Work Text:
Sophie had a rule about not approaching their marks after they were taken down. It only ever led to problems in the future. But this one time she was going to break that rule. Because this mark was unlike any other to Sophie.
Alexandra Bligh.
Something about the woman had gotten under Sophie's skin like no other mark that she had ever encountered. Something that made want to go back and talk to her after the fact. Just to see if there was a reason that she couldn't stop thinking about her.
So there she was waiting in the prison visitor room. Until finally Bligh was brought to where she waited. As soon as the other woman saw who it was waiting for her there was a smile on her face that got under Sophie's skin. Like the woman could just tell that she was still getting to Sophie.
"You were not at all who I expected to come and visit me," she said as she sat down.
"I didn't expect to be coming to visit either," Sophie responded in a clipped tone.
"Then why re you here?"
Sophie paused, debating on what to say. On how much truth to share.
"I am not entirely sure," she said, after a long pause. "I just needed to make sure that you were really in here."
"That actually sounds like it might be the truth."
There was a peculiar look on Bligh's face. One that told Sophie she might just understand too much. Things that Sophie was still figuring out for herself.
"That it is."
There was a long moment of silence between them. Neither seemed willing to break the silence. Until their time was up and Sophie stood to leave.
"I hope this won't be the last I see of you."
