"I can't believe you didn't buy anything, Josh. It's Christmas friking eve. You have to get up now dumb ass!" Hannah shouted while trying to pull Josh out of bed who was smiling and not budging.
"Wow, Hannah, don't you work out with Sam and no muscles tsk tsk. And I will. I'll just do same-day delivery. " Josh said
Hannah's eyes grew dark, and she let him go and then stared at him with a smile.
"Hannah ?" Josh said as he began to hide under the blanket. Hannah then skipped away. Something smelled. Josh's eyes widened and watered. "Oh god, Hannah, why ?!" Josh ran out of bed and opened the window. Then out of his room into Hannah's who was standing happily
"That's fowl. You need to see an exorcist, you nasty." Josh said with an unhappy expression on his face.
"That's what you get for even thinking about doing same-day delivery for Christmas presents. You have to go out and buy it in person like everyone else who forgot. I thought you would have gone all out for Mike and Chris. Since you looooove them. Are you gonna tell them yet" Hannah said. Josh walked around her room.
"I tried but nothings good enough I could get something they hate and they'll hate me. Also, they love each other they can't love me too. Not like how I love them." Josh said and sat down on her bed.
Hannah's face softened. "Oh Josh, you can't keep it in. You have to tell them how you feel. They could feel the same way. And if they don't you'll feel better once you tell them. Instead of keeping it in and keeping your distance. They know you are and Chris texted me if he did something wrong. When they come over tomorrow for Christmas you should tell them. Even if it'll hurt and scare you. But trust me once you do. Only good can happen from it." Hannah said.
"That's so cheesy, but as always, you're right. Thanks, Han. I'll head out to get the most romantical gifts for Mike and Chris." Josh said grabbing Hannah's pillow and smacking her hard with it. "That's for stinking up my room." He hugged Hannah after. "This is for being cheesy," Josh said, then got up, rustling her hair.
"Josh it took fucking forever to do my hair. Are you kidding?" Hannah said upset. While Josh left laughing.
Hannah blasted a Christmas Playlist while setting up for tomorrow. Christmas eve and everyone's coming over to celebrate Christmas. Beth came down the stairs, yawning, glaring at Hannah.
"Hannah. It's. Too. Early. For. This." Beth said with emphasis on each word. Hannah laughed and sang.
"It's beginning to look alike like Christmas !" She sang as Josh came barreling down the stairs. Singing along loudly.
"Everywhere you go. Take a look at the five and ten, it's glistening once again. With candy canes and silver lanes that glow.
Beth and Josh sang together. "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas
Toys in every store. But the prettiest sight to see is the holly that will be. On your own front door"
Beth huffed and went upstairs. "I need sleep i had a long day yesterday." She said and went into her room.
Hannah and Josh laughed. "Okay, I gotta go, Han. I know exactly what to get them." Josh said as he got ready to leave.
"Oh, tell me what is it," Hannah asked excitedly.
"I can't it's better as a surprise. It goes with my confession." Josh replied and then went into his car and headed to the store.
As he drove to the store he thought about the gifts and put on Christmas music. He saw beautiful houses decorated and it began to snow. He arrived at the store just in time. Josh ran in and out of the store quickly, not wanting to stay longer in case the snow got worse. He knew exactly what to get and where it was.
He was right to do so the snow came down heavier and faster. He looked around and saw people leaving. He walked to his car when he heard someone talk about it getting worse but her friend said it won't. As soon as he got in the car he checked the weather. There was a fifty percent chance it would. "Well fuck me then," Josh said out loud. Then began to drive carefully home.
After driving slowly, what took a few minutes drive was longer, he finally made it home. He saw Beth and Hannah salting and shoveling the driveway that was covered in snow, is now mostly gone. Josh parked his car and came out.
"We should go in side. We can shovel tomorrow when it stops, but I think it's going to get worse. Let's make sure everythings okay just incase." Josh said taking the shovel from Hannah.
