was putting the cups down when Jinx walked into the dining room with a yawning girl in her arms.
"Say hi to mommy."
Jinx joked, she knew Caitlyn didn't exactly love that name.
Isha waved, her eyes drooping.
"Set her down Jinx, I made hot cocoa."
Caitlyn sat between Jinx and Isha, holding the cup up.
She waited for Isha to wake up a little more.
"Here, blow on it. It's all got right now."
Isha blew on the cup, her smile widening as the chocolate liquid was displaced by her breath.
"Here, want me to help you?"
Caitlyn brought the mug to Isha's lips but the tired girl shook her head, taking it in her own hands.
The excited girl quickly brought the mug to her lips, which burnt, causing her to jump and spill around a third of it onto Caitlyn's white pajamas.
The resulting squeak caught the attention of Jinx who was staring out the window. Caitlyn was holding in a pretty loud yelp and just stood up.
"Don't worry darling- it's.. it's fine, oh don't cry."
Caitlyn picked Isha up, looking at the girl in her arms who had teary eyes.
"It's okay, I can make some more for you. Would you like that?"
Isha nodded slowly, trying to point at her pants.
"Oh don't worry about that, are you okay? Did any get on you?"
After making sure that Isha didn't get burnt, Caitlyn went back to the kitchen and poured more hot cocoa into the mug. She waited for a while, blowing on it so that Isha wouldn't get hurt again.
Caitlyn returned to the room, taking notice of Jinx's already empty plate and mug. She has reaching for one of Caitlyn's strips of bacon.
When Caitlyn sat down, she handed the less hot mug to Isha and took two pieces of bacon off her plate before handing it to Jinx. Caitlyn and Isha ate the rest of their breakfast while Jinx had to watch.
Jinx laid her head down, messing with her utensils. After eating enough Caitlyn pushed her plate to Jinx then she picked jinx's plate and isha's plate to go wash them.
"We're gonna go to the academy today. Jayce said he was gonna be there for a long time."
"That boy-"
She puts a strip of bacon into her mouth.
"Is always working!"
"He's a busy man.."

Caitlyn sat on the floor of her bedroom, jinx sat in between her legs. Braiding Jinx's hair took a very very long time. But Caitlyn didn't want Jinx to be sad, so she always did it herself with as much care as possible. No matter how tired she was in the morning.
Also, within the routine, after finishing the braiding Isha would jump in Jinx's spot and Caitlyn would give her a little braid too.
A small little rat tail.

Caitlyn held Isha in her arms, both of them in deep clothing while Jinx wore something much thinner. Jinx still had on a coat, due to Caitlyn's insistence but it was much thinner than the other two.
Making their way to the academy wasn't all that difficult, a lot of people were inside celebrating most likely.
"Ooh ooh Caitlyn look that guy's giving out chocolates"
Caitlyn smiled at Jinx and started walking towards the guy.
"Grab my wallet Jinx, it's in my left pocket."
Instead of going straight to the academy like Caitlyn had planned, Jinx set to spending all the money in her wallet on all the stands that were still open on the day. Soon Caitlyn was holding a paper bag as well as Isha.
When they finally did make it to the academy, and to Jayce's 'living quarters' Caitlyn let out a loud satirical sigh. She placed Isha down, who ran up to Jayce.
"Hey!"
Jayce, spun out from his chair letting his arms open from Isha to jump into.
"Hey Caitlyn"
He smiled at Caitlyn, then looked at Jinx.
"Oh! Ekko, Vi, and Heimerdinger are hanging out in the Hextech office room thingy, they're busy talking about something."
Jinx patted Jayce on the shoulder and walked out the room, to go see her friend and sister.
"I still can't really believe.. that."
Jayce presented Isha with a small figurine and started speaking with Caitlyn.
"Are you two, doing alright?"
"Oh come on Jayce, you're not my father. Jinx is.. she's good to me. I promise."
Jayce nodded.
"I won't pry, you've got your own life."

