    “I know baby,” She tried to fight back her tears, “We’re gonna help her. Rumi will be okay. Whatever it takes to get her through this.”

    “What if this, what if it kills her zo? And we didn't-” Mira choked, squeezing her, “Can she even consent Zoey!? I can't, fuck,” Mira was sobbing now, and Zoey lost it as well, “but she was in so much pain, and if we- if we can make it go away??”
