Summary
Adeline had known vampires existed for most of her life, she was never really told about their existence she just kind of already knew. Just like she had known a lot of other things; short of like déjà vu. It is how she sailed through most lessons in school without ever needing to study, or how she knew exactly how to bake souffle perfectly at 12 years old without a recipe almost as if she had made it millions of times before. Or how she knew Stefan Salvatore was a vampire the second she saw him.
She just never really knew why. In till she did.
