Summary
In this canon divergence AU, Rumi lashes out after the incident at the Idol Awards. Jinu and the Saja Boys manage to have a change of heart at a crucial moment, and Mira and Zoey struggle with what they saw from Rumi. Rumi works on herself in solitude while Jinu, Mira and Zoey notice something odd going on with their scents. While this uncanny grouping is working together to figure out what is happening to them, tensions flare, but can cooler heads prevail to reconnect and build from what was broken?

Summary
Mira had hoped her status as a rare female alpha would let her escape her family’s plans, but her arranged engagement to a vapid omega – no matter if she was noble – tossed her hopes out the window. Her only escape from her unpleasant reality is chatting with her best friend, who she is in no way attracted to, Zoey, and now with Zoey’s friend LavenderDemon, who understands her situation all too well.
Rumi had never wanted to carry the weight of her House; an arranged marriage to some knothead alpha dashes her hopes that she could live a peaceful, quiet life out of the spotlight. Mira kept her soulmarks hidden, always. As a child, she liked to look at them, tracing the abstract lines with her eyes and finding new shapes and patterns. Every soulmark was unique, a code that could only truly be read by a soulmate. To other eyes, it shifted and swayed into a mass of outlines and colors, beautiful but undefined. To a soulmate, it was like a night sky; different constellations hidden within it, revealing themselves before your eyes.
When she moved to Seoul, she couldn’t see the stars anymore, not with all the lights. She had stopped looking at her marks years before, as soon as she had presented as an omega. Now, they were just a representation of a new gilded cage, one she would do anything to avoid. Mira told herself it was the price she paid for freedom, losing the stars and her own constellations.

When Mira was a teenager, desperately seeking a way out from her controlling, overbearing, miserable family, she met a weird and also very famous lady. The weird, famous lady spirited her away (Mira took a cab, but whatever) to her not-at-all sketchy retreat in the mountains and told her she would become a famous Kpop idol and also a supernatural demon hunter who would defend the world from evil. Or else.
This, understandably, changed her life and her understanding of herself completely.

The spoon in Mira’s hand slipped and clattered against the porcelain bowl. Beside her, Rumi nearly choked on a mouthful of soggy cereal, coughing as her face turned crimson in less than two seconds.
They both stared at Zoey. Rumi’s wide eyes made her look like a startled owl, her cheeks burning. Mira looked a little more composed, but the request had clearly blindsided her too. Neither of them spoke.
Zoey, still focused on shoveling cereal into her mouth, didn’t notice right away. The words had tumbled out between bites, almost like an afterthought. It wasn’t until she felt the silence stretching around her that she paused, spoon halfway to her lips.
“What?” she asked, blinking at them. “Last time I couldn’t get a good look at it.”
A strangled sound escaped Rumi’s throat, her face somehow managing to grow even redder.

With the help of her girls, slowly, she learned to let herself be comfortable with her own skin— accept her heritage that she was so desperate to keep before.Years of actively taking the medicinal blockers Celine provided her since she was a child to hide her demonic features, she figured that it was more trouble than it's worth and finally stopped taking it altogether, and Zoey and Mira couldn't be more happier for her progress of self-love.
Problem is, Celine might have forgotten to mention the other thing it blocks— Rumi’s omega pheromones that's about to come back tenfold.
