Chapter Text
The schoolhouse of Playcare was fairly silent for a Friday, maybe it was because it was an off day, maybe not, who really knew? Miss Delight was sitting at her desk, peacefully reading a book, to avoid lesson planning seeing as at the moment she had no students and there was no need to. Right as she felt relaxed, that's when there was a knock at her classroom door, of course, mentally she wanted to yell "Fuck off!" to whoever was there, but seeing as she was technically working, she couldn't, so with a sigh she got up and opened the door, and to her surprise, Leith Pierre was there with a basket, just like he had been with the nightmare critters.
"Good afternoon, Mr. Pierre" Miss Delight said, trying to keep her very fake smile plastered on her face. "Afternoon Miss Delight." Leith started as he gently handed the basket to her. "Mr. Ludwig sent me down here with these ones once again, and like last time there's 8 of them. Although I wouldn't get your hopes up. The purple one is the runt of the litter, those ones usually don't make it the first week, so, good luck Ma'am." Leith said as he walked out. Miss Delight stood there practically in shock. "Runt of the litter..?" she thought to herself, closing the door and setting the basket down carefully.
Miss Delight sat down next to the basket and carefully opened it, beginning to take each critter out gently. The first one she picked up was a small orange puppy, she decided she would call this one DogDay. Next she pulled out a red and pink bear cub, she decided she'd call this one Bobby Bearhug. Then she pulled out a small yellow chick, this one, to her, was easy, considering he was being feisty when she picked him up, she'd call him Kickin Chicken. Next she pulled out a turquoise blue baby elephant, she'd call this one Bubba Bubbaphant. The next one she pulled out was a green rabbit kit, considering how quickly the baby bunny tried to hop away, she decided to call her Hoppy Hopscotch. To Miss Delight's surprise, the next one, the next one she pulled out was a small white unicorn, she was running out of name ideas by now, but she decided to name her CraftyCorn. Next, Miss Delight pulled out a very tiny purple and indigo kitten, who was barely the size of the palm of her hand, this must've been the "runt" Leith was talking about. The kitten seemed fairly comfortable in her hand, she decided to call this one Catnap. Then, lastly, she pulled out a pink piglet, who was not too happy about being held, she decided to call this one PickyPiggy.
