Summary
Itachi had done many things he wasn't proud of. No matter how one might try to justify it, he had undeniably committed unforgivable crimes for what he believed to be the greater good. To make matters even worse, despite his best efforts, his actions hadn't ended up in Sasuke's favour at all, causing him only even more pain instead. The one thing he could confidently say he had done right was stopping the Edo Tensei and showing Sasuke the whole truth, but that didn't make up for a lifetime of mistakes.
With that in mind, waking up as a child nearly twenty years in the past was understandably a shock. After all, weren't there others who deserved a second chance more than he did? People who could do more good than him?
It was he who had ultimately been granted this opportunity, however, so it was up to him to seize it and create a better future. One in which his clan didn't have to die, Madara would be stopped, and, most importantly of all, Sasuke could be happy.
Itachi was going to make sure of it.

Summary
While leaving for Imperial Center under such circumstances was most definitively not a good thing, Leia couldn't feel too unhappy about it. After all, while she might love her father dearly, escaping his ever-watchful eyes for once did sound rather appealing to her. Furthermore, being at the centre of all galactic politics without him there to "protect" her might actually be really interesting!
She would need to work as an aide for some imperial official during her stay, of course, but if anything, that was a good thing as well considering that position would give her more insight into Imperial politics than watching her father had ever done.
Unfortunately, things got more complicated when she found out just who she would be working for...

“You have a car right?” She asks.
No, Shauna wants to say, no she does not, and has never had a car. But she can’t. Because right in plain sight, Shauna is holding the keys that she literally just dug out of her fucking pocket with a death grip that digs painfully into her palm. She would think it was deliberate, that Nat waited for Shauna to prove her Ford Festiva bonafides for this very moment. But by the way Nat is swaying with a nervous, glassy eyed energy, she doesn’t think Nat could think that far in advance.
“I do,” Shauna sighs out, trying not to just blow her off. She likes being nice to Nat, because every time someone is nice to her, she looks kinda surprised. Shauna finds it charming, and as repressed and closeted as she is, she has to take the opportunity to make a girl blush when she can get it.
Nat nods, chewing on her lip as if she isn't sure she wants to say what she's going to say next. But eventually she does, shifting from one foot to another with a low hum of anxiety. “Cool, great. Uh, I’m fucking starving. Wanna get out of here? Grab somethin’ to eat?”

“This is just a one time thing,” Natalie reinforces quietly, refusing to look at Lottie as she says it. Her voice isn’t bitter or gritting, it’s just matter-of-fact. It’s simply a command that this won’t happen again, that Natalie won’t find herself crawling through Lottie’s window on all fours any other night this week or month or year. Lottie doesn’t believe it for a second, but she agrees regardless. It placates Natalie, to give in to something like this where tenderness is on the line, so her silent head nod is nothing short of generous.
newsflash - it was not a one time thing. or; the girls get nightmares after being rescued. sleeping with someone else seems to help.

Nat turns and practically gapes at Shauna. She watches as Shauna chews on the inside of her cheek, fingers drumming against the steering wheel, like she’s nervous of what Nat’s answer is going to be.
“Shauna Shipman wants to skip school? AP student, future valedictorian wants to skip and do… what, exactly?” Nat doesn’t mean for her sarcasm to come out so biting, but luckily, it doesn’t seem to phase Shauna.
“I don’t know, the movies, the mall, whatever. You’re having a bad day and school is not the solution to making it better.”

Shauna convinces Nat to skip school while she's having a bad day. It turns out to be one of the best days Nat has ever had.