"Okay yeah. I'll check the back up generator. Josh you wrap the gifts. Whatever you got. Hannah make hot chocolate and put on a movie." Beth said.
They all went their ways to do their jobs.
Hannah heated up milk and grabbed the creamy whipped cream, mini marshmallows, chocolate chip and sugar cookies, hot chocolate mix, and Christmas mugs they've had since they were kids. For each of them she prepared the cookies on a plate and hot chocolate in the mugs giving Beth little marshmallows but plenty whipped cream. Josh extra marshmallows and extra whipped cream. Then herself extra marshmallows little whipped cream
She hummed dashing through the snow while happily making it.
Josh went upstairs and grabbed some wrapping paper. He couldn't decide so he got a red and green glitter one, Santa with reindeer, and mistletoe theme. "I'll just use them all. Why not." Josh said to himself happily. He began to wrap the gift starting with the glitter wrapping paper. The tape would not stick to it. No matter how much tape it would not stick. That tape won't be tape. Frustrated Josh grabbed another wrapping paper quickly wrapped it over the glitter one and taped it up. No one's gonna know. He hummed have you're self a merry little Christmas. As he wrapped the gifts.
Beth went downstairs to the basement to check on the generator. Just incase the power goes out everything will still run. Once she reached the stairs she felt something on her shoulder. She looked over and saw a spider. "Shit!" She yelp. Swiping at the spider and quickly made her way to the generator. With a sigh humming the grinch she cheaked on the generator. Made sure it was clean, plugged in, everything it needed to work just in case. She backed up and saw everything was fine and was about to go upstairs, when she heard a clatter across the room. She went over to see what it was. She grabbed a bat by the wall and froze once she saw movement behind the pillar. Slowly and tall masked figure moved from it and ran towards Beth. Beth screamed and ran from it as it gained on her. She threw the bat he doged it and cornered Beth. Beth froze and watched him take off the mask. It was Josh.
"What the fuck Josh?!" Beth yelled while he laughed backing away from her. She couldn't help but smile. Once she knew who it was. It was a good scare. "I'll get you for this Josh. Dumb ass. Vengeance shall be mine." She cackled an evil laugh.
"Yeah okay sure. Let's go vengeance." Josh said.
They went upstairs and enjoyed Hannah's cookies and hot chocolate made just how they liked it. While watching a Christmas movie they fell asleep happy and looking forward to tomorrow.
Hannah woke up first and saw Josh and Beth asleep. She made them breakfast eggs, christmas pancakes that had sprinkles and chocolate chips in it, and sausages their favorites. She set it on table while Beth and Josh woke up to the smell and made their way to dining room. Josh helped Hannah set the table and they all sat and ate breakfast.
"Are you ready for today Josh." Hannah asked.
"I'm terrified. I want to do this but I'm so scared. What if they reject me or worse what if they accept me and realize I'm terrible no matter what. What if the hate how clingy I'll get. What if they hate how I'll have bad days. I take my meds but sometimes I get so fuck. I don't know. I don't want to lose them. I don't want to be not enough for them.." Josh said looking down at his plate moving the food around.
"Josh they love you. They will absolutely love and cherish you and if you think you'll be too clingy then you haven't seen how clingy they are. Also they've known you for years. They've always stayed by your side and they seriously have never even got upset at you on your bad days or did anything remotely close to that. They've stayed by your side and they always will. It's okay to be nervous and terrified but don't let it hold you back. Do it, do this and you'll be so happy and free." Beth said reassuringly and reached out to his hand patting it.
Josh smiled and hugged her and ate again. "Thanks" he said. They finished eating. As Hannah and Beth cleared the table Josh went to the window and saw the outside was completely covered in a white sheet of snow. It stopped snowing but wow that's alot. "I'm gonna head out and clear the drive way." He said as he got ready and grabbed his shovel as he head out.
