Henry stares down at Alex’s body.
His gleaming, golden body. The sweat pooling on his stomach. The flush that he follows from a chest rising and falling rapidly to a face turned up to his, lips parted.
He looks equally as wide-eyed as Henry. This is likely due to the fact he came half a second ago and not, like Henry, because he kissed Alex’s jaw in the heat of the moment and Alex didn’t up and die.
(Or: Henry is the spare, a witch with unfathomable levels of magic, and subject of an impenetrable spell cast after his father’s death that ensures no lover can kiss nor remember him.
