Work Text:

Eliot watched the room for any sign of trouble. Because it was bound to happen. Not only was he there in the house of and FBI agent, but so were Parker and Hardison. Because when the party planner he was undercover with had managed to wiggle out of him that he had two partners she had admitted the same.

Then invited him to bring his partners to dinner at her house. Which he hadn't been able to get out of.

El was an interesting woman and he was very glad she and Sophie hadn't met.

Though the fact that her boyfriend was Neal Caffrey certainly said a lot about how that would go. And the fact that there was an FBI agent dating (in secret of course) a conman of Caffrey's level? Well he thought that was a very interesting turn of events.

At least Caffrey wasn't blowing their cover. He was sitting and chatting with Hardison about forgery, which at first had made Peter nervous until Hardison pulled out his long standing FBI cover and he calmed down. So they were talking about ways to spot forgeries (and make them). Caffrey knew who he was really talking to. Had made it clear the moment that he had first set eyes on the trio. But he wasn't blowing their cover.

Though Eliot knew he would if there was any sign of their wrong doing hurting him or his partners. He knew that there would be a conversation before they left New York about what was actually happening there.

But for the moment Eliot would enjoy getting to cook with someone that got his style and he could tell his partners were enjoying themselves as well. And when it came to bite them in the butt? They would deal with it.