As jinx walks in she takes in the sight. Loud hip hop music plays as Ekko fiddles with something under his hands. Heimerdinger stands on top of a chair next to Ekko. His head bops with the song.
"What's up little man!"
Jinx grabbed ekko's shoulders, startling him as he works on some science experiment.
"Jinx!"
As he spins around her pulls jinx into a real tight hug.
"What are you doing here?"
"Well, I couldn't let you guys spend your entire Christmas over a desk."
"Ohh don't give me that. You've spent plenty of holidays working"
"That was before.."
Ekko shrugged Jinx off and started turning off the machinery.
"So, did you come alone or..?"
"No.. Caitlyn came with me."
When Ekko looked at Jinx, very subtly upset, she changed the subject.
"So what are you making?"
"Oh that? It's a secret. Me and the professor have been trying to figure it out for weeks now."
Heimerdinger waves to Jinx.
"Hello little miss! How has your Christmas Day been so far?"
Jinx waved back and smiled widely.
"We had a big breakfast and Caitlyn bought me a bunch of stuff. So great"
She presents two thumbs ups.
"So! Where's Vi?"
Ekko rolled his eyes, sitting back down in his chair and leaning back.
"Well I think she's in the bathroom?"
Ekko turns to Heimerdinger who nods quickly, the boy raises an arm and points to the yordle.
"Oh, well I guess I'll just wait here then.."
Jinx jumps over Ekko's chair and inspects the contraption. She holds up some sort of airship toy.
"It's a toy?"
Ekko grabs it from her quickly, hiding it.
"Damn it Jinx.. it's a gift! For the little one"
"Ohhh!!!"
She smiled widely again, her teeth displayed.

Caitlyn knocked on the door and walked in, Isha ran into the room with her figurine. Caitlyn quickly noticed Ekko and Jinx hiding something behind their back.
She raised an eyebrow, bur she assumed it was some sort of Christmas gift.
"Here we all are.. except.. where's Vi?"
Caitlyn looked towards Heimerdinger, who didn't seem to be busy hiding a gift.
"She's in the bathroom."
He hopped down, standing next to Isha. Which caused Jinx to cackle, almost dropping the gift.
"She's taller than you now!"
Heimerdinger looked at the girl.
"Oh wow, she is. She's very healthy if she's growing so fast"
Caitlyn smiled softly.
"You shouldn't laugh at that"
She walked over to the pair, leaning over their shoulders to see the gift.
"For her?"
She whispered.
"It's not done yet"
Ekko glared at Jinx like it was her fault. Caitlyn felt her eyes roll, before stepping back and picking Isha up.
"Let's go find Violet, Okay?"

Caitlyn didn't entirely remember the layout of the academy but traveling to the bathroom didn't take all that much effort.
seeing Vi for the first time since she's started dating Jinx was definitely a weird feeling. Sort of guilt? Maybe even a little bit of triumph, in the weird buried corner of her mind. But that didn't really matter when Vi hugged her and Isha. That hug showed Caitlyn that it was okay. She could still be friends with Vi.
"Hey! Did you two see Ekko and Jayce yet? They've been cooking up this really cool-"
Caitlyn shook her head.
"Right! Well then."
Vi rubbed Isha's cheek like some sort of grandma.
"Look at you! You're getting so big"
Isha giggled, almost dropping the figurine. Caitlyn caught it with her free hand and set Isha on the ground.
"She's real excited.. I think this is the first Christmas she's had.. ever.. Jinx told me that celebrating Christmas in Zaun wasn't very common. So I'm just hoping it's a good day for her.."
Caitlyn frowned slightly.
"Hey, it'll be great. You and Jinx are going to do a great job."
Vi smiled at Caitlyn.
"You think so?"
"Of course"

