Chapter Text
He wandered until he found his way by the ocean once more. He saw a smaller island in the distance. The water, it called to him-- it felt like safety. He leaned over the water and lost his balance. He fell into the water and inhaled in his surprise. And he discovered that he could breathe just fine underwater.
Though, this specific water was rather filthy. Staying underwater, he floated over to the middle of the bay. He felt complete here, under the waves. He felt connected to the world, he felt powerful. He fell asleep amidst the waves and his mind and soul wandered into the realm of dreams. The poison he had taken unto himself, it thirsted for revenge. It sought out the evil clown.
The clown laid asleep in his padded room. He had long ago cheated death and lost his humanity, and ever since he has only caused suffering. He was a monster, killing and torturing many innocents, many children, just because he could, because he thought it was funny.
His spectral figure appeared in the room with the clown. He was wearing a black toga with a blood-red trim, with long black hair and blood-red eyes. He made no noise as he floated into the room and approached the sleeping figure.
He reached out a spectral hand and reached through the clown’s chest, squeezing his heart to stop it before the clown could wake and react. He then drew his sword and decapitated the clown in one smooth motion to ensure his death.
He removed the corrupted soul and vanquished it to the afterlife, marking the soul as irredeemable, to be punished. This soul had committed great evil, it deserved to be punished, to suffer for the suffering he had caused. He prayed for the soul to suffer and then be destroyed entirely so it could never be resurrected or revived in any way.
He felt no remorse. Slaying monsters is what he does, and this man had long since been twisted into a monster. The astral figure dissipated from the room, returning to the sea from which it came.
The green was sated with its revenge, he finished filtering it from his body until it dissipated. A distance aways, the Revenant finished healing with his revenge fully achieved, now fully alive now without his death haunting him.
His mind wandered further into the realm of dreams, seeking out innocents to protect and monsters to slay.
