“What the hell is this, Icyhot?” Katsuki growled as he stared at the small box Todoroki had just handed him out of nowhere.
“It’s a necklace,” Todoroki replied, like Katsuki wasn’t glaring daggers at him.
“I can see that, genius,” Katsuki snapped as he opened the box. A silver chain shined in the light. He turned it over in his hand, his scowl lessening for just a second. “What’s this supposed to mean? You think I need jewelry or somethin’?”
Todoroki shrugged. “You don’t need it, but I thought it’d suit you.”
Katsuki scoffed, but the blush creeping up his ears betrayed him. “Tch. You’re such a damn sap, Half-and-Half.”
From the couch, Kaminari whispered to Shinso, “Is it just me, or is Blasty actually blushing?”
Shinso smirked. “It’s not just you. He's a softie.”
“Shut it, Pikachu!” Katsuki barked at them, his hearing apparently as sharp as ever as he shoved the necklace in his pocket. “I’ll wear it when I feel like it, got it?”
As the night wore on, Katsuki seemed to forget that he wasn't the only one in the room. His fingers played with the chain, occasionally brushing the silver surface. Todoroki sat beside him, watching with a smile on his face.
From the couch, Kaminari nudged Shinso. “Told you he’d cave. He’s basically a walking rom-com.”
Shinso rolled his eyes. “Yeah, except the rom-com is directed by Michael Bay. Explosions everywhere, subtlety nowhere.”
Kaminari snickered but quickly stopped when Katsuki turned to glare at them. “You got somethin’ to say, Sparky?”
“Nope!” Kaminari threw his hands up in surrender but his grin betrayed him. “Just admiring your... uh, taste in accessories.”
“Idiots,” Katsuki muttered, though his hand never left the necklace.
Todoroki leaned closer, “It looks good on you.”
“Shut it, Icyhot,” Katsuki grumbled out, but the the pink on his cheeks betrayed him.
As the two bickered like usual, Kaminari sighed dreamily. “True love.”
“Keep dreaming,” Shinso said, but when Kaminari leaned his head on his shoulder, he didn’t move away.
