“Hm.” Erlang glanced down at himself. As if finally realizing something, a light pink tinted his cheeks, which was pretty noticeable on his pale features. Albeit you had no idea why the great Erlang Shen would be embarrassed over anything, you offered quickly, “Langjun, don't worry. I'm not a gossipy type―” Lies. “―so I'd never tell anyone anything. And like you said, we're both, eh, men here, so nothing to be ashamed about. You're strong, I'm sure someone just used stupid tricks to trap you because they're a coward.”
Come to think of it, maybe that was why he was suddenly embarrassed? It was nothing for you to be trapped, considering you were as weak as a child, but for someone like Erlang who once fought the Monkey King, it must be pretty embarassing and depressing to be in this type of situation.
You completely missed Erlang's frown, or the way his lips parted to correct your thoughts. After a second though, he seemed to give up, allowing you to reach your own conclusions for peace’s sake.