The drive way was huge and Josh knew he'd spent a while outside. He got to work shoveling snow avoiding the decorations.
After a while Josh saw a car driving up the mostly shoveled drive way. He saw it was Mike and Chris he dived behind a tree waiting for them to walk by. He made a couple of snowballs to throw at them. Waiting he heard them come out of the car and walk towards him since the tree is near the front door. Then it was silent. Confused he stepped out and didn't see them. Did they go instead already.
Then he was tackled on the ground pinned by Chris and Mike threw a poorly made fluffy snowball that fell apart before it his face but some did.
"Did you really think you could sneak up on us. Tsk tsk Josh." Chris said getting up. "Come inside we got gifts bro."
Josh smiled "I'll get you next time. I got you gifts too. It's huge dude. " Josh said as they went inside. Then he ran upstairs on all fours making Mike and Chris laugh how ridiculous he looks.
Josh grabbed the gifts and went downstairs his stomach in knots and hands sweating to top it off he also feels nauseous. Seeing Mike and Chris sitting by tree close together talking and smiling. Made him feel worse but excited.
He went downstairs and gave them the gifts. "This is for you. And once you open it I'll tell you what it means." He said seriously.
Mike opened his gift first carefully and saw a DVD of the first horror movie they saw together. "Oh man I remember this. We saw it together years ago. I was screaming so much. Clinging to you like my life depended on it. Then I couldn't sleep for a month thinking it was gonna get me. I stayed over at your place didnt wanna be alone for a while. Haha I love it." Mike said with a smile hugging Josh tightly patting his head and back.
They let go and looked at Chris who opened his. It was a photo in a beautiful frame of him and Chris at his 16 birthday. Faces covered in cake with big smiles. " I remember this. It was your birthday and the cake was on the table you were siting in front of it when the new kid you invited pushed your face in. That fucking pissed me off. I kicked him out literally outside. You were so sad and upset I put my face in the cake so we could have cake face together. I didn't want you be alone in that. You laughed so hard and made me laugh so hard I needed my inhaler." Chris said smiling with tears in his eyes.
Josh looked down playing with his fingers spoke quietly and nervously. "The reason I gave you this is because..." Josh spoke shakingly tears in his eyes. "Those were the exact times I fell in love with you. I have been in love with the both of you for years. I've been so deep in love with you. But you had eachother I stayed away..but I want to tell you I love you and i would like to date both of you and I promise to be best and I want to be with you forever. I love you Mike. I loved how you clunged to me in that movie and I loved helping you after it. Reassuring you and comforting you and explain how it was made. Chris i loved how protective you were and how you helped me and put your face in the cake. It made me feel so loved amd I saw your face glow brighter then the sun. I love you both Mike and Chris. Would you..if..you want to. Date me and I date both of you..."
Mike and Chris looked at eachother and laughed. For a second Josh felt so confused then again he was tackled on the ground. But by both of them hugging him tightly and Mike was kissing his cheeks while Chris was sniffling and clung tightly. "Hell fucking yes Josh. We've been in love with you too. We were going to ask you to bring ours today. Oh my god." Mike said happily. Josh beamed a huge smile.
Chris kissed his cheeks. "I love you so much Josh. Im never leaving your side. We are going to cling to you so much. You'll need a crow bar to separate us." Chris said happily.
"Awww i knew it." Hannah happily said looking at the new happy couple.
Josh full on crying happily hugged back Mike and Chris sat up and they clung to eachother. Holding hands and wrapped arms and legs to eachother. Talked as every one else came over and opened more gifts and watched a Christmas movie. Josh was in the middle of Chris and Mike holding hands and cuddling, Sam and Hannah cuddling with a blanket, Matt and Emily together with Matt's head on her lap. Beth and Ashley talking about the movie their fingers touched and Ashley looked away at the movie blushing with Beth. Smiling Josh promised himself he'd help them.
