Work Text:
Nate winced as the needle pierced through his skin once more. He really hated getting stitches done at any time. Even more when it was Eliot giving them to him, especially when Eliot was annoyed with him. Because no matter what Eliot said he did in fact take out his frustrations with Nate taking a risk out via painful medic care.
"It would hurt less if you stopped moving away," Eliot said.
"I know," Nate bit out. "It would also hurt less if you didn't stab the needle in so hard."
"I am using the appropriate amount of force."
He stabbed the needle in again. And if Nate wasn't imaging it, that time was even harder than the last. His body flinched against his control again and Eliot placed his hand not holding the needle against his skin in a somewhat soothing manner. The gloves that Eliot wore only slightly diminishing the effect.
"Only a few more," Eliot said, in a tone that matched the gesture of comfort.
Nate took a deep breath and braced himself for the next stitch. Which was better than the last, almost nothing more than a slight pinch. The last two were the same and Nate was finally able to breathe a sigh of relief when Eliot snipped the thread and set the needle down.
"Just need to put the bandages on," he said.
But that was going to take a minute since Eliot chose to change his gloves at that point as well. Which Nate did appreciate. Since it meant there would be less blood on the bandages and he wouldn't have to change them as soon.
"There," Eliot said as he finished. "You know the care drill already."
"That I do," Nate said.
They stood and started to clean up all the mess.