When Caitlyn returned, Ekko and Jinx exited pushing her out.
"They're going to need more time."
Ekko whispered to Caitlyn.
"Sorry"
Ekko ran forward and picked Isha up.
"Hey hey hey little lady. Do you want to ride on my board?"
"What!?"
Caitlyn looked at Ekko, then at Jinx who was smiling.
"She's NOT going on that thing"
Caitlyn crossed her arms, but Ekko and jinx were already running outside.
"At least put her coat on!"
Vi cupped her mouth as she yelled, shrugging at Caitlyn who was already chasing the pair.
"Okay, Isha. Climb on my back, give your toy to Jinx okay?"
Isha nodded, handing the figurine that Jayce gave her to Jinx before climbing onto Ekko, her little coat making her look more like a backpack.
"Ready little lady?"
Ekko's board slowly started to hover in the air as Caitlyn burst outside. Jinx grabbed her girlfriend laughing slightly. When Ekko flew off she gasped.
"Don't worry Caitlyn, he's got her."
Caitlyn held Jinx tightly as she watched Ekko do spins in the air, green light following him.
"He won't drop her, it's fine."
Jinx was softly reassuring Caitlyn.
Ekko felt the cold air hit his cheeks as he spun around. His left leg raised. He didn't bring a coat, so it was pretty uncomfortable for him.
"You alright?"
Ekko's hold on Isha was tight, he wasn't gonna drop the girl. He vaguely heard a quiet laugh and he wasn't sure if it was Jinx or Isha.
After a pretty quick flight, he slowly inched to the ground. His board hit the snow softly, as Caitlyn pulled Isha off his back. Caitlyn had her face in the girl's scalp, kissing her.
"You're so brave.."
Ekko turned to Jinx, who was looking at Caitlyn with absolute adoration in her eyes.

Jinx, Vi, Isha in Caitlyn's lap, and Heimerdinger all sat on the ground as Jayce and Ekko presented their invention.
"This! Is just a simple airship yes?"
Jayce smiled, showing Isha the toy. The girl nodded excitedly.
"Well! Me and Ekko have been trying really hard for the entire month.. until we were able to create this!"
He pressed a button and airship made a quick whoosh sound, which continued as he moved it around.
Isha looked really excited, her arm reaching out.
Jayce handed it to her, which she promptly started moving it around like a ship. It whooshed with her movements, which made her smile wider.
"Wow, impressing her was easy."
Ekko smiled.
"She likes the simple things- like I do."
Jinx smiled, as if she was showing off some reward she had received.
Caitlyn leaned back, as Jayce walked closer.
"That's going to get so annoying so fast."
Jayce smiled, an evil smile.
"We know."

The walk back to the Kiramman estate was filled with whooshes and laughs from both Jinx and Isha. At first it was cute, seeing her girlfriend play with the toy and be just as entertained as Isha. But the longer it went on, the more Caitlyn wanted to destroy the toy.
Caitlyn set Isha on a couch, taking her toy.
"You can play with this in a bit. First.. it's time to open those presents you've been eyeing all morning"
Caitlyn put the ship on a high ledge, neither Jinx or Isha would reach.
Caitlyn sat down, pulling Isha on her lap again.
"Tell Jinx which one you want"
After a series of points and disagreeing grunts, Jinx finally picked up the correct gift and placed it in Isha's hands.
"Open it up darling."
Caitlyn smiled adoringly as Isha opened the present and gasped. It was a small book, her first chapter book.
"Oooh. Santa got you a book hm? Let me see"
She leaned over Isha's tiny shoulder and read the title outloud.
"Well, are you excited to read it?"
"That's a boring gift! Here look, this one looks cool"
Jinx presents another present, which Isha took happily. When she opened it, it was a small white stuffed bear.
"Oh wowww, that's very cute right?"
Caitlyn reveled in Isha's cute reactions, she gave the girl a kiss on her scalp.

After a very long gift opening, and a lot of kisses from Caitlyn Isha was very very tired.
She wanted to sleep with Jinx and Caitlyn again so the three of them got ready for bed. Caitlyn took her time taking out both of the girl's braids and she wrapped a blanket around them. They spend a long time in bed, talking about the long day as Isha drifted off into sleep.

Caitlyn was vaguely woken up by the whoosh of an airship, she looked to her side and saw Jinx staring at her as Isha played with the toy.
Jinx mouthed.
'We're never taking a gift from them again.'
